There are not many cat groomers in this area, and we really needed our matted cat to be groomed and shaved. They did an awesome job! Really impressed how he got her cleanly shaved, smelling good and still looking cute. Reasonably priced too. read more

I was really disappointed with my experience at this establishment this evening. I entered their building at approximately 5:35-5:40PM; they close at 6:00PM. There wasn't anyone at the counter and I had to seek someone out to check me in. After a few minutes a young man came around the corner and said, "How can I help you." I replied, "I need to wash my dog really bad she's smells like dead fish." To which he immediately replied, "We don't allow walk ins after 5:30PM because we close at 6:00PM." Prior to this conversation I noticed all the U-Wash spaces were completely cleaned up and mats hung...this made me think it was a clean space, not closed as the hours on the door said close at 6:00PM.. I replied to the young man, "Are you serious? Is there another location in Bend I can go?" He replied, "I don't know if any other dog wash place in Bend." When I left I was pretty upset and did NOT see anywhere posted on or in their building that walk-ins were not accepted after 5:30PM. Another gentleman pulled up and I asked him if he intended to wash his dog right now. He said yes and I asked him to double check my findings as I was pretty disappointed and I'd be reviewing my experience accordingly. Shortly after he came back out with his dog with the same look disappointment. He asked, "Will you be writing that review on Yelp?" I said, "Yep!" I've been going to this establishment since I moved to Bend nearly two years ago. I've brought my own dog along with several of my other friend's loving canines and I really cannot continue at this point. With this experience along with the fact that they've increased their U-Wash by $5 ($20 total) is no longer a value for me coupled with extremely poor customer service....No Thanks! read more

I see bad reviews/reputations for dog washes but let me reassure you here. My companion and I have had good service here. You might think it's "pricy" or unnecessary but this isn't just a bathhouse. This is a full-on grooming service. As in nail trim, brush, wash, blow-dry etc. Some dogs can be a handful but I 101% trust my dog's safety in this business's hands. The prices are reasonable here for the services provided and if you want things done right I highly recommend this establishment. Today I had an appointment with Kendra F. and I would highly recommend her for appointments. She is such a polite, knowledgable, and trustworthy employee. She is such a delight and deserves recognition for all the hard work she puts in for our furry friends! Thank you, Kendra. I've been going here for several years now only because it's close but the people aren't friendly and the service is awful. Posting this review because I arrived at 5:31 today with my dirty dog to to do a quick self wash and the two girls, who were sitting at the counter doing nothing, told me I was too late. Apparently one minute past 5:30 is too late when the place is empty and someone is paying them to be on their cell phones. Rude people who don't like other people let alone dogs. read more

I had to take my cat for grooming for the first time ever due to some nasty dreadlocks on her hind quarters. The groomer came out to meet me, on time, and talked about her personality and needs. He felt he could get them out, but I asked him not to stress her and do what was the best for her. He was able to get ALL the dreadlocks out in a short time, determined she did not need bathing and did only what was necessary to have a healthy pet. They whole staff loved on her and she was not stressed or weird when I picked her up. He then recommended tools I could use and where to buy them. I had NEVER been to a groomer before and I felt this was top notch service and care. Best is they didn't do a bunch of unnecessary things to her. Will so go back. read more

The staff at Muddy Paws are so helpful and accommodating! My dog was a stinky, dusty dirty mess and squeezed her in last minute (they had a cancellation but still...). My dog is always happy to be there and she comes home smelling, and looking, beautiful! read more

I have been bringing my Labrador Retriever here for over a year. Each time, she gets a thorough bath and brushing, leaving her coat super clean and shiny. Such nice staff! Large wash basins with the ability to collar your dog at two different levels. There is a step stool if you need and aprons. They ask questions to help determine what type of soap/conditioner to provide. You can add services to the basic wash. I was able to have my dog's nails trimmed here also. They provided a dryer and brush(add on service). Staff came by several times to check in with us. The price was right for all this! Granted I had to do it myself but it was more than twice as cheap than going to Full service grooming. They do provide that service if you like. Be sure to come at least 30min before closing or you won't be able to get the wash in. They literally provide everything you need! Just bring your dog! read more

I've been bring my lab here for 6 years and last time I went in they doubled the price of his bath! Really! I know it's Bend but that's ridiculous! Unfortunately, with the new owners came major change including unfriendly staff and cleanliness. I've been a Bend Local since 1984 and will not be calling this my local place any longer. read more

I took my dog here several times, but the last two times he experienced rather bad razor burns after the haircut. Last time was so bad I had to take him to the vet. He was yelping in pain. I gave them one more shot because in the past they had been good, but I cannot risk bringing my dog there anymore. He had the same groomer both times there was an issue, and maybe it was her, but the ownership should then be more careful with what groomers they employ. Update: I spoke with the owner after she reached out to me. I appreciate her efforts to address this issue, and that should definitely be considered by anyone reading this review. If this happens to you and your dog (hopefully it will not) she encourages to bring the dog back to the bathhouse to show as a "teaching moment" to her staff. She made it clear that she believes firmly in the health of her four legged visitors and that if such an experience were to happen she will pay for any bills from the vet. She seemed sincerely passionate about making things right to the extent she could. read more

I took one of my dogs in a few weeks ago and was so pleased with the whole experience! I've never taken a dog to a salon before and half expected the cold, sterile environment of big pet chains with employees that don't really give a damn... couldn't be more wrong! The salon itself is really cute and welcoming - I like that the space for dog mommies to wander is nice and big - you don't feel like you can't watch and see that your baby is OK. What I loved the most is the people! Everyone from the front desk gal to the person holding the blow dryer were friendly, helpful and seemed to really genuinely love my dog too! As this was my first time leaving her somewhere - that really meant a lot to me. When I picked her up not only was she beautifully groomed - covered up a botched trim that I had started myself before deciding it was time to call the pro's! - They also reassured me that she was well behaved and didn't mind being groomed at all. When I adopted my dog, the previous owner recommended Muddy Paws. MP is a customer friendly place that provides an excellent service, including reminder calls. They do a great job with the coat but I especially appreciate that they cover all the hygiene bases, e.g., glands expressed, ears cleaned, nails trimmed. I was in town from Portland visiting my in-laws. We went on a hike near the river and my two dogs got pretty mangy. Rather than mess up my in-laws' house, I took my dogs to Muddy Paws to get cleaned up. It was my first time using a self-wash station but the front desk staff made it really easy. They were friendly, helpful, and took time to pet my dogs and help make them feel at ease. My male dog has sensitive skin so I was really happy with all of the different shampoo and conditioner options available. They also provided brushes which was great for after bath shedding and had a dryer as well. I would definitely recommend this place! read more
