Yum! It felt as if we were walking into some secret, incredible speakeasy right in the heart of downtown Eureka Springs. Walking down the stairs into the first room was an experience. The decor in the second room feels as if you have walked into a Victorian parlor with a mix of speakeasy. I loved the art which was from local artist and available to purchase! The service was great. Our server was attentive as much as she could be. It was really busy but our order was taken quickly, our food came out pretty fast, and we were checked in on a couple of times so no complaints! They have an area where they sit out 4 different kinds of coffee (including their house blend and a decaf) that is called their endless cup. Once seated, you can walk over and serve yourself (sweeteners and creamer are there as well) so no need to wait if you need some coffee! I think it was just 65 cents. I also ordered one of their special seasonal iced coffees as well. My boyfriend got a seasonal match drink. All of them including their signature blend of coffee are delicious! The food was awesome. We got the spicy cheese grits loaded with eggs, veggies, and bacon. A huge platter! A berry stuffed pancake and a biscuit as well. Everything was scrumptious! I loved that the berries were stuffed into the pancake and not just on top. The spicy cheese grits did have a kick to them! We shared all of the items and both agreed everything was delicious! Definitely a place I will return to on my next visit!! read more

This review is just for the coffee. We didn't need caffeine but stopped in because the idea of an underground café sounded fun. The space itself is pretty neat, and the service was friendly. Unfortunately, the drinks were a major letdown. The espresso was just okay, but my iced sugar-free caramel latte was downright awful--overly sweet, overloaded with milk, and completely lacking any coffee flavor. It was so unbalanced that I couldn't finish it. read more

Wanted to try Mud Street Cafe to dine in the Eureka "underground." It has a cool ambiance with a historic stone wall, a large wood bar and a few stained glass pieces covering windows that originally looked out onto the street. We had great service. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. Food came out quickly and we were very pleased with our sandwiches. We both had salads with honey lime dressing, which was delicious. Although I asked if I could upgrade my side of chips to a side salad and was told yes. Although when the bill came, I discovered it was the full $8.50 house salad price. read more

We just stopped in for a coffee drink on our morning walk. Fortunately they have a coffee bar in which you can order to go. This may be the only spot that offers espresso beverages and really good coffee to go. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We took a look around while the drinks were being prepared. Great ambiance. It's a nice place for coffee and breakfast but is not open daily so plan accordingly. read more

Came here on a Monday morning and was able to get seated quickly. The service was excellent, and we were never without help during our breakfast. We appreciated the many vegetarian options. Not everything in a diner/ cafe needs bacon. We also appreciated the cleanliness and hominess of a basement-style cafe. Highly recommend. read more

Mud St. Cafe - Eureka Springs Great food surrounded by great staff!!! If you're looking for a place with generous food portions, you've arrived! Let's start from the beginning. When you are looking to park to eat here, you have option to pay cash or through mobile app, "Passport Parking." Mobile App parking has clearly designated spaces. App is easy to use. It cost me $3.15 for 3 hours. Once you enter through the doors, you will go downstairs to the cafe. To my knowledge, this would not be a good eating place for people in wheelchairs. I didn't see alternative options. If someone knows something different, please comment on here and correct me. Once I entered the cafe, a friendly young lady greeted me and asked, "How are you? Where would you like to sit?" Once at my table, she mentioned, "Coffee is self-serve and unlimited refills." You can choose from; "Mud Street Blend," "Dang Good Decaf," "Ethiopia," and "Guatemala." I tried the bold and dark flavors of, "Mud Street Blend," and it tasted very good. Offering Dark cherry, Smoky Overtone and Bakers Chocolate Notes. The menu selection is vast and offers so many good options. After spending some time, I finally settled on, "Grilled Tuna Sandwich." - $16.25 (Grilled 8oz Yellow Fin Tuna Steak on sourdough toast, with lettuce, tomatoes and red onions.) The sandwich was so big that I couldn't even finish my entire plate. But it had great flavors. Tuna was cooked to order and in the shape of a heart. Jennifer was my waitress. She also happens to own this wonderful, multi-year, Award Winning Restaurant. Just like the staff, Jennifer was very approachable and easygoing. She was very helpful in helping me with some questions I had about the area. Thank you Jennifer for your help and advice. The atmosphere was cozy with plenty of seating options. You have a good sized bar with lots of drinks to choose from. They offer Breakfast and Lunch. Next time I come, I've gotta try their breakfast. I've heard great things about it from the locals and the staff. Yes, absolutely recommend it. read more

Decor is cool. Service is good. Food takes forever so don't go hangry. The potatoes came out not as hot as I'd like it to be. The tomato basil soup was okay. Both soup and potatoes tasted very peppery. Burger was good. Overall, food was okay. read more

The food was amazing! 5 stars, EVERY SINGLE front of house worker was the worst service I have ever experienced. We were not checked on a single time we were there. We had to go to the bar to get water after we asked for them with the server. When I asked if we had to get our own water, the bar staff looked at me like I was the dumbest person they had ever came in contact with. I would suggest getting it to go. Yall need to work on your service staff. read more

Great service, BUSYYYY get there early and you barely have to wait for a small party, get there later on with a large group, prepare to be patient and quietly wait. The coffee bar is self serve and you get to choose as many syrups as you want, they bring it to you and you flavor your coffee to your preference! The portions were big, and the food was delicious. Had to wait for food for a bit, but that's expected when you're the busiest breakfast place in town! Not ADA accessible, large flight of stairs to go down into the restaurant, plan accordingly. Tip your waiter staff, and get the grits read more

The food here is truly delicious and amazing in every way. A little bit in the greasy end but who doesn't like something greasy every once in a while. The hot coco was delish as well, and the pancakes - let me tell you they were gigantic! But smooth and soft to the bite. The service was why it only got 4 stars, understandable that they were busy, but it felt like when taking our order they did not like taking our order and was rushing us to order and get it done with. Service 5/10 Taste 7.5/10 Ambiance 8/10 read more

Lives up to the hype. Went for lunch and everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. Not the cheapest meal in town but worth it. We did not have to wait at all around 12:30 pm on a Sunday. It was the Weeknd after Christmas so may have been slow. Cool story about the underground nature of the restaurant which wasn't always underground. Have to go to learn the history. read more

The staff here is fantastic and they do you have any questions about the menu there are there to tell you just how wonderful it is The food is fantastic. Their drinks are too. Had a good time with my wife here. Got seated as soon as we walked in and our servers were really timely throughout our time there! I got the honey mustard chicken sandwich which was just a chicken sandwich with mustard on the side. I thought the chicken was cooked well, but I think it wouldn't be a bad combo to flavor the chicken in some honey sauce! Overall good time here and if you're looking for a not-so-busy sit down restaurant I recommend this place! read more

Environment is beautiful. Staff was friendly. Food was pretty good! My only complaint is it's a self serve coffee which is fine but don't charge me for two cups, after only getting one cup, just because there's two people in my party. Not ok to charge for things that people don't use. Otherwise it was good. read more

Cute place but down several stairs so if you can't do stairs be warned. We stopped in for breakfast, I would do it again. Ordered the all meat omelette with breakfast potatoes which came with toast too. Just a simple no frills breakfast omelette. Also had a pancake, which was as large as the plate. The pancakes are a special sour cream recipe and yummy. They can be ordered plain or with a variety of fruits and or nuts. Coffee is self serve so you never have to wait for the server to refill your cup. There where 4 coffees to choose from, I had a cup of all 4 and they all where yummy. The self serve coffee bar also had to go cups so you could take one with. read more

Good experience! A little pricey, had the hamburger and enjoyed it. Comes with chips or for an upcharge you can get fry's.

Food was ok other than one of our group got biscuits and gravy. COLD. Sent back to warm up and never came back!! Luckily the rest of us had plenty of food to share. The food was decent and the service was as well. The restaurant was FREEZING though!!! Take a jacket read more

Things here have gone downhill since the last time we dined here...... I ordered the ham and cheese omelet and my wife had sausage and eggs (over medium). My omelet was overcooked and my wife's eggs were cooked to a point where the yolk was hard. The sausage was so overdone you could not cut it with a fork, so our server offered bacon and fresh eggs. Bacon came back limp and undercooked and eggs were runny and undercooked. To top it off this place is filthy. Food on the walls and a bug smashed on the picture at our table. Stairs do not appear to have been vacuumed in years. For $38 breakfast I expected more...... read more

Not what it used to be. Get your own coffee and no breakfast after 11 am with a mediocre menu at best. It looks run down inside and the service was not great. read more

It was interesting. You walk down stairs inside to a dark dingy place. Self serve coffee station, menu a could barely see, and an occasional staff member check in. Hubs had biscuits and gravy. The sausage in the gravy had no flavor, literally none, like what is this? Also the bottom of the biscuits were burnt. I had the potato/bacon quiche. Definitely not bacon. So another mystery meat. It was also burnt on the top. So, is a no for us. Unfortunately, it's the only brunch place close. read more

Stumbled upon the outside seating at Mud Street Cafe. It's a really unassuming little outside area (basically in a parking lot) which was perfect for me as I had my dog.
