This place is casual and unpretentious but the food is unparalleled and the staff are excellent. We even went back for another breakfast on our last morning in Rapid City. Flew in late last night. We looked for a hole in the wall place and boy did we find one. This is a must stop if you are tired of the big chains. The owner is also the cook. It's a real deal place with real people. We had the "mud bog". It was great. The extra sausage patty sealed the deal. The gravy reminded me of what grandma made. Also the coffee isn't just Folgers coffee. I don't know what kind it was but it was tasty. Great service, great people. read more

I definitely recommend the Pearl Sugar Waffle. It's not overly sweet, and it has a great crunch on the outside but the inside is still fluffy. The bacon was terrific, not the paper thin stuff you get everywhere else. It was a thicker cut that actually had meat and flavor to it. read more

Oh boy where to start so many positive things to say. Located in the quainter part of downtown in Rapid City, SD is that Gem of a hole in the wall restaurant. I have been here a few times for breakfast, and never left without being 100% satisfied with the exceptional service and food. My favorite being a dish called the Mud Bog a delectable spin on the classic biscuits and gravy. Biscuit with egg and potato mixture add a sausage patty slather it in sausage gravy. Absolutely addicting. The staff is always super energetic and happy- giving this place a chill like you were family vibe.
