It started with the telltale 'thump-thump-thump-thump' sound of a tire that had a hex bolt - including washer - impaling one of the rear tires. After pulling over into a major truck stop that included 7 different flavors of cappuccinos, (but not a single sealing foam for tires!), I was about to give up when I spotted a couple of Mexican tow-truck drivers hanging-out outside. Since my tire was still fully inflated, they told me to drive down I-45 to this joint that was straight out a of Mexican 'Vulcanizadora' casting agency, but with better tires, cleaner facilities and great service. 14 minutes and $8 later, I was back on the road with a patched tire. ¡Viva Mexico! ~ land of practicality.
