Hey, I went to MTHI while on vacation and had two different Thai massages with two different practitioners. Pros: * The space is really nice and very clean and professional. * Each client has their own private room, which makes it feel more comfortable and private. * One hour is more than enough for a full treatment. Cons / Notes: * The massage style is NOT traditional Thai. Both times it felt much closer to deep tissue or even rolfing, not the stretching and rhythmic pressure you'd expect from Thai. * When I asked, the therapist explained they "have to do half-half," meaning they mix Thai with European deep tissue techniques. * If you want authentic Thai massage like in Thailand, you need to specifically ASK for a Thai therapist from Thailand and state clearly that you want traditional Thai. Overall: I'd give this place four stars as great environment and professional service, but important for customers to know the style is hybrid unless you request otherwise. read more

After 2 weeks of traveling around Spain, sleeping in bad postures on cheap hostel beds, sleeping while sitting in trains, carrying luggage through cobblestone, squeezing my traps while stressed driving in unfamiliar narrow city streets, I was in need of a massage. I first went to Hammam Al Andalus, but the massage was not deep/firm at all and I had difficulty communicating with the masseuse. At Mthai, the receptionist spoke English, and even accommodated my last minute request to switch to Thai style full body (from head neck shoulders) with the same gender. After moving to Madrid from San Francisco California, where the quality and expectations of massage are fairly high, I have to say that I've finally found the best place for massage (after many failed attempts) in Madrid. Immediately when you walk in, you experience this wonderful sense of calm. The place is tranquil, clean, bright and smells great. But this is a no nonsense massage spot, they do real treatment and have a whole body healing approach. I've had massages with 4 different therapists, including the owner Eduardo, and everybody was fantastic. So for the price, which is 25€ for an hour, you can't get better anywhere. I am so happy I found this place, and definitely recommend to anyone; if you're a resident here in Madrid of just passing though to experience some Spanish culture, and need a pick me up after sightseeing, this place is just a minute down the street from Tribunal Metro station. read more

I'm a massage therapist and I'm always excited to try massages in new places. I called ahead to book a couple days in advance and they had someone who spoke just enough English to help me easily. And she let me know they take cash only. When we arrived, the reception area was very relaxing and they have hot and cold water available. We had a couple's massage in a nice room. They give you loose clothing to change into. My bf who is newer to massage enjoyed his session and mine was good too. They spoke just enough English to check in with the pressure and ask about what is going on that might need extra attention. It was very relaxing and a great value at 25 euros/hr. And an additional 5 euros is customary for tipping. read more

Arrived at the front door, took our shoes off, checked in and waited about 5 mins for our therapists to call us back to our room. The Mrs got reflexology, I got traditional thai. We came on time for an hour massage and had to wait 20 minutes. Once we were finally called for the massage, it was a painful one, despite asking the masseuse to ease up on the pressure, which she ignored. After 40 minutes we were told our time was up as they needed the room for the next clients. When we asked why we were paying for an hour and received only 40 minutes the woman at the front desk said rather coldly " There's nothing I can do about it". Maybe 20 minutes less of pain was a good thing. Madrid has so few massage locations I guess thIs place can afford to give mediocre massages and bad customer service. I was very impressed with everything from start to finish with this establishment. We were on a vacation in Madrid and I was in need of a good massage to recharge after a long day of walking. I called to make an appointment and Mariano scheduled my appointment, he was very professional, kind and courteous. Claudia was my massage therapist and she was godsend. Her techniques were top notch and she was very highly skilled. Great spot for a massage. Definitely need to make a reservation beforehand. You have to take your shoes off before you go to check in. Cash only-waited a couple minutes in the reception area before we went in for our massages. My boyfriend and I both got reflexology massages for 25 euros each and we have brought friends to this place to take advantage of these great massages. read more

The first time I went here the massage was amazing. I felt rejuvenated afterwards. I think my masseuse was Abby (not positive on the name) and she applied the right amount of pressure. The second time the massage was not so great. It was with a short older blond lady and she just stepped on me most of the time and I knew in the first 5 minutes it was going to be a mediocre massage. It felt like she was just going through the motions. Plus I arrived early but waited for 15 minutes until my massage started, but my time wasn't prorated. I should have requested the same masseuse as before who gave me a great massage. The massage cost 25 euros for an hour so it's a pretty good deal. I'm still giving it 4 stars because the first massage was awesome and it's definitely worth a visit if you're in Madrid. read more

It's a proper Thai massage. Almost as good as the ones in Thailand. Price is unbeatable 25€/h. I would recommend call for appointment. Staff speaks English. It's very close to the metro station. The entrance is right next to their sign, a wooden gate. read more

The massages are great, unfortunately the reception staff are very difficult to communicate with either on the phone or by email. They've given me appointments that i've later found they didn't book, they've hung up on me when I asked if they spoke English. I've called and struggled with the receptionist in English, then agreed to email instead so it's easier - then been ignored again. read more
