Probably my favorite experience in Madrid. Although it is quite pricey I think it is worth it. We came here without booking online which I suggest you should do if you want a massage because we were only able to book The emerge sessions (only baths) for 90 minutes. I think this was more ham enough time for us to dip into 4 different temperature pools and a steam room. When we first enter the staff at the front desk gave us plastic bags that look like shower hats to put on our feet so we aren't walking into the spa with dirty shoes. Once we got in there is a changing room for women and men. The women locker room had all the essentials including combs, face wash, lotions, wipes, perfume, etc. Others have mention needing dollar euros to open the lockers but I think they may have changed this. The lockers were free of charge when I went. There were two kinds either one with a key or one using the number lock. Both super easy to use. Don't forget to bring a swimsuit, but they also have spare if you need one. I really enjoyed the hot bath and then going into the cold one. Its super dim inside the bath area and is only lit by candles. There is also calming music in the background and tea is offered. Overall a very relaxing experience and different from the types of spas I've been to.

Love love love love love! The United States has nothing like this and it was an experience of its own. I couldn't take any pictures inside of the Hammam, but let me tell you how beautiful it was. I left feeling like a new woman! The Hammam is located just off the square. When you arrive for your designated time, make sure you arrive early to give yourself time to check in. Because once your time starts, it ends with everybody else. Make sure you bring a change of clothes and a swimsuit. The rest is provided. After you check in the Hammam is explained to you, then men and women go into different dressing rooms and change into their swimsuits. Towels are provided, but they all look the same so make sure you keep track of where yours is at. Even so, it may disappear. Regardless, you can always get a new one from any of the staff nearby. The changing rooms have showers, hairdryers, and anything else you need to clean up. Before you go into the Hammam, you're required to rinse off. There are showers both in the changing room and downstairs in the spa area. I recommend starting with the steam room to open up your pores. Then you have the option to go into several different pools at different temperatures. There is freezing, cold, warm, and hot. It's so refreshing! There's also an area where you can go and drink hot tea and water. Massages are included, so when it's time for your massage someone will come get you so you can wait for the masseuse to be ready. The decor is like nothing else. You feel absolutely regal being in there and all of the entrances are curved arch Waze. It feels like you're going into little caves. It's not claustrophobic at all though. Lighting is dim and allows you to completely relax with the sound of water falling around you. If I had known how fantastic this was, I would've spent every day of my trip here. This Turkish Bath was my favorite part of Spain!

This was a fantastic experience - especially after traveling - highly recommend. Very soothing hit and cold water and really nice massage.

This was a great experience minus a few problems with them not really being able to communicate so well in English.

It was my second time coming and it wasn't as great as I remembered. Remember to bring single euro coins to lock up your locker.

Hey, I went to MTHI while on vacation and had two different Thai massages with two different…read morepractitioners. Pros: * The space is really nice and very clean and professional. * Each client has their own private room, which makes it feel more comfortable and private. * One hour is more than enough for a full treatment. Cons / Notes: * The massage style is NOT traditional Thai. Both times it felt much closer to deep tissue or even rolfing, not the stretching and rhythmic pressure you'd expect from Thai. * When I asked, the therapist explained they "have to do half-half," meaning they mix Thai with European deep tissue techniques. * If you want authentic Thai massage like in Thailand, you need to specifically ASK for a Thai therapist from Thailand and state clearly that you want traditional Thai. Overall: I'd give this place four stars as great environment and professional service, but important for customers to know the style is hybrid unless you request otherwise.

After 2 weeks of traveling around Spain, sleeping in bad postures on cheap hostel beds, sleeping…read morewhile sitting in trains, carrying luggage through cobblestone, squeezing my traps while stressed driving in unfamiliar narrow city streets, I was in need of a massage. I first went to Hammam Al Andalus, but the massage was not deep/firm at all and I had difficulty communicating with the masseuse. At Mthai, the receptionist spoke English, and even accommodated my last minute request to switch to Thai style full body (from head neck shoulders) with the same gender. Lucy did a fantastic massage and I was healed from all the damage of the trip. Thanks so much!!

We have a good view, we're on the 9th floor. The lobby bathroom is one floor down…read more Up to our bedroom . . .the lights are sensors, but the hallway is dark 'alley' style, but it lightens up as you approach. The rooms are hard to find, but after a day, you'll figure it all out. It's dark when you enter the room, you need to know where to stick the key in to light up your rooms. The switches to the rest of the room? You have to fumble in the dark, even using the cell phone light, there are none. I have to walk to the desk to find a light for our main room, which is to the other end of the room. The foods dinner we had was good. The 1st food I tasted, that I thought was an omelette actually was after putting a slice on my plate, I thought they were apple pie! I have to asked, but they looked sliced apples, but they were really sliced potatoes (like in au gratin?) sandwiched top to bottom with layers of friend eggs. They were cold, I was hoping warm @ least. Chicken, pork chops, sole (I would have liked that one!) Various raw fruits on a basket, can anyone eat hard kiwi, I haven't, but I picked the more ripened pear. Two types of soup: Beef broth and cream of chicken soup. Lots of selection. Our room was small, but we love the view! We asked for a wash cloth, trying to explain what I wanted. She gave me soap. We didn't have extra pillows, but I was afraid to go ask for one. Our pillows were huge meaning it was the same width as our bed. Two full size beds pushed together, with each own comforters. We have a bidette in our room. We're here for 2 nights. Even though we have negatives, I'm adding 2 stars for the GREAT VIEW of central Madrid.

I would never stay here again!…read more First, our room had one window, and it looked over the hallway. It was awkward not having a view of the outside. The worst part was that our room ended up losing electricity entirely! Only room on the floor with a problem. We stayed here two nights. The power kept flickering the first day. Then, during the second night, the power cut off around 5am. We had our alarms set for 7 for our flight, so we just went back to sleep. We got up at 7, called the desk, and asked them to flip the circuit breaker. She happily obliged. Then she knocked on the door and said that wasn't going to work. We'd have to get a new room! It was nice that they were willing to give us a new room, but we had to leave for our flight home that morning and finish packing in the dark. The whole thing was just a pain in the ass. I get the impression they knew this was coming. When we came back the first evening, house keeping had unplugged the phone chargers we had by our beds and turned the air off, which we didn't have set very low. Anything that could be unplugged was, and I've never had that happen in all my years of hotel visits. Oh, and they tell you that the mini bar is free when you check in. Don't get too excited! There are literally 2 pint size water bottles in there. That's it! What a charming choice of words for them to use. All of this happened in room 918, so be weary of you get that room!
