I was getting waxed regularly in the U.S., but I was very hesitant about finding a new waxer after hearing horror stories from other expats. When I couldn't take shaving anymore I went to see if there was anyone with good reviews from other non-Spanish speakers, and then I found Centro Eivissa's page. I was apprehensive about making an appointment because the price seemed too good to be true and I had never been waxed by a man before, but I was desperate to stop shaving so I made the call. I could not be happier with the results and Juan is absolutely AMAZING at what he does. Like I said, I had been shaving a lot so I expected the wax to be very painful, but it was less painful and gave me better results than any wax I ever had in the U.S.! I would recommend anyone who is a bit nervous like I was to give Juan a call, even if your Spanish isn't the best he will make you feel so comfortable and will give you a long lasting wax at one of the best price points in Madrid! Like others who have reviewed, I am living in Madrid, Spain for four months and needed to find a reliable and affordable waxing place. I was a bit nervous about finding a good waxer since I go for brazilians and this is obviously a sensitive area, but after reading all of the very positive reviews about Juan, I figured he was my best bet. I have to say this was hands down the BEST Brazilian wax I have ever received! Juan was completely professional, kind, and friendly and patiently practiced Spanish with me. The service was also the least painful and quickest Brazilian I have ever gotten BY FAR, and it was only twenty Euros! I am originally from Florida and am used to paying anywhere from $60-$80 for a wax so this was incredible to me! After leaving Juan's studio, I was truly saddened to think I will only be able to get a wax from him while I am here in Madrid, and not the rest of my life. Bottom line: go to Juan!!!! read more

I'm relatively new to Madrid and haven't gotten a Brazilian wax since I moved here. Juan was so nice! We spoke in Spanish the whole time which was good practice for me too. I agree with the other reviews - I was a bit apprehensive about going to see a guy but Juan was kind and attentive. I also agree that this wax wasn't as painful as ones I've had in the past (in the US). Checking the Yelp reviews was really helpful, so I decided to leave my own review as well. This place is amazing and everything the other girls already pointed out. I am an exchange student in Madrid, and even though I love the salon I go to back home, this was still a very pleasant experience. Juan is gentle, friendly and yet very professional. Juan is nothing short of incredible! I was super nervous to wax outside of the United States speaking a language that is not my first, but Juan is so kind and reassuring and made me feel so comfortable. I agree completely with almost all reviews. I am from the USA and frequented European Wax Center. I too was apprehensive to try a place here but Juan was wonderful. I am very basic in my Spanish speaking but he was kind and patient from making the appointment over the phone through the waxing process. The place is clean and cute. This is one of the best Brazilian wax experiences I have had. Juan is really good and accommodating, and because I was in Spain for several months, I ended up coming here multiple times.
