Omg these cabins are the cutest thing ever! I will preface this review by saying that I did not do the booking or pick it out, I was just invited along. But boy am I glad I was, This was the perfect weekend getaway! We had four people in our cabin. There was a queen bed and a bunkbed situation with a queen bed on the bottom. I think they are all situated a little differently. We saw someone else's cabin that had a queen bed and a couch with a pullout option. But both of the cabins I saw had a great kitchenette area with a full fridge stove microwave/ sink / lots of cabinet space/ basic necessities for dishware and such. We had a great bathroom with a nice shower, two sinks and a toilet space( with its own door, very important lol) . We had a charming front porch with several seat seats and a little table. I will say that the parking seems first come first serve (so no assigned spots) whether you park behind the cabin or on the street in front of it, but I never had a problem getting a parking spot. The electronic lock was easy to use. There was a binder with all relevant information. We had a TV and I think the best thing was a little electric fireplace that we could sleep with at night that had a nice glow coming from it. It looks like each of the unit units is also equipped with a ceiling fan and a midi split AC unit. I would definitely recommend these for groups of people, families or even a couple just looking to get away from the heat of Tucson. Very charming little getaway , easy to walk to other things in town located basically in the center of it all. 10 out of 10 would stay here again on my next trip to Mount Lemmon. A great addition to the mountain.

Both the exterior and interior portions of the cabin was perfect! The room was so cozy and it had a plethora of amenities! The surrounding town area is quaint but has a surprising amount of activities to do. This was our first stay at the Mt Lemmon Hotel and it definitely won't be our last!

The cabins are super cute. There are a few things I am going to critique. It was not very clean. The bathroom vanity was dirty upon arrival and had hair stuck on it. Some of the dishes were not clean. There was a green plastic mixing bowl that had an oil residue left over inside. I didn't use it. The cookie sheets were heavily coated with oil as if never washed. I didn't use because they were aluminum so I didn't even bother to use those. The pots and pans were teflon and the coating was peeling off. Avoided those too! The handles were broken. The plastic serving spoon was melted by someone and had bubbles from being melted from the heat. There was food stuck in the container that the utensils were in. There was no prepping utensil, ie peelers or prepping knives that could cut a carrot. The knives were a joke! I almost cut my finger off trying to prepare dinner because they were so dull and could not even cut a tiny red potato in 1/4 pieces. Luckily there was a glass baking dish we used to cook with. We could not use the tv for over 24hrs until someone brought us batteries. The remote was dead. No one was available that evening when we checked in. We didn't even use the drinking glasses because they looked so nasty! I tried to wash two so we could but it didn't help. We just used our travel mugs. I pre-washed the dishes prior to using them. The one cutting board is a mess and needs replaced. IMO replace it with a wooden cutting board. Not plastic! When we cleaned out the refrigerator I took the crisper drawer out and there was a ton of water sitting under the drawer. I know it wasn't from us, it was a lot of water! It took two towels to dry soak it up. Also put food froze in the fridge and it wasn't even on a cold temperature it was set on a normal refrigerator temperature. Something is just wrong with it would be our guess. The lighting - the canned lights need to be on a dimmer!!!! When you're sitting in bed reading or watching a show and your husband/wife/significant other goes into the "kitchen" and turns any lights on you're blinded! Put a dimmer on the lights. Wouldn't take much to throw a dimmer on those lights. The broom was for the size of a 2yo and looked like it was from the dollar store. No wonder the floors felt dirty. I could feel dirt on the floor, glad I brought my slippers. I'm a barefoot walker but couldn't hear. My feet got so dirty! There was only one table on one side in the bed. Upgrade the door locks. Our door kept jamming. Thankfully someone reset the code from what it originally was set to. The doggie area; Its all rock. Throw some artificial grass down for the dogs so they can go there and lay and sit in the area. It would be less maintenance than what's there, it's all weeds and rocks! We are spending money to have a dog friendly place to stay with our furbabies why can't they have a nice place to chill? They can't lay on the deck because there are no gates to keep them up on the patio. The cabin numbers are on the inside of the patio. So many people walking by would ask us how they can tell what cabin number each one is because they are looking for someone. Whose idea was this to not put the cabin number visible to the street?? I know there's a map but not everyone has access to it. Put the numbers on the pole facing the street not facing the door. Not everything is open on Monday a Tuesdays. Didn't know this. The coffee cabin was not open until after 11am we walked over at 7 & 8 and they were not open. So if you're planning to rent a cabin here's what to do. Bring your own things; Paper plates Utensils Cooking utensils Hand soap Cutting board Knives Baking dish Pots & pans Silverware (the ones there ) Being parchment paper to line their cookie sheet if you plan to cook dinners Bring disinfectant wipes So basically I wish I had packed like I do when I go camping. Other than those things we still enjoyed ourselves. We did notice place are not open on Monday and Tuesday according to a worker in another place. Don't plan to go anywhere at night there isn't anyplace. The only restaurant up there closes at 4pm! What a joke! So I guess that is all.

Near the summit of Mt. Lemmon Temp is 25° less than in Tucson, wow what a plus in the heat of summer.

Bertha left a sweet birthday card on our bed, and Sherry in the gift shop was so much fun to talk to! 2- We had only visited the bottom of the lodge 4-5 times. This was our first overnight stay. The suite on the 3rd floor was so beautiful with lots of touches to make it feel like home. Kudos to the owner, Diane Osborne, for her talent as an architect and designer. The details show her labor of love. This is not a "chain" hotel. 3- We had a few items in our room that were not cleaned, hair in the shower drain and false eyelashes left stuck on a bedside lamp. Kind of gross. However, Diane came up to our room quickly and first offered to switch us to an upscale suite. We had settled in and did not want to move our bags and food, etc to another room. Then she graciously offered to comp the room. 4-There were numerous apologies from Ken at the front desk, Diane and her husband John. We had the pleasure of talking to both of the owners and learn about their connection to the mountain going back 3 generations! Ask them about their history! 5-I highly recommend booking a stay here. Bring some of your own food or enjoy Beyond Bread, The Cookie Cabin (pizza), The Sawmill restaurant or the Iron Door restaurant on certain days. We will be back! Thank you John and Diane! Eric and Connie Nelson PS- take the stairs at least 1 time to see the beautiful photos throughout the stairwell. Such a nice surprise!

We booked two nights over the weekend, as a snow was in the forecast. We stayed in one of the…read moresuites, which was plenty roomy and furnished with a full size oven microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. Due to the last minute nature of our booking, I didn't really plan to cook there, but if one wanted to, the suites are set-up well for it. We packed easy foods like sanwich stuff and snacks, but if I stayed there again, I'd likely prep some dishes at home that I could reheat in the over. The room also is stked with a pots, pans, and a handful of dishes, mugs, silverware. Soap and a clean sponge as well. I was pleased to find the room to be quite clean and the fridge too. The plateware/mugs are from HF Coors, which is a nice local touch! The suite also has a nice patio with a table and a firepit. It also has direct access to the sauna. The lodge is cozy and everyone we encountered, including the owners were very friendly and accomodating. As others have noted, Beyond Bread is located inside the lodge. Those reviews really should be posted on a separate page for Beyond Bread, but that is the only food option in the lodge. We did not eat there during our stay, but we peaked in and the space is large with plenty of seating, a large TV, and games. The lodge also offers covered patio seating with additional firepits, and foosball. With so much seating , I feel like the lodge is missing out on generating additional business. It seems like people just pop in and sit around. It would really make this place even better if they had a bar so guests can enjoy a cocktail or beverage on the patio and enjoy the live piano music. I value cleanliness and excellent customer service and the lodge delivered on both. When we booked, the room description listed ROKU as one of the amenities. Which I thought was great because we figured with the weather conditions, we might have some movie nights. When we arrived, we found that the room did not have a Roku, we called the front desk to inquire, and it turns out that the hotel actually doesn't equip the rooms with Roku, but the owner took responsibility for the misinformation on their site and ended up getting one for us in Tucson. I was impressed by this gesture for sure. We'd stay here again!

The desert hills in the area are incredibly beautiful, and since the ranch is 100 acres, it feels almost completely undeveloped while you're staying there. I stayed in the Manzanita room and found everything very comfortable and spacious. Finally, the owner is very warm and friendly. She made me breakfast just how I wanted it, gave me aloe for my race-induced blisters, and was generally wonderful company for the relatively little time I spent out in the living room. What a find! Historic cabins on an art ranch - so different from the usual sterile hotel…read moreenvironment, but with artistic and modern comfort! It's a unique way to fill your soul with the beauty of the high desert and uplifting art. It combines stand-alone cabins from another era with an adjacent outdoor sculpture park and art gallery - one of a kind accommodations with a one of a kind experience. We stayed in the bunkhouse and the cabin on our recent girls' trip. You might wonder if you made the right choice when you turn onto the dirt road to the ranch, but this is the true old west without paved roads. Funny how much your heart responds to leaving asphalt behind! I stayed in the original ranch bunkhouse built of adobe mud in the 1880's, restored now with modern comforts. The Old West vibe is still there but so is air conditioning, a comfy king-sized bed, small kitchen, and, of course, plumbing. Also present is the all-important WIFI. The bedside lamps even have USB ports to charge your phones while you sleep. It hits just the right balance of old, quaint, artistic and unobtrusively modern. There's a small couch, rocking chair, and large screened-in porch and more. I don't know how the original occupants kept it, but it was immaculate (this aspect earned high marks by us all). We were busy on this trip supporting our runner in an ultramarathon up nearby Mount Lemmon so we didn't get to enjoy all the many special touches as much as we wanted to such as the many outdoor cozy seating spots under trees. We also wish we'd had time to get to know my neighbors behind the bunkhouse - a couple of quiet but curious goats. Throughout our stay, we didn't hear them nor anyone else staying there. It was like having our own little getaway in the high desert. The Triangle L is also an Art Ranch. The Sculpture Park alone is not to be missed! It would be worth the trip in itself and made a big impression on us even though we did not have time to explore it all. Some sculptures even have special night lighting. You could spend hours here appreciating it as you walk along its path, which lends its own sculptures of uniquely-shaped, high desert cacti. If interested , we recommend checking out the web site for a preview and look for the many special events. They just opened up a "Metal" exhibit in the old adobe barn converted into an Art Gallery and Gift Shop. The Triangle L is located in Oracle - a small town that we found to be full of traditional small town friendliness from its unique restaurants to its shops selling their own art and jewelry pieces. We learned why the new looking Nonna Maria's has been in business for 25+ years - their marinara and pizza are outstanding. I had a great turkey and avocado croissant sandwich at the Patio Cafe and their adjacent Market sells all kinds of baked goods, including more types of pies than I've ever seen before. We enjoyed breakfast at Casa Rivera's but we ran out of time before we got to try the Riot Grill, which we'd also heard good things about. Most restaurants here are owner-operated so be sure to check their hours before going. Oracle is about 2 hours from Phoenix and only 1 hour from Tucson. It sits in the high desert so offers somewhat cooler weather than both of them. There are many nearby trails for hiking besides those our runner was doing in the Desert Peak Ultramarathon event, including those in Oracle State Park. There is also access to the Arizona National Scenic Trail (AZT). We met lots of cyclists as well. In between supporting our runner at the aid stations, I also made a trip to the nearby Biosphere 2. It is also worth a trip. It was created as a completely sealed off ecological system to test out what would be needed to build independent self-contained stations capable of life for future space colonization. In the 90's, 8 scientists were sealed in it along with various plants and animals for 2 years. Now, it functions as an ecological research station. The scope is amazing. For instance, I walked through its rainforest, complete with waterfall and tall tree canopy and even saw its small ocean. So much technology is needed to support it - we have much to learn before space life is possible. The tour is self-guided by well-done videos through an app but there are three additional guided tours. Note: there are some parts that can only be accessed by stairs. OK, I got a little carried away with this review of the Triangle L Ranch. The Triangle L Ranch and Art Ranch seems to be a well-kept secret that I just didn't want people to miss. It and the surrounding area really struck a chord with us. Also, our hostess (and resident artist) went above and beyond for us, accommodating our changing reservations and our late arrival with an inventive sign to help point us to our cabins. We certainly hope we get to meet her sometime as we definitely hope to come back - if it isn't booked for years in advance once the word gets out.

A first glance this hotel looks so modern and new that I would be giving it five stars. Plus, the employees I interacted were so nice and helpful. I get into my room, everything looks fine. Then I get ready to take a shower and I notice a soaking wet wash rag (pictured with my review) sitting on the shower nob. That definitely made me question if the shower was cleaned. Then I saw long strands of black hair and I was pretty sure it wasn't. I probably should have asked to switch rooms but I was exhausted and feeling under the weather and didn't feel like dealing with it. Something else I noticed was that this hotel uses specialized sensors to detect vaping in rooms. I think this is great and shows care for their staff. However, I read a review where a woman claimed that blowdrying her hair led to a false positive result for vaping and she was charged $500. This made me paranoid because since I was sick, I decided it was best to not fall asleep With damp hair, so I hesitantly used the hotel provided dryer. Lastly, having something this high tech would lead me to believe that they are tech forward but they are not. There was no available outlet by my beds.
