Communication was reactive rather than proactive, and much of the time we had to chase updates or check the probate court docket ourselves. As first-time buyers, we needed more guidance and reassurance than we received. We also had issues with her paralegal, Stacey, who sent us an extremely rude and dismissive email that turned out to be wrong. This contributed to more preventable delays and costs, and Keira never addressed it with us. Keira's tone was often blunt, dismissive, and at times rude. For example, when my husband (who is an attorney but not a real estate attorney) asked her for her professional estimate based on her experience, she responded: "You're an attorney, you know that the court is unpredictable." That kind of remark was passive-aggressive and unhelpful, and it set the tone for much of our relationship with her. We also repeatedly asked her to communicate with us more proactively, but nothing ever changed. At closing, she asked us to sign two optional items we had opted out of earlier in the process. She said she needed to "check" to make sure we weren't being charged for them in the closing costs. I had already confirmed we weren't, and this is something her office should have caught when reviewing the final numbers. Instead, it created more unnecessary confusion at the table. Keira's style of communication made an already stressful process much harder than it needed to be. We would not recommend her for probate-related real estate transactions, especially for first-time buyers who need clear, proactive guidance. Edit: I have gone back and updated my review. After posting this review, the managing partner, Peter Kajko, personally reached out to us. He was kind, heartfelt, and genuinely listened to our concerns. He acknowledged our frustrations, explained the firm's perspective, and took the time to make sure we felt heard. While our experience with Keira was disappointing, we truly appreciated Peter's professionalism and sincerity in addressing the situation.

She was absolutely fantastic, walking me through all of the complexities of the purchase. I have used her three times since then for real estate transactions, and she has never left me feeling confused or looked down on. She held my hands through panic (most memorably, the bats we found in my home a week before close and were told we could not legally evict for months!). Cynthia and her support team at the firm have always felt completely in my corner, responsive to my needs and questions, and respectful of me as a client. I would absolutely use them again.

We hired attorney Nicole Torres during what became an incredibly stressful real estate transaction. We were facing serious inspection concerns, including extremely high radon levels, and were desperately trying to understand our rights and protect nearly $40,000 deposit being held of our hard-earned money. Instead of feeling reassured and guided through the process, we felt increasingly anxious and confused. We repeatedly asked questions because we were genuinely scared of making the wrong decision and losing our deposit. Rather than feeling like we had an advocate in our corner, we often felt dismissed when we questioned the advice we were being given. We were advised that our inspection contingency had expired (we later learned it had not) and that our deposit could be at risk if we did not continue moving forward. We were also led to believe that the radon issues did not give us grounds to terminate the contract as it was "not part of the inspection process" and that we had signed a contract "for inspection only". As buyers trying to navigate a complicated situation, we relied heavily on her advice and guidance. What was most disappointing was that when we expressed concerns or asked follow-up questions, we did not feel heard. The conversations often left us feeling more intimidated than informed. Eventually, our discomfort became so significant that we sought alternate legal counsel because we no longer felt confident that our interests were being fully protected. The second opinion we received gave us a very different understanding of our contractual rights and deadlines, including the ability to terminate the contract and get our deposit back, which proved that the advice we received from her was not accurate and would have cost us $40,000!!!

I truly have no words for the service we got (but also I won't shut up about it bc if I can save someone else the hassle, I will). We hired a CPA this year bc of some issues with our state tax withholding due to moving across states. 1) From the get go, I felt funny about them because I knew there were certain info that would be needed (but they didn't take it even when I offered). Due to a HR mishap with my job, my state taxes were taken from NY (and not from MA). They never asked for more specific info (pay stubs for example) to rectify the taxes. I repeatedly asked the person assigned to us to reiterate the issue to us so that we knew she understood what needed to be fixed, and she couldn't. But they have such good reviews, so I should trust the right?! 2) Due to the move, my husband had two W-2's- one from NY and one from MA. We accidentally forgot to upload the NY W-2 (that's on us). BUT instead of asking for it, they counted the MA W-2 for NY as well. The outcome was that we now owe thousands in taxes due to the income being counted twice! 3) AND FOR THE CHERRY ON TOP- THEY FILED WITHOUT OUR CONSENT. The wrong version, where we owe thousands. And then didn't tell us. We only found out bc we got a letter from the IRS. And then they took their sweet time responding to us about amending, not that we trust them to even do the amendment correctly. And when we requested a refund, they refused and instead offered money off our next service- AS IF. We had to file fraud via our credit card and point out that what they did was ILLEGAL to get our money back.
