Got my refund for 2025 through Dimov. They are responsive to your messages, I would recommend the service.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. First of all, this address is wrong- they DO NOT have an office in Boston. Secondly, DO NOT TRUST THEM. I truly have no words for the service we got (but also I won't shut up about it bc if I can save someone else the hassle, I will). We hired a CPA this year bc of some issues with our state tax withholding due to moving across states. 1) From the get go, I felt funny about them because I knew there were certain info that would be needed (but they didn't take it even when I offered). Due to a HR mishap with my job, my state taxes were taken from NY (and not from MA). They never asked for more specific info (pay stubs for example) to rectify the taxes. I repeatedly asked the person assigned to us to reiterate the issue to us so that we knew she understood what needed to be fixed, and she couldn't. But they have such good reviews, so I should trust the right?! 2) Due to the move, my husband had two W-2's- one from NY and one from MA. We accidentally forgot to upload the NY W-2 (that's on us). BUT instead of asking for it, they counted the MA W-2 for NY as well. The outcome was that we now owe thousands in taxes due to the income being counted twice! 3) AND FOR THE CHERRY ON TOP- THEY FILED WITHOUT OUR CONSENT. The wrong version, where we owe thousands. And then didn't tell us. We only found out bc we got a letter from the IRS. And then they took their sweet time responding to us about amending, not that we trust them to even do the amendment correctly. And when we requested a refund, they refused and instead offered money off our next service- AS IF. We had to file fraud via our credit card and point out that what they did was ILLEGAL to get our money back. read more

It took longer than I expected, however my needs were to amend existing returns which I made a mess of using TuboTax and I appreciate the thoroughness and quality of the work. read more

If I could give NEGATIVE stars, I would. Working with Dimov was one of the most stressful and disappointing experiences I ever had as an adult. I first connected with them through a personal connection and expected everything to go smoothly. For context, I've always done my own taxes without issues, but this year we have across state taxes so it's a bit more complicated and we decided to bite the bullet and use a tax professional. Dimov was initially very responsive and seemed exceptionally professional. HOWEVER, that turned 180 degrees as soon as we paid the fees and signed the contract. It was incredibly difficult to get a hold of anyone. They initially promised use that our taxes would be done before the 4/15 deadline. And then it's RADIO-SILENCE until 4/15. Even though I emailed them almost weekly since mid-March asking for an update. Absolutely NO RESPONSE. And then on 4/15, after we desperately called multiple times, someone responded and told us that there's been a delay and they have already filed for a tax extension for us. The entire day was extremely stressful for us as we were at work and worried about our taxes being late. Then, you would expect things to get better, but no. I continued to email them for updates almost weekly, and it's essentially radio-silent until mid-June, when they presented us with a draft return. The draft returns did not spell my name correctly and had several obvious typos. After the returns were filled, we eventually received a penalty for health insurance coverage in one of the states. We realized it's because we only provided proof for 6 months out of the year to Dimov. But since we are hiring a supposed "professional", I don't think it's unreasonable to expect them to remind us, "hey, you only provided 6-months of insurance proof, this will invoke a penalty. Do you have proof for the rest of the year?" Nope, nothing like that. They just let us take a penalty. If you expect timely service, Dimov will NOT provide it. If you expect professional responses, Dimov will be radio-silent. If you expect to save money, Dimov does not care. Please avoid this service at all cost. You're better off doing your own taxes than spending money on them. You will probably end up more stress, spend more time, and get less refunds. AVOID AT ALL COST! read more

I paid for a consultation with Dimov Tax Associates on how to handle an injury settlement. They claimed they had expertise in this area. It was clear they did not - they were expecting a breakdown of the settlement as is done in the case of court-ordered payments, as opposed to a lump sum, which is how out-of-court settlements are typically structured, to my understanding (since any breakdown would be arbitrary, and there's no incentive not to just claim it's all for pain and suffering, or whatnot). They provided no useful information and still charged me. I can't say anything about how they handle more common cases, but I would not recommend them for anything out of the ordinary, at least. Also, they started sending me nearly daily spams about paying them to do tax returns. Unsubscribing wasn't hard, but getting daily messages about it was absurd. Never been spammed so aggressively before by a company I did business with. Edit: As you see in the response, they're still complaining about not having enough information. It was a lump sum - one big chunk of money for everything, with no agreed upon breakdown. I also sent them the list of costs I sent during negotiations, which was the only breakdown that existed, and they still want information about the actual settlement breakdown that does not actually exist in the case of lump sum payments. read more

I've been with Dimov associates for my tax since 2021 when I first move to MA. And I ALWAYS pre-book my spot for next year right after the current year tax got filed. They do preparation as earlier as they could (December/January) and then re-assess with additional information comes in. They respond e-mail FAST and I am confidence I've been take good care of with my tax. This is definitely one of the expense that I spent wisely and will do it again and again!!!!!! STAY AWAY -- Disorganized, careless, and zero accountability Be very careful with this firm. It operates like a high-volume churn machine--aggressively markets to bring clients in, then delivers poor, error-prone service once you've paid. I started using them during the pandemic (2021 tax year). At first, the experience was mediocre but tolerable--some mistakes and glitches, but nothing catastrophic. Unfortunately, I stayed with them, and each year the quality declined. By the 2025 tax return, the service had become completely unacceptable. Their team relies almost entirely on email, yet they seem incapable of tracking or retaining basic client information. I had to provide the same details repeatedly because the CPA handling our return could not keep track of prior communications. There is no sense of continuity or ownership. The most concerning issue: they filed an extension without sharing estimated calculations for review, and in doing so, failed to include estimated tax payments we had already made. This resulted in a significantly inflated tax liability on the extension filing. It then took two weeks of back-and-forth and three separate drafts for them to even understand and correct the issue. At no point did they demonstrate a firm grasp of the situation. I now have legitimate concerns about the accuracy of the final return and potential audit risk. When I raised these issues, the CPA was defensive and unwilling to take responsibility--even for basic oversights that should never happen at a professional firm. To make matters worse, due to their incorrect state extension filing, Massachusetts withdrew duplicate tax payments directly from our checking account. Even after I provided clear documentation showing this was caused by their error, they deflected responsibility and implied it was our fault. There was no apology and no effort to make things right. Overall, this experience reflects a lack of organization, quality control, and professional accountability. I would strongly recommend avoiding this firm if you value accuracy, communication, and basic competence in handling your taxes. read more
