I'm going 4 stars here sushi fans. While the seats in the booths are completely uncomfortable, seats backs hit me in the shoulders I'm 5 10! The food however made up for the bad booth. Next time I sit at one of the tables. I can't claim to be a sushi snob, but I do like my sushi to taste like what the menu says and this place hit right on the head!! First I had my first ever Prime Rib roll. OK not really sushi since it was cooked, but it was wrapped with scallion and covered with a sesame sauce that was pretty good. Next came the CRAB NEST roll. Now if you're from MD or just know good seafood this is out of this world. They take a lightly tempuraed soft crab, wrap with some stuff(I didn't really pay attention to the stuffing) topped with white fish, tuna and salmon. Drizzled with a white sauce. This was so good we ordered 3 more and just stuffed ourselves! The service was confusing but everything came on time and you never had to chase down a server. I think we had 3 different guys, but hey whatever works. There are some other places in town that could take lessons on service. The "dessert" as I called was their TNT roll. Tuna, Salmon, White fish, avocado wrapped in rice and seaweed, lightly tempured and served with the spicy sauce on top. This roll must of been 2 inches across. First time I ever had to take TWO bites to eat a piece. I'm looking forward to my trip back to Carlisle. This place is on my list for dinner, did I mention they also serve Soft Crabs by themselves as well.... What can I say I live by the bay and eat seafood like it's going out of style!! Enjoy yourself, just sit at a table! Oh yeah just one more thing, as for parking, it's a Carlisle thing. The only real place to park is Pomfret Street Parking Garage. Great little Japanese restaurant in Carlisle, if I'm not mistaken this is the sister restaurant of Miyako in Harrisburg. At any rate, the food here is pretty good, and the prices are pretty decent. I tried the bento box for lunch and was satisfied with the roll, tempura, and the chicken. read more

Tried the AYCE option for 18.95 (only Sunday's). First time I've had AYCE where ONLY sushi rolls were offered, but they offered quite a number of them. I can say the quality of the food is no where near as good as the last time I ate there (4 years ago about), but it wasn't terrible. However, if the waitress told me one more freaking time that I would be charged if I didn't finish every piece, I would have flipped. She told me and my dining companion at the beginning of the meal and I ate every piece,So I don't understand why she had to reiterate it (in a rather nasty tone) both times I reordered, especially since I was only ordering a roll and a half (the second roll I got is their smallest with only 5 pieces, the once delicious-now mediocre-jungle roll) each time so I WOULDN'T waste anything. The attitude was completely unnecessary and pretty much ruined the meal. read more

We were at an event in Carlisle and were talking to an out-of-town guest (professor / coach / medical doctor / author) who mentioned he and his wife loved sushi and had eaten it all over the world. They mentioned Mt. Fuji, which was near their hotel. They had stopped in and were surprised by the low prices, but decided to "risk" it anyway. They said it was the best sushi they've had on the east coast! After the event, we decided to check it out. I am embarrassed to say we live only a few miles away and had never given this place a chance. We were stunned with the high quality -- delicious! The good doctor was absolutely right! This place is a staple of my childhood, year after year I stayed so loyal to this place and their amazingly friendly staff. I am assuming that there is new management because I don't recognize a single staff member there. This new crowd is some of the rudest people I have come across in the service industry. They clearly don't care about delivering good service and even just placing a to-go order seems to anger them to no end. I really am so disappointed to see my favorite establishment in Carlisle turn so rotten. 3 starts because the sushi is still great, but I guess I just have to find a new place next time :( Please do better Mt. I simply got the sashimi take-out, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the delicious fish. Waitress could have been more personable, and the parking options weren't great. Just awful. Had the steak hibachi last night. Made me sick within half an hour. There was no seasoning in the food. It was just plain steak which looked boiled and "fried" rice. Eh. It was just OK, and overpriced for what it was. We stopped here on our way home on the last leg of a road trip. My brother got "hibachi chicken" which was literally just pieces of chewy cooked chicken served on a plate with a dipping sauce - it was $14. Why? My boyfriend got beef udon noodle soup, the broth was OK but the meat was really bland. I got the Maki sushi combo, which was pretty good but still not the best sushi I've had. That being said, the restaurant was clean and the staff was really pleasant. It's a shame the food really fell flat. read more

Absolutely, hands down, best sushi in Central PA. Huge variety, helpful employees, and low prices. Every roll is perfectly made and unique. Only bad part about this place is that their music track is Christmas music all year...I think maybe they just haven't caught on yet. But the last 4 times I've been there "Silent Night" was playing. I would highly recommend the tuna bowl and the Godzilla, Valentine, and Samurai rolls. read more

Found this place while driving through this lovely little town thanks to Yelp! note- we had the cooked dishes only. But the sushi rolls served in front of us looked absolutely delicious! Perhaps should have gone with that. The chicken teriyaki lunch special was cheap at under 8 bucks and chicken was moist and tender. Could have had more kick to the sauce. Rice was good. But the salad was wilted iceberg floating in water- so much water that the ginger dressing didn't have much taste! read more

This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in the area. If it's my turn to pick a restaurant, I pick this one. It is small, and not overly fancy but the food is all that matters. I have never had bad sushi here! I usually order tako su (sliced octopus with ponzu sauce) as an appetizer. Tender as far as chilled octopus can be, and very delicious. Most entree meals come with the standard green salad with ginger dressing and miso soup. I usually order the unadon (broiled eel with smokey sweet sauce over a bed of white rice) as my entree. It is served an a neato Japanese dinner box, and the portion is just right. My boyfriend usually orders the negimaki as his entree, which is served still sizzling. He loves it and rates it higher than Aki's (Chambersburg) and Meilin's House (Shippensburg). Soft drinks are served in the bottle but they provide a cup and ice as well. I like this because you can take the rest home with you. Green tea is a good choice of beverage, however. The servers are very polite and check on you often. It's never crowded and it's usually pretty quiet. I love this place so much. I will continue coming here as long as I can! read more

We just moved to the area and have been searching for a decent sushi restaurant. after reading reviews and see they had 50% off rolls we decided to try this place out. The sushi was defiantly fresh and very delicious. I would say the only complaint I have is that the fish was pretty warm (almost room temp it seemed like). Maybe it was just a one off scenario being that this place has such great reviews... We will have to try it again in the future. Maybe then I can update this to 5 stars. We shall see read more

I just moved to PA a few months ago. My favorite cuisine is definitely Japanese especially sushi. I was worried there was no good places to eat. Don't get the "hibachi". This restaurant doesn't have a hibachi grill but serves "hibachi". The prices are the same as a regular hibachi grill minus the entertainment and taste. Paid $20.95 for shrimp and chicken + $1 for "fried rice". I got a sizzling plate of majority vegetables that were cut too big. Small amount of chicken. Good amount of shrimp. But they left the skins on the shrimp tails for some reason? So as you picked through your mountain of vegetables. You found a shrimp and had to pull the tail off. Drinks were bottled and you pour them into a glass. For 2 people who got the same thing for lunch the bill was $50.95. Had the food been good wouldn't of had an issue. Side not the restaurant seems dated but clean. Bathrooms were clean. read more

Best sushi in the area. Fish always tastes very fresh and their rice is cooked perfectly. Eliminating one star because we placed a to go order and they forgot a roll and by the time we got home and realized it we were too far to go back and get it. (confident this is human error though and just an honest mistake!) Rainbow roll is our favorite but their flamingo roll was great. For a few dollars add the yellowtail and avocado roll and it is a great addition to your meal. read more

The food is 5 stars. Love their sushi. But the staff are often very rude. Frequently staring and giving us dirty looks. One waitress leaned against the wall, arms crossed, just staring at us in disapproval while we ate. We weren't loud, we were polite, we tipped well. Thought at first it was just a bad day. After the 3rd time, we just order take out now, and only in desperation for sushi. Eating in? 2-3 starts. Ordering out? 5 stars. My husband and I love this place. We haven't found better sushi in Camp Hill or Mechanicsburg, so we're happy to stick closer to home and regularly visit Mt. Fuji. We always order Spicy Kani Bowls for appetizers -- they're amazing, and most sushi restaurants don't offer this item. Everyone we bring here has to try the Spicy Kani Bowl, and we haven't had one person not love it! The sashimi is great (white tuna is always my favorite), and the Valentine roll (eel and avocado with tempura shrimp) is delicious. We highly recommend Mt. Fuji! read more

After driving past this sushi restaurant on a weekly basis, I decided to give it a try. I went to eat here yesterday 4/14/16. What really attracted me was their all you can eat sushi for $20. Upon entering the restaurant I was immediately greeted and attended to, which was nice. Not long after receiving my drink the waiter came and asked if I was ready to order. I mentioned that I wanted to try their all you can eat sushi and that I'd be sharing it with my Son. It quickly went down hill from there. After ordering, I was told that the rule for the sushi special was that I wasn't allowed to share. Wait. What? Without hesitation my response was, "are you serious?". A) I understand that restaurants have their policies but, B) the second I informed you about my choice, you should have told me about the "rules" and not have done so after the fact. He proceeded to tell me that he was sorry and that the rules were the rules. I then asked him if he expected me to eat in front of my Son and all the while not give him a bite to eat, since I am not allowed to share. The waiter then suggested that I should order my Son an entirely separate roll. For what? Mind you, my Son is only three! All he is going to do is eat two maybe three, and the rest would go to waste. After that whole ordeal, I cancelled the all you can eat special and told the waiter that I would pay full price for whatever I ate. I ended up ordering two rolls. They were pretty good, it wasn't anything spectacular. Honestly, I am at a loss for words and disappointed in this restaurant. I will NOT be returning! read more

I have eaten at all the sushi restaurants in the general east/west shore areas and Fuji reigns supreme. My husband and I are totally addicted to Jungle Rolls and their white tuna sushi/sashimi. He and I have eaten in sushi places all over the country as well and we always feel a little disappointed. We always have great servers and they are always very attentive. I have many friends who agree, Fuji is certainly a contender for #1 in central PA. read more

The kani salad is amazing, the chirashi is several excellent cuts of fish over flavorful rice, I can't say enough good things about Mt. Fuji. This place was horrible. Went there last night for dinner. The sushi was warm, the Cali roll didn't have what it was suppose to have in it. And my friends had hair in hers. When we told the lady she said oh our hair is black. That's not black you still have to pay. The hair was mixed into the rice part of it and mashed in. It definitely wasn't one of ours. It's probably more like a 3.5 but I will round up. But when we talk about going for sushi, it's actually not the first one that comes to mind, and we are willing to drive somewhere else. In a pinch it's good though. They take reservations so if you have a larger group, that's nice. Service is always very very good, and staff is courteous. I think their pricing is a little more than some of the others in the area. Our bill comparably always seems much higher. I am not a fan of their teriyaki dishes. Their noodle dishes are good, and I do like their hibachi. The green mussels are very interesting as an appetizer and worth a nod. Our kids are unfortunately sushi fans so we seem to order a lot and everything is always ready in its entirety. AT LEAST Carlisle does have a sushi place and they do have Monday hours, as a lot of places seem to be closed on MOndays here. read more

This place is great! I highly recommend the mt Fuji roll it is a little fried fyi) my boyfriend and I came in at 1040 and they stayed open for us and called back the Chef's to make us our rolls, they close and stop Shervin around 1030. The waiter and waitress were extremely nice and hospitable. Coming the New York area places wouldn't stay open for just two customers. Oh and by the way it's byob so grab some wine and beers and have yourself a great night. read more
