I brought my dress that was too small for a reference because it was just too small in my breast area. I also brought in the dress that I'm wearing to the wedding that is one size up. That's absolutely too big on me. It's a corset top dress from house of CB. I brought the smaller one as a reference, thinking it would help them. Because I requested to try that on for the woman who is tailoring the dress so she could see how it's supposed to fit... but the owner threw a tantrum and told me he would not do it. I never was treated so terribly by anyone in any establishment like this before. He snapped and threw a tantrum because I wanted to show the woman tailoring the dress. What a psychotic control freak. My sister gets all her items tailored there. She's a dancer. I walked in and was shocked how filthy that place was. I'm stunned this place has any stars. The fact the women on the phone told me to come in and they would do it same day is crazy. It took me a hour to get there they literally not only wasted my time but the man was an absolute nightmare rude control freak. I never had such a terrible experience ANYWHERE- DO NOT GO HERE .

AMAZING SELECTION! EXTREMELY HELPFUL STAFF! YOU CANNOT BEAT THIS PLACE FOR BALLROOM, SWING, SALSA…read moreDANCE SHOES!!! I don't normally use all caps in my reviews, but this place truly deserves them! I initially ordered some shoes on Amazon and was unhappy with their fit and appearance. I happened to be in the neighborhood and found WorldTone Dance on Yelp. I was overwhelmed by their tremendous selection and the staff was genuinely helpful and accommodating. They made great suggestions and seem to know a lot about dance. I am sooooooooo happy with the shoes I bought and will definitely be back for more!

Kimber was incredibly helpful. She got me all the sizes I asked for. The shoe still didn't feel right so I asked if the store had any other black character shoes or shoes that looked like character shoes. She brought so many boxes. She was so helpful. I went with a totally different brand that I had not seen at other dance stores, because they were one of the non theatre shoes that Kimber brought out. I feel much better than when I went in. Thank you!

Do not get fitted for pointe shoes here. I'm an adult "beginner," and just got approved for pointe…read more I went in for my first ever pair 3 weeks ago. First, the girl tried to give me children's toe pads (from the borrow box, mind you) and the other girl came out and had to correct her. As a beginner I didn't know what to expect but I was so excited. I thought I found a pair and took them home. I should have waited to sew them but I was so excited. I took them to class the next week and my teacher was stunned that they sold a first- time pointe dancer R-Class shoes. She said those ones notoriously twist (and that beginners usually start with Bloch or Capezio), but hopefully they'd be ok enough for now. The next week I had finished sewing them and tried to wear them for class. My teacher had us do ONE exercise and immediately asked me to take them off, she was afraid I was going to hurt myself with how much they were twisting. She took a picture, I asked her to send it to me and I'll post it when I get it. I tried to go back to see if there was anything they could do. I didn't expect a full refund but at least something. The same girl that gave me the children's toe pads told me there was nothing they could do (pretty rudely, actually), but a different girl called a manager or owner (not sure). Btw there was another customer in there who also had an issue with their shoes, and the original girl looked at the new one and asked if she knew the answer to the other customer's question and the new girl was like,"uhh idk?!" So neither of them knew what they were doing apparently. Anyway, the new girl talked on the phone for a bit and then asked if she could see them on. Of course, so we all went to the fitting area and I put them on. They both looked at the shoes and tried pushing the twisted shank back in place (by now I had put them on enough to feel it, and since my teacher pointed it out too), but the original girl said they "weren't twisting too bad." She also said, "I remember you, they looked great when you bought them so for them to be all of a sudden twisting means you sewed them wrong" (even though my teacher helped me??). I also pointed out that the first fitting, both girls kept trying to push them into place but since I didn't know any better I trusted them. She then replied that it's standard practice to "check" for twisting by pushing them into place and again gaslit me about what happened that first day. This worker was snarky and rude the whole time, like she thought she was better than me (maybe because I'm an older beginner? Idk). That was her energy at least. I wish I had gotten her name. To be fair, they did eventually offer a discount on a new pair but by that time with the snark, obvious lack of knowledge, and gaslighting there is no way I'm getting fitted by them again. Steer clear for sure. Now I'm out $135 and have a pair of pointe shoes I'll never be able to wear.
