I called for an appointment to have a custom tailored jacket. I had my own fabric. I measured the…read morefabric and checked yardage on two different jacket patterns. Both pattern directions ordered the same yardage I had though just enough. I came to the appointment on time. The seamstress in the shop seemed surprised of the appointment. "Judy" appeared annoyed that I was there. There were no other customers in the shop at the time. 'Judy' looked at the fabric and was quite curt with me about the fabric. She made no effort to see if she could even make a jacket using their own materials. I was told to go to Goodwill or order a "jacket in a big size" from Amazon or Temu (Temu is very poor quality). She behaved like I wasn't worth having a better garment. Over all both workers were quite rude. I will never return and I wouldn't suggest the service to others.

I knew it was risky and the timeframe was really short and long story short it ended up being a bad choice - the dress I ordered was awful! With only one week before my wedding I rushed to Davids Bridal to try to find a dress off the rack. Obviously though, going to a bridal shop, non-traditional dresses are hard to come by and the best I could find was a cute ivory tea length, A-line dress. I really wanted something colorful and floral still so I found some floral tulle at JoAnne's and then searched for a local seamstress to see if anyone local could figure out something to do with my boring ivory dress, and in just a matter of days! Oh and the shoulders needed to be taken in as well!! Mandy was quick to respond, invited me to her home-based shop and said she could do it and would have it done by the next day!! It was even better than I expected! Like a whole new dress and fit like a glove!! I felt absolutely beautiful and received countless compliments! I highly recommend Mandy! Both times I met with her I only gave her literally one day's notice because I was planning from long distance and rarely in town, and she was able to change her plans to meet with me. She asked me tons of questions about logistics and her expertise and advice was undoubtedly what made the day go so smoothly. For all the help she gave me over email and meeting with me beforehand, I ought to have paid her for some planning as well as day-of services. She also ran the rehearsal and called each and every one of my vendors the week before. (I only know this because I was starting to call them and realized it wasn't necessary because people were telling me, "Oh I just spoke with your planner yesterday!") On the day of, she just took care of directing everything. Occasionally she'd have a couple questions for me (probably because I just left a stack of boxes that had things that needed to be set up) but she just made it all happen. She made everything stick to the timeline and did all the stressing out for me, so all I had to do was worry about getting ready and having the most special, wonderful day possible. Edit: I was able to pick up my garments when they agreed to have them ready. The workmanship was excellent. The seams are all subtle and strong. They do not look like they were altered, rather they look like that's how they were designed. One dress for my daughter had to have a section relined due to some scratchy material. My daughter was able to wear this dress for her pictures without constant fidgeting because of discomfort. Great job!
