We didn't think we could find THE PERFECT venue that was a one-stop shop, that was worry- and hassle-free, and that would provide the ambiance and vision for our brother's 40th birthday party, but we did! The Party Package at Wintergreen Woods more than delivered on our expectations. There was plenty of space for everyone to mingle, dance, and enjoy themselves while still feeling cozy and intimate. The natural scenery made it perfect for photos and created a really memorable atmosphere. What truly stood out was the hospitality. Donna and the team at Wintergreen Woods went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. There were NO ISSUES with food, decor, timing, cake, open bar... Everything was great! They're friendly, organized, and genuinely care about helping you have the best possible event. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how much they enjoyed the party, loved the venue, and adored how unique the setting was. If you want a party location that's beautiful, stress-free, and unforgettable, Wintergreen Woods is a fantastic choice. We HIGHLY recommend this rare treasure!

We had a house fire, car accident, makeup artist cancel, party bus not show up, and probably so much more. But they were so sweet and accommodating!! Carly is an outstanding coordinator who is personable, professional, and smart! Donna is a wonderful owner who took on anything she could to help us enjoy our day. The space is just outstanding!!! We picked it because of all the beautiful options it has no matter what the weather is. They flip any and all spaces you like. They have a contract with Partytime DJ's to get you more bang for your buck, bake your cake (that was to die for), set up everything exactly how you want it, and so much more. Our day had so many hiccups but Wintergreen woods made it absolutely PERFECT! From attitudes to services, nothing could have been better. We love you all so much!!

I have mixed thoughts on this place. Of the mansion tours, this is perhaps the least compelling,…read moredespite its history and famous resident. A museum on Reconstruction more than about the President himself, it feels like it is lacking on both. If you have the time, this beautiful house is worth it, but you will walk away feeling like something was missing. Reconstruction was a complicated and often ugly situation for both sides, So it can be a very difficult topic. Although there are some artifacts and some good information on static displays with in the home, the tour guide did not seem to know much about either topic. It lacks virtually any furniture or belongings from Woodrow Wilson himself, and it was not very versed in terms of its artifacts from Reconstruction. When telling the story, it is often falls short. Woodrow Wilson lived in Columbia in this house during the period and it shaped his attitudes and opinions and ultimately led him to run for office. That's the primary reason Historic Columbia made the era the focus. I believe it is the only museum dedicated to Reconstruction. Wilson lived in several homes as an adult, but only two growing up. The one in Augusta is much more focused on Wilson. I find the topic and the occupant of the home very fascinating, and if you really want to visit an important American landmark, you definitely should. Keep your expectations tempered though as it may not have enough artifacts from either the president or the era for your taste. There are two tours per day for this house. Visit the Historic Columbia gift shop at the Robert Mills Home to get tickets. It is approximately two blocks away.
