    big cocker roach

After being disgusted and having to cancel my reservation, I decided to stay at this hotel due to the Marriot reputation. Staff at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. I was all checked in and everything was going to be fine. However, when my guests and I bought in our luggage we thoroughly and found crumbs in the pull out couch bed, old sheets that were left by a former guest. Then the matter got worst, as later that evening as I am ready to retire for the evening, a huge cocker roach "water bug" was crawling on the ceiling. I called the front desk to notify them and ask for a Manager and was informed that they were sorry, however the manager will be back on Monday and I could take the Managers business card at the front desk and speak to him on Monday.

BEDBUGSSS... Beware of the bedbugs. I have stayed here for a 5 day business trip, and my room is #426. Felt so disappointed and they have bedbugs on the bed!!!!! At the least 5+ bedbugs. Sucks. Even the hotel manager helped me change to another room and gave me some points, but still bedbugs made me feel uncomfortable. 1 star for sure.

This hotel is disgusting. And the staff was the rudest I've ever dealt with and I travel a lot. They charge you for incidentals when there is NO drinks or snacks even in your room. We got to our room and there was a dirty towel with hair on it hanging in the shower. It was late so I was like oh gosh so gross. Whatever. But then the sink was fully stopped up and I couldn't brush my teeth. I called the front desk and the man there was super rude and hung up on me when I asked for another room. In the middle of the Coronavirus things should be extra extra clean. This hotel was super dirty. And on top of that, old banged up furniture, people talking in the hallway super loud at 1am. And with the rude staff! Ha never again. Go somewhere else. This hotel should be $50 a night. Definitely not worth $150 a night.

    Filthy bathroom floor

We normally stay at Fairfields because you can rely on them. Unfortunately, that has not been the case with the past few we've stayed at. All I want is a clean room. I did not receive that. The bathroom floor was disgusting. So dirty and sticky. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months! I wiped a small area and you can see the filth coming off. No tissues, only 2 small thin towels, light by bed not working, blow dryer hanging on the wall by a thread, and bottom sheet for bedding was ripped. I did not have breakfast but my husband said there was very little available. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My husband our 10 year old black lab and I checked in yesterday around 3 ! We were not greeted when we walked in he just asked for our name and credit card so I gave him my name and credit card ! No small talk just cut and dry ! We got up to our room #211 and I was just sickened , disgusted and so disappointed ! I took photos of all the items i immediately noticed ! We were 5 1/2 hours from home so my husband just said we keep quiet as we had no other options and were pretty much trapped here for two days as we were visiting family ! I was just so overwhelmed and sickened so around 2 hours later after I cooled down as I didn't want to be a crazy lady demanding a CLEAN ROOM my husband and I went down to the lobby to complain. A gentleman looked at my photos heard my complaints and a lady offered to clean our room ! I politely asked for clean sheets as I would do it as I just know the bed was not freshly made and I could literally smell someone else slept in that bed as the sheets were never changed for a new check in , my family ! The pictures Also show the hair in that bed didn't belong to my husband or I ! She insisted on sending house keeping up to clean - to be honest the house keeper made the bed with fresh sheets and vacuumed that was all ! Do I recommend this hotel ? Heck no ! I will never ever return here ! The only reason I'm giving 1 star is because you can't give 0 stars - we would of been better off sleeping in our car than to stay at this nasty hotel that charged my credit card immediately ! I Have no problem paying but when they put me in a room that's so gross , unclean and disgusting and even are willing to let me sleep in a bed that someone else slept in I promise I will never come to another fairfield inn and suites ever -------- ps. Instead of staying two nights we stayed one night and left !

    Dirt, mold, mildew in shower

I've stayed at a super 8 cleaner than this place. Service is bare minimum which I really don't care about, can't force anyone to do there job nicely but the rooms were disgusting. Marriotts are supposed to be known as "clean" but it looks like they never even wipe anything down. There was some weird white stain on the head board too ... They basically vacuum and take out trash is all no actual cleaning. Here's the pics

I actually picked this hotel last minute on my way to the Homewood Suites .. (I didn't properly read the reviews because i was blinded by the amazing price...I started reading the reviews and they were absolutely appalling!!!! Disgusting! Always always always read reviews lol. ) So i cancelled about 30 minutes before arrival and called to book here!! I was very happy with my choice to stay at Fairfield!! It was clean, staff super friendly! Walked right into my room with the room already cooled down. I have no complaints for my stay! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.. i did pay about $140 for my one night, but it was def worth the price for peace of mind knowing i won't have roaches crawling on me! My kids were happy too! Breakfast was delicious and a nice little spread, pool was quaint and perfect for the kids to let out some energy. The beds were very comfortable, bathroom was of decent size .. nice water pressure.

The staff was nice and polite, and the coffee was fine, but other than that I was unimpressed with this location. When I checked in, the room had no bath towels (only hand towels) and had a roll of clearly once soaking wet toilet paper in the bathroom (what was is soaked with?....) Towels were not delivered when requested or returned when housekeeping came. Avoid this location unless you're ok with picking up towels daily at the front desk and staying in a dirty hotel. (Photo 1: dirty elevator floor, Photo 2: previously soaked toilet paper roll).

We didn't think we could find THE PERFECT venue that was a one-stop shop, that was worry- and hassle-free, and that would provide the ambiance and vision for our brother's 40th birthday party, but we did! The Party Package at Wintergreen Woods more than delivered on our expectations. There was plenty of space for everyone to mingle, dance, and enjoy themselves while still feeling cozy and intimate. The natural scenery made it perfect for photos and created a really memorable atmosphere. What truly stood out was the hospitality. Donna and the team at Wintergreen Woods went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. There were NO ISSUES with food, decor, timing, cake, open bar... Everything was great! They're friendly, organized, and genuinely care about helping you have the best possible event. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how much they enjoyed the party, loved the venue, and adored how unique the setting was. If you want a party location that's beautiful, stress-free, and unforgettable, Wintergreen Woods is a fantastic choice. We HIGHLY recommend this rare treasure!

They have a contract with Partytime DJ's to get you more bang for your buck, bake your cake (that was to die for), set up everything exactly how you want it, and so much more. A museum on Reconstruction more than about the President himself, it feels like it is lacking on both. If you have the time, this beautiful house is worth it, but you will walk away feeling like something was missing. Reconstruction was a complicated and often ugly situation for both sides, So it can be a very difficult topic. Although there are some artifacts and some good information on static displays with in the home, the tour guide did not seem to know much about either topic. It lacks virtually any furniture or belongings from Woodrow Wilson himself, and it was not very versed in terms of its artifacts from Reconstruction. When telling the story, it is often falls short. Woodrow Wilson lived in Columbia in this house during the period and it shaped his attitudes and opinions and ultimately led him to run for office. That's the primary reason Historic Columbia made the era the focus. I believe it is the only museum dedicated to Reconstruction. Wilson lived in several homes as an adult, but only two growing up. The one in Augusta is much more focused on Wilson. I find the topic and the occupant of the home very fascinating, and if you really want to visit an important American landmark, you definitely should. Keep your expectations tempered though as it may not have enough artifacts from either the president or the era for your taste. There are two tours per day for this house. Visit the Historic Columbia gift shop at the Robert Mills Home to get tickets. It is approximately two blocks away.

Everyone is so kind, from the front desk to kitchen staff to housekeeping, every single person we interacted with was very nice, we always got a big smile and a warm southern hello. Having to rest in the hotel for two days was boring but the staff helped with everything we needed. They brought lots of extra pillows for elevation, kept our ice packs in their freezer (fridge in room but not freezer) and received our Walmart order. The hotel is older, but excellently clean and maintained. The bed was very comfortable, which was a must have. The linens are exquisitely clean. There is good closet space and lots of drawers. They serve a nice breakfast, which was very helpful before appointments. You can get an English muffin if you ask for it and you can make yourself a nice little egg, cheese and sausage breakfast sandwich. There are waffles and cereal, grits, toast, eggs and sausage or bacon and juices as well as yogurt and coffee. Although it's very cold outside currently, the pool looks crystal clear. The only issue we had was that the TV in the room takes a bit to figure out. The remote has very few buttons and the guide on the TV itself showed the "no information available" message for each channel. Still there a a great many channels and it's old school, you switch the channel and see what show is on ;' ). All good. There is a Chik-filet very close as well as an Outback. I'm giving 5 stars here and although some may not agree (age of hotel) we were very comfortable, the staff was amazing and it worked out very well for our needs. Thank you all at Hampton Inn Columbia Northeast, we appreciate you!
