Loaded Mac & Cheese Bowl

Locals know it. Off the main path. Thanks to Yelp, I found it. Small, quaint eatery with a nice menu and excellent food. If you want something different, give M's Eatery a try.

I enjoyed today's lunch at M's Eatery. We came in at around 12:45 PM. They open at noon so it was perfect timing but it was already full so we had to wait a while. Once our table was ready, we were seated and ordered their Cobb salad (small portion), wings, and their Mac N' Cheese with crispy chicken. You can either have it with their buffalo of Nashville Hot sauces. I tried both on the side only because I wanted to taste the Nashville Hot sauce. It was okay, a bit sweet and spicy. It's the kind of spice that if you do t like spice, it would be too hot. All in all, it was a great meal. I loved the service. Our server had a great sense of humor and it was an all women employed establishment. The restaurant itself is small. This is why it took a while to be seated but the food made up for it. If I'm ever in Kentucky. I will surely stop by M's Eatery again.

10/17/24 I came here for the first time as I was in town for work and visiting my friend. She recommended this place as she said it's her favorite and due to their limited open availability, she doesn't always get to enjoy their food. M's Eatery is such a quaint little spot with a warm homey ambiance. The service was excellent--Aimee, our server, was incredibly attentive. I ordered the sticky Korean wings and loaded fries, and the portions were so generous that I had leftovers to share with my husband for dinner. The food was delicious, and the overall experience felt like a cozy, home-cooked meal. Highly recommend!

I've been waiting for the berry salad all week! Worth the wait -- amazing

Busy, busy but always worth the wait. I love the cozy feeling. Perfect ambiance for winter.

We found this cute little place on a quick day trip to Maysville! The food is delicious and very homey. I had the loaded Mac and cheese with a side of Nashville hot sauce and the sauce is good and hot! Service was fast and the servers are all very friendly!

Wow... out of town for work and this place came recommended by the airport. I am so happy that we listened to the airport manager and gave M's a try. Our service was outstanding and the food was amazing. I couldn't have been more pleased with the chicken salad and fried pickles. If I'm ever in Maysville again I will definitely eat here.

Honey whiskey burger and Onion Petals

A great place to stop and eat, fantastic food and the service is the same! I've tried the four items in my pictures and have been pleasantly surprised each time by the quality and taste. My favorite so far has been the Hot Honey Chicken wrap! The restaurant was very clean and everyone is friendly. It gets busy so get there early.

This place is kinda in the middle of nowhere just a touch outside of downtown maysville. It has a nice interior but somewhat limited space during busy brunch hours. Parking on the street is easy. Staff are friendly and very welcoming. Expect a little wait if they are busy or understaff. The manager was friendly and understanding and kept us informed about the delays. Food wise, i got the whiskey burger, she got the fish sandwich, and we shared a sticky Korean wings. Coming from nyc expectation, these 3 items we ordered were fantastic!! The Korean wings for the price is excellent with tons of meats/crunch and sauce. The salad with their special fruity jam was yum. The breading in the fried catfish was minimal so you get to taste the fish. The burger was deliciously made. The potato fries are great and fresh. I can't find a negative about it, except the small delays in service we got, which was insignificant considering they are family owned and we know they are trying their best. If you are in town, definitely give this place a try!!

Fried Cod Sandwich and Saratoga Chips

We were just passing through Maysville and found this little restaurant on Yelp. We love local restaurants and we were glad we found this one! Our server Amy managed to serve the whole place and did so pleasantly and efficiently. We ordered fried pickles to start and although not pictured, we're among the best we've had. The meals came out quickly and they were plentiful and delicious! I spoke to the folks preparing food behind the counter and these folks are the friendliest people you'll find. True southern hospitality. M's is just a little off the beaten path, but if you're in Maysville, look it up!

The interior has a very historic vibe.

M's is tucked away by itself .4 miles east of downtown Maysville, but it is worth finding. As soon as you step foot inside, you are transported back to a simpler, kinder time. The staff is friendly, the food is fantastic and the ambiance is worth the trip. The menu offers a variety of favorites too. Do yourself a favor and check out M's.

Outside

This place is FANTASTIC! The atmosphere, service, and (OMG) the food were all superb! My husband and I just stopped in on a whim on a day trip from Cincinnati and, I have to tell you, I would drive back just for M's Eatery! I had the Caprese Pasta; all of the favors were perfectly balanced.

The wicker chairs in the section to the left of the bar as you face the bar were unusually deep and low. Over time I think we all adjusted, but sitting in them definitely felt unusual. There are other chairs throughout the restaurant. I recommend finding a table with different chairs. Our waiter was knowledgeable and very efficient. We hadn't checked on the website, but found out Thursday is oyster day, with $1 oysters and fried oysters and $1.50 for Oyster Bienville. The fried oysters were delicious. The raw oysters were good, though I had one that was gritty. We are going again in two weeks and will try the Oyster Bienville along with other assorted oysters. Two of us had the special Pan Seared Sea Bass. It came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The crisp on the top was delicious and the fish itself was delicate and moist. It did indeed melt in my mouth. The potatoes were very good, though I didn't finish all of them. The greens were good. Mark had a ribeye and is still raving about it today. He ordered the preparation version made with just salt and pepper. He also had a cup of gumbo. He said it had an amazing depth of flavor. We wrapped up with dessert. Three folks had Key Lime Pie. I opted for Karma's Opera Crème Cake. Oh my goodness, it was huge, sweet and delicious. I tried a bit of key lime and it just didn't compare. That said, those who had the Key Lime Pie loved it. Not only would we return, but we have the date already scheduled. I'm looking forward to trying something different.

Not to mention the fact that you HAVE TO HAVE A RESERVATION, was mind boggling for the place. Like the server was very nice and all, that is a plus. Though sadly the food, we had the gumbo and etu fay, it was honestly pretty sad. Like it's up there with the top 5 most sad restaurants I've ever eaten at. The food was pretty bland, and lacked any form of spice. Not to mention it was hard to tell what was actually in it, like a lot of the ingredients tasted over cooked. So yeah it's going to be a no for me.

I don't write reviews often, but Southern Grace absolutely deserves one…read more The food here is already well known for being amazing, so that part isn't a secret. Everything is seasoned perfectly, cooked right, and served hot. The fried fish was crispy and flavorful, the mac and cheese was rich and comforting, the greens tasted like they came straight out of someone's family kitchen, and the candied yams were sweet and done just right. It's the kind of plate that reminds you why Southern cooking is so special. But what really stood out to me wasn't just the food. It was the customer service. In most places, you either get incredible food with average service, or great service with food that's just okay. Southern Grace somehow manages to deliver both at a very high level. From the moment you walk in, you're treated with genuine kindness and respect. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and you can tell they actually care about the experience they're giving their customers. I have to make a special mention to one of the team members LaDon for his exceptional professionalism. That kind of consistency between food quality and customer service is rare. It makes the entire experience feel personal rather than transactional. If you're looking for authentic Southern food paired with top-tier hospitality, Southern Grace is absolutely worth the visit. Places like this remind you what real customer service is supposed to feel like.

The building is beautiful as is the interior. There are lots of little rooms and the tables are pretty tight. It was a bit difficult for wait staff to get around, but the service was still attentive. Two of us ordered the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich w/ fries. That darn sandwich was delicious!! It was sticky as all get out, but it was delicious! I'll apologize now; my pic is so blurry I hesitate to post it, but I'm going to anyway. The other person having the Pork Tenderloin also enjoyed it. Mark ordered the Kentucky Hot Brown. He said it was loaded with ham and it was salty. He finished every bite, but he did say he wouldn't order it again. One person loved her Cod (she didn't eat the bread) and another said the shrimp and grits were very good. The menu has lots of options. I mentioned we would be happy to come back sometime for dinner. We bought some chocolate cookies (they are by the hostess podium) on the way out. They had a nice chocolate and salt flavor, but should have had more chips.

When we pulled up, the outside looked a little quiet and honestly the whole town felt kind of abandoned. But the second you open the door -- totally different story. The place was full of life: music playing, kind faces everywhere, and the smell of amazing food. We started with deviled eggs for an appetizer. My dad ordered the ribs with carrot salad, coleslaw, and baked beans. I got the pulled pork with greens, mac & cheese, and mashed potatoes. The food was out of this world. The ribs? They understood the assignment and got extra credit. The meat literally fell right off the bone & perfectly seasoned. I definitely stole a few from my dad's plate. The pulled pork was incredible too -- super tender with no gristle, which I loved. And the sides... oh my gosh. My personal favorites were the mac & cheese, greens, and the baked beans. We finished with the apple crisp for dessert -- so good and easily enough for two people. And the best part? Everything is made fresh. We don't live in the area, but I already can't wait to go back.

Everyone else was happy with their meal: pulled pork sandwich with mashed potatoes, kids chicken tenders, low country shrimp deviled egg salad, meatloaf sandwich with peanut cole slaw and grilled cheese & tomato soup. We also had desserts. We tried the apple cobbler and bourbon bread pudding. The bread pudding was AWESOME! The cobbler was really just baked apples with ice cream and some crumbles. Not really a cobbler, but it was tasty. We ordered coffee during dessert and [fair warning] it was instant coffee. The place is very casual. We overdressed because I thought it would be nicer. Casual isn't bad, just not what I expected. Meals are served on cardboard, brown paper and metal trays. I called twice to make a reservation. No one answered. I left messages both times and did not receive a call back. I called another time and got a person and was able to make a reservation, although I now know it was not needed. There was plenty of seating available. The server was VERY NICE and personable and attentive. The kitchen was slow, however. It is possible she was the only person working since we did not see anyone else. 3 of us ordered the low country shrimp and deviled egg salad but all the hot food came out first. Our server apologized for the missing salads and said she'd be right back. It was a good amount of time before she came back and we had the impression she was making them herself. While the food was delicious and our server was very nice, we probably won't go back. It was worth the drive (we live in NKy) to go once, but not to go again.
