He ordered the chicken wrap and I ordered the ciabatta with cream cheese and marmalade. It came with three pieces of fresh bread grazed with a lemony sweet marmalade and delicious cream cheese. I separated the bacon because the combination was weird to me but I ate it after and it was a nice finish. Overall, a very satisfying meal. The chicken wrap was flavorful and hot, a tad bit greasy/drippy but overall satisfying. We also ordered some english breakfast tea and a flat white which came with a small taste of chocolate fudge. Our total was $27 which was fair in comparison to some of the other few options in town. I'm glad we looked around and settled on this spot. They also have a lot of knick knacks and variety of things to browse from lotions and bug repellents to books and jewelry. I would recommend a visit.

There is a gift shop next door. The menu sign in Chinese characters mentioned handmade dumplings, so I figured, why not give it a try? When we walked in, there were only two staff members and no other customers. I ordered two kinds of boiled dumplings: lamb with carrots, and pork with prawn. My partner had the barbecue pork with noodles, and my friend ordered barbecue pork with rice. Prices were $24.50 for the noodles, $21.50 for the rice, and $19.50 for nine dumplings. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The portions were quite small for the price, and the dumplings were all mixed together on the plate, making it impossible to tell which was which. My partner's noodle soup was extremely salty yet bland at the same time. When I asked about the type of noodles, the cashier, who spoke Mandarin told me they were Cantonese egg noodles. Being from Hong Kong and familiar with authentic Cantonese cuisine, I can confidently say they were not egg noodles. Overall, it was a quick stop for something to eat, but given the small portions and lackluster flavors, we ended up heading to Mrs. Woolly's General Store afterward to fill up which was a gem!

They heated the brownie and drizzled hot chocolate sauce over it before serving. A small mound of whipped cream complimented it nicely. The brownie was too rich for my taste so I only ate half but I enjoyed relaxing in this atmosphere meanwhile. The carrot cake was also decent but I probably wouldn't order it again. Overall, it was a nice pit stop.

Do not venture out through the dark of night for dinner, stay right here and enjoy a wonderful 3 course meal for a fair price! Double room with bath was perfect for us (couple). Plenty of hot water, clean, all in good working order, and nice decor. Hot water bottles were such a nice touch on nights the temps dipped below freezing. Internet speed was good and wifi signal is strong throughout the property. Great ideas for hiking and a wonderfully complete kitchen to prepare our pack lunches made for a perfect launching point. Upon return from many hours on the local paths, Kinloch Lodge was a jewel at the end of the road.
