Now, the larger dog park had jumping activities, several benches to sit, and enough space. Though, the smaller dog park had one table with shade--two ladies crowded the table. Two filthy buckets of water with brown dirt caked on the bottom. It had dead flies laying in the water--plus it probably had all kinds of saliva from sick and healthy dogs. It was pretty gross. In both small and large dog parks, it wasn't no doggie poop bags. They were stone cold out! I had to give this lady two bags of what I bought. The park was pathetic. It was strange because it was workers there in the park and its not like they seemed to care about what the park lacked. I guess they were there for the money only. Also, back in 2012 when my sister and I came out with Pocky and his sister the larger dog park had a hole in the fence. My two babies got out of the gate onto incoming traffic. I'm not sure if they fixed that or not, but that was a huge issue. Now, the event Paws in the Park was pretty ok. They had a lot of vendors selling things: dog clothing, accessories, nail trims, dog rescue groups, doggie pool, and lots of dogs. The event is free with free parking. That's the nice. However. the park is crap. It was bare-minimum--not a great park at all.

While the tree lighting ceremony on Post Oak boulevard has been going on for years, this was the…read morefirst time I've attended. The even had street vendors, entertainers, and lots of family fun. The festival had lights on the roof of buildings and a fun show on the stage. This was the debut of the "new" trees on post oak boulevard, and they did not disappoint. They were 20 feet tall and made of twisted stainless steel with 249 LED lights on different points of the "trees". They were a very a modern take on the "Christmas Tree" and they were beautiful. The trees and fireworks were meant to be lit at 7:00 P.M., it didn't exactly go as planned, but nobody seemed to mind. Once the firework display began, the crowd was amazed, including myself. The uptown post oak tree lighting event was a sight to see and I would highly recommend.

If you've lived in Houston at least 10 years, you should attend this annual event at least once. Pros: - There is lots of parking even if you don't arrive early. The flyer also has a map of the free parking areas. - The music is good. - There are some booths, one of which lets you throw a ball through some holes in the back and you could win t-shirts, stress balls, etc... - There are police directing the flow of traffic which made leaving the area smooth. - There are lots of food options (albeit mostly unhealthy carnival type food). - The other attendees are polite (We only saw one drunk guy helped by his friends. Alcohol was not available at the event so I'm not sure how that happened.) - There are lots of places to sit (e.g. along the curb, concrete garden walls of surrounding businesses, etc...) I brought a chair for my mother, though. - The terrific fireworks show at the end was choreographed to music. - The emcees did a good job entertaining. - It was held in a fun area so you could walk around if you were waiting for the fireworks. - Some booths sold hot chocolate for only $2 when the temperatures were in the low 50s. - The food was not overpriced (except that bbq food truck selling turkey legs for $10 each). Cons: - They advertised food trucks but other than a bbq one, they were mostly generic fair food tents serving turkey legs ($8!), hot dogs, corn dogs, nachos, fajitas, sandwiches, tortas, funnel cakes, etc... - Lots of vendors were selling flashing colorful light toys that may make parents buy junk for their kids, wasting money. - I didn't see any portable restrooms. - There were strobes flashing lights. - The diesel-fueled generators powering some of the food tents were really loud and smelly.

It's not very tall but it's easy for them to scale up it and get down by themselves. They also have some rockers they can sit on. Their favorite is the motorcycle because it comes with a side car, so they can both ride together. The hills are fun to run around on, my kids burn so much energy off while we're there. I love how they have it decorated for Christmas too. They have lights and even a big Christmas tree! Another huge plus is that this park has restrooms. They are clean and always stocked with toilet paper and soap. It's pretty convenient because the three year old is Potty trained, so when she has to go, she has to go right then and there. Purchased club seats for myself and a friend and absolutely LOVED the experience in that section. That said, we wandered the entire stadium before the game (and got to pet plenty of pooches since it was a Waggin' Wednesday game), got some Space Cowboys swag (I even got a leash for my dog), and made sure to see everything that Constellation Field had to offer. Once we got to the club section (the First Community Club), we got our wristbands and made our way to the buffet. What a great selection of food! I complemented my food with a local beer selection. Then we made our way to our seats and got to enjoy the view, the breeze, and some fun baseball. Pre-paying for parking makes that aspect of the experience a breeze. The staff at this stadium are an absolute delight as well. Very clean stadium, lots of activities and concession options. As far as minor league / AAA stadiums go, Constellation Field is one of the better ones I've been able to visit. Highly recommend.

Constellation field has burgers, chicken, hot dogs, fries, tea, and other staples like popcorn and chips. If you have kids, they have you covered here! I spent most of my money on collectible pins, a hat, jersey, and other gifts for my folks back home. I spotted three large gift shops with great items. I picked up every single enamel pin, lol. The store had snap backs, trucker hats, and dad caps. Shirts ranged from hokey to hipster. I felt like most of their jerseys needed a slight revamp, however I was able to find a neat one! Constellation Field has excellent seats, some shaded areas, and a massive lawn behind the bullpen. I spotted many families pull up their chairs and blankets. The area is quite inviting, it's also an affordable option for large families or groups with small children. Players interacted with fans on the lawn! I paid for a seat near home plate, it was about $13 bucks. I opted to stand and enjoy a refreshing drink at the viewing counter behind my section. I LOVE when stadiums have counters lined across the field. It's perfect for guests who want to stand or escape the sun. Personally, I had just arrived from a long flight so I wanted to stretch my legs, this was wonderful. Scoreboards and signage have an authentic Texan aesthetic. The largest scoreboard is shaped like the state of Texas and the numbers/lettering have a spacey vibe. Murals across Constellation are stunning, I especially love the ones featuring the Space Cowboys logo and Orion the mascot. Oh! Don't forget to take a picture with the large Astros championship ring, I forgot to like a dork! The parking lot is massive, I parked my little Kia Soul in a safe environment. I felt secure and comfortable.
