Disclaimer first: I did not get work done here. As such, I cannot comment on their workmanship or…read moredurability of their repairs. With that said, the worst cliches of anti-service 'service' or repair shops came true. 1- They demand a $25 credit card deposit when you book an appointment. Who else does that? Do not agree to this. Here is why: 2- Whoever took the appointment had booked me in the wrong category. 3- The person at the desk there was quite rough around the edges. It is not that his demeanour and diction were quite lacking, but he had no customer service skills either. 4- The man claimed he cannot take me in because of the error. He could not explain how it happened. He also could not explain why the person who was going to work on my car (in the wrongly booked category) could not instead do my work with the time he had been freed up at. 5- His solution was for me to leave my car there for the day and they would see if they could get to it that day. I would not even if he had been polite, courteous or analytical about any of it. Not only an apology was not forthcoming, I can assure any readers that they did not do 'glass' here and are evidently not 'speedy' here.

Roughly two weeks ago, after I had finished shopping at a local No Frills for groceries, I noticed…read morethat there were scratches on the rear driver-side door of my car and scratches on the body above the rear tire. I speculated that a car had sideswiped mine that was parked in a parking lot when I was doing grocery shopping. My car was days shy of being a year old. Ugh. I called my insurance, who suggested filing a police report within 24 hours. So, I did. The police officer looked at the damage, ruled out a shopping cart had hit my car, and considered it a hit-and-run incident. After talking again to my insurance company, the representative advised that the car repairs would not cost me anything. He recommended Assured to get my car fixed up. It is close to my home, so I did just that. Roughly two hours later, at 3 pm, I had an appointment. I spoke to Dave, who immediately took out his camera to take photos of the damage. He said that it wasn't too bad. It would take three or four days to complete. He made me feel at easy by saying that it wasn't my fault, that my deductible was waived off, and that I could drop off my car the following Wednesday. He also mentioned that he would get my car rental set up. Last Wednesday, I arrived at Assured. The parking lot was busy with tons of cars. I parked by the side of the building and walked in. Dave remembered me and asked whether I had taken what I needed from my car. I did. 407 ETR transponder? Check. Cell phone cable and charger with a magnetic holder for my phone? Check. Bag of candy? Check. Dave called Enterprise to have someone pick me up and drive me over there. The delay was noticeable. Dave called Enterprise again, which is no more than three minutes away by car. He then let me know that he followed up with a call to Enterprise. I appreciated it. Moments later, the person came to pick me up. Dave wanted to make sure that I had retrieved everything that I needed from my car. I did. Yesterday, he called and said that my car was ready. I asked him whether I could pick up my car today, as I was in a series of meetings at work and the body shop closes at 5 pm. He was good. This morning, I dropped off my rental car and got a lift to Assured. The driver honked. Dave came out and said hi as I was looking at my car that was parked right outside the main doors. We walked in. He showed me all the paperwork and what I needed to sign. He then went back outside to show me what was fixed. I was impressed. My car looked brand new again! I got to take a lollypop from the candy jar at the front desk. I have a weakness for candy. He told me to take more! Excellent workmanship and customer service here. If you do need your car fixed, this is the body shop to go to in Markham. (54)

Recently, I was involved in an accident whereby my driver's side front end got severely damaged. My…read moreinsurance company referred me to Assured as they value the workmanship and how Assured takes care of their clients. So, I went there and the professionalism gesture I received was overwhelming as I never got into such type of accident and didn't know what to do. This is what I call valuable information sharing that got me to report the incidence to the collision Centre. I went there, reported my situation and received my Collison track number. After which Assured guided me my next steps. The work that they provided in fixing my car is literally making look like as if I bought a new car on the spot. But cleaned the inside of my car as well. I am extremely satisfied with their efforts. If there was ranking to provide, I would give 10+ instead of 10

Another man picked up and was pretty condescending on the phone. I asked about same day appointments and got laughed at. Apparently they don't do that. I asked for a quote to see what he'd say, he gave me a price higher than Richard quoted me through email and asked if I was going to pay cash. Just as I was about to hang up, he asked if I knew Richard, and when I responded by saying I was exchanging emails with Richard, he changed his quote back down. It's kind of shady if you ask me. I don't doubt their work might be good, but if they can't be honest or transparent with customers, I'm not going to trust them with my vehicle. I also don't appreciate being treated differently. Perhaps Richard should just handle to customer service end of things from now on. I ended up going with Audio Heaven that same day and I'm very happy with the experience there.

RED FLAG FOR TESLA OWNERS…read more I selected this body shop because they claimed to be a Tesla-approved facility. I explained from the start that I was not at fault in the accident and that insurance would be covering the repair. They told me to let insurance handle it, so I did. They never gave me any estimate, invoice, or notification of any out-of-pocket costs. They went ahead with repairs without my approval for anything not covered by insurance. After nearly 45 days of delays--saying the insurance company "wasn't responding"--I was suddenly told that I now have to pay whatever the insurance won't cover or they won't release my car. This was the first time I heard about any personal charges. Very poor communication and zero transparency. Tesla owners, consider this a major red flag.
