Important: bring cash or face the $20 card minimum that you'll be advised about after you pull your card out. I love it here and make it a point to come each time I visit OSJ. Keep in mind this is a small shop with usually just one person making the waffles at a time, and there is limited seating at the bar. Yes, it's a "tourist" spot because it's a novelty-type shop, but the waffles are SO good. They have this great sweetness to them that isn't overbearing but strays from a typical dry-waffle flavor. Service can be slow if it's busy, but there is a small cocktail bar in this shop too that has beers and Pina Coladas, as well as some clothing and jewelry. Overall, it is a cute spot worth stopping in if you're having a sweet craving with a twist.

This place was cute reminded me of the Kinky dessert bar in NY. Everything was made fresh. The location is small so if you have a big group you won't all be able to sit. Cute photo op set up in the back.

Great experience. They have other goodies inside (socks, bathing suits, etc.) but you cum for the weenie or a flower waffle. The waffle it's self is delicious. I had a chocolate waffle with Nutella and oreo cookies on top. IT WAS SOO GOOD! Our server was soo nice, and very entertaining. They have flower wall and art to complement the vibe. They also have weenie pops lol. All in all a great experience! Can't wait to go back for a flower.

Tropical vibes all around! From refreshing cocktails and sweet island weenie treats to cute souvenirs, stylish clothing, and a photo wall that's perfect for vacation memories Mr. Weenie Waffles is a whole vibe in Puerto Rico!

Place was cute. Service was slow. Waffles were pre made, sitting under foil. Thought I could decorate my own waffle, but dude took and put strawberries and whipped cream all over my joint. I wanted a different visual. Overpriced for some cold waffles.

So amazingly delicious. Hot and fresh. Loved the flavor and they have drinks here as well and they are strong!!

This place is great for lots of naught and fun photos. There is also a clothing store and pina colada stand inside so you can spend a while inside. The weenie itself is pancake like. I would have liked it to be more of a churro texture. It was a lot of pancake and I could eat it all. I would suggest getting the mini weenie if you just want a photo. You can get 1 glaze, 1 sauce and 1 topping on your weenie. The cashiers are very playful so be ready to talk about weenies!

It's a fun store. You may not get the theme until you walk in but the signs outside are very noticeable. The waffles are really good. The batter was great and you can fill/top the waffles however you want. You can also get ice cream and batidas if it's a hot day. They have really fun merchandise to give as gifts and a seating area in the back.

    Definitely a conversation starter lol

We had heard about this place and had to get one. Mostly to post on social media. Since I'm diabetic I didn't eat it but I was told it was tasty. tasty.

What can I say the weenie is heavy and perfect for breakfast! It's tasty and thick. I went with my friends found them on tik tok. My friends enjoyed them and had no complaints

I've been wanting to visit here since seeing it all over social media. Upon arrival be prepared to wait, they only had 2-3 staff members so it's important to be patient. The cashier was super friendly an funny, I'd give the waffles a 4/5 for flavor but overall a good experience.

10/10 for creativity and entertainment. The waffles themselves were more like 4/5 for taste, they could use more sauce/toppings. Still, definitely worth the stop. I'd recommend this place for sure (maybe not for kids). Delicious treat!

We came here for a brunch with a group of 24 guys and gals for a joint bachelor-bachelorette trip - I made the reservation through email over a week in advance to secure the space. The staff had blocked off an upstairs room and downstairs room entirely for our two groups - we ended up wanting to squeeze together in the downstairs space, and the host/server was very kind about rearranging tables and making it happen. Our server took her time to explain to us the menu and experience at Waffle-era, including suggestions for pairing waffles and teas. You can add alcohol to any tea or coffee or juice drink on the menu, which was really cool. She and the team were very accommodating about splitting the bill a certain way, making sure to clarify any allergies or preferences, and making sure we all got our food. I had the half Tauras (savory) and half Queso del Pais (sweet) waffles with a regular latte. The Tauras was delicious! Loved the soft goat cheese and savory pesto and balsamic. The Queso del Pais was a local specialty I wanted to try (with torched white cheese and guava paste) and it was really interesting - worth it. The coffee was good and the rest of the group was pretty happy with their waffles, although the restaurant ran out of pesto and several of the group had to replace it with balsamic or chipotle sauce. Good experience, top-tier hospitality and service and accommodations for a large group, and good brunch food. Recommend this unique spot for sure!

Grabbed an iced latte and an iced tea to go: the latte was smooth and well-balanced, not over-roasted like a lot of tourist-zone coffee shops nearby, and the iced tea was refreshing after walking the cobblestone streets. The menu keeps it simple -- espresso drinks, paninis (Cuatro Sombras, Yauco, Viejo San Juan), open toast with avocado & egg or salmon, and a solid breakfast lineup with guava butter toast and dulce de papaya oatmeal that lean into the Puerto Rican flavor profile. Loved seeing local sodas and juices in the fridge case alongside the usual water and La Croix. Staff moved efficiently even with a small crowd at the counter. Good spot to duck into for a quality coffee break in Old San Juan -- feels like a real local roaster rather than a chain, and the space itself is worth a look even if you're just passing through.

We made a reservation in the morning when we docked in San Juan since I read they stay busy. Atmosphere: Upon arrival, there was a short wait for 2 of us. The eatery has inside seating however with 5 full length doors to the outside it feels like an open air kinda eatery. There's a large countertop eating bar in the middle of the restaurant & an additional eating area in the back, but overall it's a pretty small dining spot. Food: Tried to make a few alterations to my dish such as scramble the omlette instead of the traditional fold it & add an over easy egg to the sandwich. They said the kitchen is very particular about the presentation of the food so no "scrambled" omelette & the over easy egg had to be on the side in case the yolk popped on the sandwich before making it to the table. Ok! Veggie omlette was really flavorful. Full of diced veggies. The avocado I added was such a nice consistency. Yes it was ripe but I think it's a different variety of avocado than we tend to get in mainland US. With the omelette plate, I substituted french toast ($6 up charge) for the regular toast. The french toast was soft & fluffy. Very good. The dish also came with a generous portion of hand cut French fries. It would have been better if they were hot but they were still good. My husband got the Cuban sandwich & added an over easy egg & said the sweet plantain on the sandwich was unexpected & really made it quite good. Pricing: Price point may be considered moderate to moderately higher, but you're on holiday and the food & ambiance are good. Breakfast was $78 before tip for 2 entrees (with add ons), 2 specialty coffees, 1 juice & $4 for unlimited filtered water. All in all, it was a heck of a lot of food, tasty, and I left very satisfied. I definitely recommend it!
