I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND this shop. I had an 1100am(Thursday) appt wasn't taken care of till almost 12pm. The man in charge was initially welcoming. They finally took my vehicle in, but the employees inside the shop could not find my tires which they had received on Tuesday per FEDEX receipt confirmation. To make matters worst the guy that was the one to work on my vehicle was too busy looking at his mobile, to actually work. They actually started working at about 1245pm. Just to fast fwd at about 210p the man at the desk called me that I was ready and that I had to pay for dismounting and mounting of the tires and a few other things. At that point I advised him upon purchasing the 4 new tires I paid for the service of installing them. He continued to say "well this has to happen , as a matter of fact I have applied a discount total $170 something. " I responded "well instalation is dismounting and mounting the tires which " -again a no from him. He followed to call someone stating it was "the vice president of the company‍ & said that he confirmed it has to be paid. " I tried showing him the receipt of payment which he did not look at all. He continued stating that he has to pay his employees, that it's necessary so that the tires function correctly, etc... I then stepped aside and called the company I purchased the tires from, Tires Easy the rep advised I had paid for the service prior and DID NOT have to PAY ANYTHING EXTRA. I put the call on speaker and she explained to him exactly the same thing. He continued with the same song and dance "I had the work done it has to be paid, I spoke to the vice- president of the Co.,I have to pay my boys in the shop, etc, etc" . I was not going to stand down . He called the "Vice president" again to tell him what the rep was saying on my my call, not once looked at the receipt, and continued to say "tire rack", which I continued to correct him "Tire easy" which he ignored. Finally the VP told him it had to be entered in a different format for prepayment customers . I took my keys and left around 240p(late to go to work already btw). If I would have listened to him and as it's known these shops try to get over on woman. I would have being swindled, deceived unjustifiably. Always be vigilant, prepared and stand your ground. read more

THE WORST company and customer service. Do not waste your time. The manager CJ is beyond rude. And has a smart mouth. I would never spend my money here. Don't say you accept appointments then have people wait an hour and half just to be serviced. Oil change should not take 2 + hours. Avoid. CJ needs to be let go immediately!! read more

Mr. Tire - Union, NJ (1 star - because zero isn't an option) Absolutely never again. I scheduled a 9am appointment at Mr. Tire in Union for a simple oil change and tire rotation--something that has never taken more than an hour at any reputable shop. I booked it with the intention of waiting, assuming I'd be in and out in a reasonable time. Instead, I was told there would be up to a 2-hour wait just to even look at my car, with zero communication from the staff the entire time. Hours went by with no updates. Then, conveniently, I'm told that all five studs on my back passenger wheel were broken. Really? That seems a little too coincidental, especially since I never had any issues before bringing it in. I agreed to the repair, which took even longer because they ordered parts and only a portion arrived, dragging this ordeal out even more. Again--no one said a word. I had to keep asking for updates and got vague or dismissive answers. At one point, I noticed the tech messing with personal items inside my car, which was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. After waiting a ridiculous 5.5 hours, I finally got my car back. As if that wasn't enough, as I drove off, I noticed my tire pressure warning light was on--turns out the front passenger tire was inflated to only 15 psi. I had to stop at a gas station just to make my car roadworthy. To top it all off, they tack on miscellaneous "shop fees" on top of the purchased Groupon (my fault as I should have caught that, but never have i had extra fees added to an oil change). I used a Groupon for the oil change and rotation, but even with that, the final bill was shockingly high with parts, labor and fees... not to mention my wasted time. This was easily one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. The complete lack of communication, questionable damage, and careless treatment of both my time and my car sealed it for me--I will never be returning to Mr. Tire again. Stay far away. read more

After having an extremely bad experience with Monro auto service in Waterloo, NY and the corporate office , I found Mr. Tire on Google. I came across a representative name CJ. CJ was the best representative. He was attentive, understanding and patient. He offered to hear my concerns and gave me some ideas on what to do. I brought my car into the shop and there CJ was to receive my vehicle. He followed up and graciously assisted me every step of the way with my concerns. The one thing I do advice. NEVER NEVER purchase coverage from Monro Auto Center. Monroe Corporate office is the worst and they should be embarrassed. They need to have more people like CJ in corporate and at Monro centers. The woman who took my call at the corporate office was soooooo rude and disgusting. I do not know what the business relationship is between Mr. Tire and Monre, but if they are partners , I highly suggest for Mr. Tire to get involved in the hiring and training process for Monro's operations and Customer service. As a branding coach, its an embarrassment to be a part of Monro. I called two different Monro's centers before I contacted corporate. I feel bad speaking negatively about the representatives at Monro. You can see they lack proper training and education on logging into the system. If they don't upgrade the staff at corporate , their auto centers will not improve. The woman at corporate sounded like by 18 year old daughter. Literally didn't even know how to use proper terminology in the context of our conversation. The worse part about it was the attitude. She was straight ghettto .. NOT SAFE, EXPENSIVE, AND UNPROFESSIONAL Not sure where to begin. NONE of the front line workers dealing with the public wore face masks, though one worker coughed over the register (on the right ) 4 times within an hour. Only one of the five customers who entered the store wore masks. The worker who entered my car at least twice, did not wear a mask. I had to wipe down my car for safety as it was not offered by the store. I wanted a simple oil change as I had planned to take my wife's car there for brakes the next day. I wanted to check out the facility in advance for her. I was not concerned of the price of an oil change, but rather surprised it was $106.59 without anything added such cabin filters. This price was a full $30 more than I paid at Jiffy Lube and other specialty stores. While waiting I witnessed a man entering the store to get help with a tire with low air pressure (he said 22lbs). The clerk said they were busy and it would be perhaps a 4 hour wait. He suggested the man return tomorrow morning and air could be placed in his tire now but not repaired. The man first agreed, but then later said he would wait the time needed. In the meantime, my car was finished and was driven to the front door, and keys left on the counter. I walked up to the counter to pay and leave. The clerk ignored me, and instead called the man with the tire problem to the counter from where he was seated. While he was checking the paperwork for the man with the tire I asked, "when will the other guy be back". The clerk said, he didn't know and just wait my turn as he was working with the man who came in first. I told him he did not come in first. The clerk insisted that he did, to justify not waiting on me. I exclaimed you're lying, i was here first. This ended with the clerk, opening the door to the work area and asking my original clerk to come up to "get this guy out", He told me to not say another word, though he then claimed he told me to not shout. I would have liked to get an apology, as he should have realized that perhaps he got the timing wrong. But even if he thought the guy with the tire was next, common courtesy would have him say, "I'll get you next, after I write this ticket for this man". At least I would have been acknowledged. Yet, I should have known better, as he earlier disparaged the other clerk by saying to a customer he shouldn't have given you a free wheel alignment and throwing the paperwork next to the register in apparent disgust, when confirming the free wheel alignment was offered. Covid dangers, high prices, and bad behavior will stop me from coming here again anytime soon!! read more

wish i could leave zero stars. had to bring my car here as an in network place my claims company works with bc when i push my breaks my car shakes. that man at the front desk with the man bun looked me in my face and told me nothing was wrong and maybe my routers were a lil worn but nothing the claims company would fix. i had a gut feeling they were being lazy and didn't wanna deal with silver rock company( mind you this was my second day there so wasted time the first day in which i had to call them for an update an hour before they closed bc i didn't hear anything but i digress ). literally left there drove somewhere else and they said yea you need new breaks. got it approved by silver rock SAME DAY! i knew something was wrong. don't go here. they are lazy and will tell you anything to get you to leave so they don't have to work. read more

Brought in to get a slow tire leak fixed, they ended up scratching both of my rims during the repair and "multi point inspection". In addition, they failed to put back two of my tire caps and they left the plastic seat and steering wheel covers inside the car. The manager, instead of being apologetic, denied any wrong doing and had a rebuttal to every observation I pointed out. Total unbecoming approach for any business manager to have. The purpose of my observations was to make him aware so he can proactively correct these issues with future customers, but based on this interaction I can see why the bad reviews exist. read more

Everything was fine until they saw I brought my own oil, for an oil change and one dude whom I believe was the owner was super offended to the point where they didn't even tell me the details about my car. They treated me like I wasnt paying for any kind of service just because I brought my own oil. I remember him saying something like " hey when you go to the diner, do you bring the ingredients for them to cook your entree over there?" Pretty good joke, but horrible service. They didnt even refill my wiper fluid. I dont understand what the problem was still. Purchased tires online at tirebuyer.com and had them shipped to this installer. When calling to make an appointment, was told that I needed to drop my car off first thing in the morning and pick it up at the end of the day. When I explained that I had no means of transportation from the shop and would need to wait on site for my car, I was told that I could potentially be waiting all day for my car to be completed and they only schedule appointments with specific times for customers that purchase tires directly from the shop. Online purchases obtain a special discounted tire rate and these customers need to wait until they can be fit in throughout the day no matter how far in advance you schedule your "appointment". The person on the phone would not even allow me to call they day of my "appointment" to gauge how busy the shop would be so I had a better idea of when to bring my car. When working with tirebuyer.com, installers are required to offer appointments regardless of the purchase method, and needing to wait around at the shop all day until they are able to fit me in is not an "appointment". I will be taking my business to another installer that treats all customers equally, fairly, and most importantly professionally. Mr. Tire, you unfortunately lost my business before I even arrived at your shop, and I hope others find this feedback helpful prior to selecting their tire installer. read more

I thought it was strange considering after they told me the news, they called someone else telling them that their car needed more repair done. They are scammers and dishonest and I am shocked at how they handle this business. They try to act like they care about your safety but they just want your money. New tire he said would cost $70 dollars more than a second quote I received from a different tire retailer for same tire. I got the tire fixed for $25 at STS. I took my car there with a plat tire. They didn't find anything wrong with tire and charged me around 35 bucks for their service. And I took my car to another place, and you know what there is a puncture on the tire. Somehow Mr.Tire failed to find it. When I say there is a puncture on the tire, I looked at the air bubbles from the soup water on the tire personally. Cause I want to see for myself that there indeed is a puncture on the tire. I came outside this morning and discovered a flat tire. I went the 521 Stelton road location after making an on line appointment. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I had to buy an new tire but the turnaround time was quick and I was in and out in under an hour. Prices for the tire were in line with most carriers. Horrible experience . First they broke a tire sensor and a lug on the tire putting one of the four tires on.They lived up to the error and noted up to it on the bill, replaced the sensor but couldn't fix the lug on this same date. They then asked for me to return on a later date. Next visit I told them the tpms sensor has been going off and the lug prev boken would need to replaced. After 5 hrs they admitted to putting incorrect seals in the tpm sensors and stated they would not be responsible for the lug as it broke when they were taking the tire off not putting the tire on as previously stated and it was the previous installer "which is also Mr.Tire same location not that they knew that at this time " that was at fault. They stated that they couldn't fix the lug there because they didn't have anyone that could fix it at this particular location- Manager told me this. I had a distinct feeling that the manager was weaselling his way out of doing necessary repairs and liability. I had to bring the vehicle for a third time to a different Mr. Tire location for a job that should have been one and done. read more
