I was hoping it would be like that again after the epidemic. the focus appears to be now online interactive event services and it is far different then it once was. Apparently, there are those people who love the way it is now as according to recent reviews on their website but I miss the chance of actually going to events. I do not want to participate on virtual events online, I want to actually go to events. If I recall, there was another event planning service called Up & Out that has long gone but they had some major problems that led to apparently permanently closing the business from what I remember but cannot find any information about it anymore on the Internet.

I went to see a ballet for free the other night. All I had to do was print something out online. My tickets were already arranged and I had great seats, without any worry about whether or not my tickets would work (like some other companies...). Thinking myself super clever, I drove over there at 7pm. I'm an idiot. You need to park somewhere close at noon, & spend the day walking around, eating, & shopping. Otherwise, total traffic jam. Forget Uber, it's still a car, & you'll still be stuck in traffic. Best bet is MUNI, but even then you'll be walking a bit. If you want any chance of a seated viewing spot, again, arrive early, or prepare to stand in place & look up. Luckily, everyone has the same view. 2023 was magic, as the first time in a while Carl the Fog failed to appear. 90% of the people I met didn't have a clue how lucky they were this year because they didn't live here. I met folks from Fresno, Illinois, Columbia, Panama, Scotland, much etc. They were tourists who heard this was the place to be. And it was. Everyone I spoke to was happy they came here, not one complained about our San Francisco "Doom Spiral".

At the front, they will give you gloves to wear so that you don't leave fingerprints on the mirrors. For the toddlers, they also have rubber bands available to help keep the gloves on their hands, as they only have 1 size available. It's fun to try and navigate your way through the maze, arms outstretched so you don't accidentally headbutt anything, but at some point halfway through, when you have no idea which way to go and which way is out, it can feel a bit claustrophobic. We eventually made our way to the exit though, where they have a shadow camera for you to play around with.

It's one of those where you sit in the seats, and then the floor drops out from under you, and it is like you are flying over the city. The wind blows in your face, and when you were going over the water, you feel just a little bit of a spray. I don't want to give anything away, but it does take you all over the city. It was really a lot of fun. The only reason I'm taking off a star, is because the flyer ride is a bit expensive. It's $14 per person, adult or child. That wasn't too bad for myself, but if you are more than two or three people, it can add up. Regardless, it was well worth the money for myself to do. I wouldn't come back to see the same movie, but if they changed it, I would ride it again.. This ride is also part of the "San Francisco city pass. I had fun.. Thanks!

4++ Pretty new arena (as of 2026) that is primarily used as the home of the Golden State Warriors…read more I came here to watch a Nine Inch Nails concert on 3/15/2026. My brother, sister-in-law and nephew were going and I decided to get a last-minute ticket up in the nosebleeds. Typically I don't love going to really large shows and sitting at the very top, but I thought it would be fun to go with family. I'm sure my experience would be way different if I got in the premium areas. The sounds and visuals were still fun though. The new arena itself was pretty amazing. Pretty organized and great art around in different areas of the arena. Even though the place was packed, I still thought it was pretty easy to navigate around. It was also easy to find my seat. Would love to come back at some point to watch a Golden State Warriors game. I saw a game or two at the old Arena and would love to see how it would compare.

My daughter does not have quite as much interest in coin ops; however, she loved it as well. Imagine a museum where you get to touch and play with essentially everything. Located right next to Fisherman's Wharf, this place is a gem for tourists and locals alike. My…read morefriend had always wanted to go after seeing it in The Princess Diaries (although the museum was located at Cliff House back then), and we took a long walk from the Ferry Building all the way down to Pier 45 to check it out. Vintage games were as cheap as a quarter where you can play an old pinball machine, have a mechanical fortune teller spell out your future, or just watch some cute little carnival scenes. It was quite busy on a Saturday afternoon, and I enjoyed the energy of kids and adults alike running around from machine to machine. Go check it out!
