Looking around definitely made us rethink kicking our old expensive Natuzzi couches to the curb because the frames were so well built. Enter Jose and the Austin Furniture Upholstery Team. We tried two other upholstery shops and Austin Furniture Upholstery was the only shop that could match our original microfiber material at a reasonable price. The fabric was half the price of one of the other shops as well. They even made arm covers for the pieces as well Their pick-up & delivery fee was reasonable as well. One shop told me I would have to arrange someone else to pick-up the furniture. All that said, I highly recommend Jose and Austin Furniture Upholstery for your next upholstery job.

The owner continues to provide false information regarding my situation…read more He said he recommended the most firm cushion, but he actually recommended the cushion that was slightly less firm because it was less expensive and he said there wasn't much of a difference. The owner said I chose to run my debit card as credit when I came in to pay the final balance and that was false. I gave an actual credit card number to pay the first installment and I had no problem with the fee. When paying the second installment I handed the employee an actual debit card. How he chose to run it was his doing. I refused to pay a fee for running a debit card because it is illegal to charge. If the city if charging this company a fee for processing debit cards then the company needs to find out why that is happening. Doesn't make sense. Regarding the number of emails received daily and response time, I received quick responses when it came to making a sale, but then no response when I had concerns. It wasn't until I posted on Yelp that I received a response. This is my last update. It is clear that the owner, in this case, does not care about customer satisfaction after the sale and he continues to share information that is not correct. If his business is doing well despite my experience, good for him.

I was so ready to give this business a 5-star rating. They came and picked up our leather…read morerecliners, which needed new foam in the seat, back, and arms on Tuesday, 08/12/25. They said it would take a week to get them done. A week came and went, and we waited another week before we texted Jerry on 08/26/25 to check the status of the chairs. He said they would have them ready and delivered the following Thursday, 09/04/25, more than 3 weeks from the day they picked them up. Then, claiming a "busy schedule this week", Jerry asked if they could deliver them on Saturday, 09/06/25. Given all this, I was still willing to give them 5 stars because the chairs looked great when they delivered them. Unfortunately, after reclining in them for 2 days or so, we started to notice a lump in the back of one of the chairs. I contacted Jerry to inform him of the lump on 09/09/25. He said, "Will have to come by look at it but out of town till the 23". I have texted him twice, starting on 09/24/25, with no response. I think I have been more than patient with this company! So that is why I am giving them 1-star.
