He reconditioned the foam inserts, padded them with new material, and sewed new covers with a much higher-quality design than the original, being careful to overlock-stitch my prone-to-fray fabric. His shop is conveniently located just off of 620, and although there is obviously a steady stream of projects going in and out of his shop, it is clean and neat. I felt that his price was fair and competitive. My project was a fairly simple one, but it was finished in less than two weeks. We're very happy with the job.

When I first arrived with the chairs we went through the process of picking out the fabric for each set of chairs. I highly recommend Economy Upholstery and they are also very nice people to work with!

Great customer service initially. Needed cushions refilled…read morewith FIRM foam. Give samples that were many years old to choose from. Turn around time was great and I didn't mind paying more. Cushions were filled with foam that felt like what I had before. Emailed twice to share feedback and ask for suggestions. Ignored both times. Person who ran my debit card tried to illegally charge a fee for using a debit card and was quite argumentative. Initial fee for credit card was 4%. Most places charge 2-3%. You're not allowed to make money off cc fees. Overall, cannot recommend bc I didn't get what I paid for. Replies to business response: Would you like to clarify how old the samples were that I was given? I said I wanted something close to cement but with a little give. Given that the samples provided were so old (you stated his multiple times) I thought what I would receive would be much firmer. You also shared that the most firm sample wasn't much more firm than the one I chose so why pay the difference. Regarding payment, I absolutely used a credit card for the first payment. I had to ask for the breakdown as it was not provided by you initially. When I paid the remaining balance in person it was with a debit card. It IS illegal to charge a fee when paying with a debit card and I made the person checking me out fully aware so that hopefully you change your business practice so that a future customer doesn't report your business to the AG. I did not threaten you, your company, or the person who handled the final transaction. As far as questioning what could be done after having spent approx $350 on foam that wasn't any better than what I had previously, I was looking for communication, but after ignoring two emails I decided to write a review. Maybe try communicating with folks rather than ignoring them.
