As one can see by the sign, it is supported by several local businesses. Ironically, despite all the open spaces in our area, dog parks are hard to come by, so this one sure helps out locals who want a safe place for dogs to run around a bit. It is kind of off the beaten tourist path, but on the other hand is right off Route #1....so it is ideal for locals who need it. Cayucos consists of a beach community with houses right next to one another, so there is not much room to roam. You would think that dogs could roam along the main drag or on the lovely beach, but that is not a great idea for all kinds of reasons. As in our beach community of Pismo Beach, leash laws are enforced with a passion, and rightly so....since there have been all kinds of incidents with unpredictable pets. Of course, it goes without saying that dogs [& humans] can misbehave even in a dog park, so please do not bring dogs that do not get along with others. As far as the rest of Norma Rose Park is concerned, there is really not much too it beyond some open grass & basic bathrooms. If one is looking more for a stop over for a park with a playground or more, then one has to be on the ocean side of Cayucos, where there are at least three parks.

As I drive up a lady was on a scooter with her dog pulling up . She turned and looked at me as if she did not want anyone coming to HER park. I unloaded by dog who is friendly and doesn't bark and went on leash up to the chain length fence . Her dog and all four of the other dogs came up barking up to meet my dog and my dog was just standing there well behaved meeting the Aussie and poodle the dogs were all barking at my dog. This lady who came on the scooter said your dog is encouraging all the barking ( my dog was just standing quietly) So she said to me YOUR DOG IS ENCOURAGING BARKING. ITS BEST YOU KEEP GOING. What a big B----. Her dog and the other 4 dogs were very unruly and were the aggressors. My dog has gone to obedience training and has passed canine good citizen . Apparently rude aggressive people have rude aggressive dogs. Don't come her on Tuesday mornings you and your dog will be asked to leave, Keep an eye out lady on scooter and blue Honda element car with trunk up . Nasty rude B ----es and rude dogs.

Not only did we get to do a great winetasting at Justin Vineyards, but we also toured their beautiful vineyards beforehand on the back of some eBikes! I've been on a lot of winery tours. And while they're great, you're typically stuck indoors much of the time. It's so much more fun to be outdoors in the sun on a nice eBike getting a little exercise. Our eBike tour was curated by a winemaker from Justin, who led us through the acres of different varietals and gave outstanding insights about the process of making wine. eBikes are a great equalizer: you don't have to be a skilled rider or be in amazing shape to do it--you can ride with people of all ages and skill levels. The tour operators gave us bike and safety instructions before we started, provided helmets and sunscreen, and made sure that no one was left behind. After about 90 minutes of touring the vineyard trails (with frequent stops to learn about winemaking and a pit stop to taste their excellent Rose), we tasted the delicious wines on the Justin deck (tasting included in the eBike fee). It was a fantastic way to spend a morning in wine country--very highly recommended! (Note--I hear that VineCycle has signed up some other vineyards for their tours. Looking forward to trying them on my next trip to the area.)

At that point, in February, I asked for a refund no response. In early March I speak to a lady named Kat (someone told me she is the general manager); she assures me they'll send a check. Still nothing... Early April I am told they will send another check. Still nothing, and I am told they will call me to get my information to make an ACH transfer. Of course no one called me. I left another voice mail on Monday, April 28th and have not received any communication from anyone. Will I ever see a sail or my $655.- ?

The best…read moretime to visit the pier is spring and fall as there is less marine layer (fog) that comes ashore from the ocean -- although it's beautiful anytime of the year. The waves are generally small, which are good for beginning-intermediate surfers. Stand-up paddle boarders and kite surfers also enjoy this coastal playground area. The water temperature tends to be cool. The Cayucos Pier is a great place to see gray whales migrate along the California coast from Alaska to Baja California. The best time to see them is March and April. Being elevated on the pier helps in viewing the whales. One can also see other marine life such as elephant seals and sea lions, and on the north side of the pier are tide pools waiting to be discovered during low tide. Fishing from the pier without a fishing license is permitted. A large variety of fish and shellfish can be caught off various areas of the pier. At the foot of the pier, there is a beachside children's playground. Around the corner, there is a small skate park for skateboarding. Cayucos Pier includes amenities like outdoor showers, bathrooms, and within a short walk, eateries, and shops.

I followed up with an email including the confirmation number and received no response. I called again and was told to text the confirmation, which I did--still no reply. When I called once more, I was told he needed to be in front of a computer to process the refund--the same excuse I was given days earlier. It's now been quite a while, and still no refund. The website clearly states that cancellations made with 24 hours' notice are eligible for a refund. I gave four days' notice. This experience reflects very poor customer service and unprofessional business practices. It's unacceptable to take someone's money and fail to provide the service--or the promised refund. I would not recommend this business based on how this was handled.
