Based on recommendations, I phoned ahead to reserve 2.5 dozen bagels. I arrived at 10:30 am. The woman at the cash register was pleasant and the bagels I got were still warm. They smelled heavenly on the drive home. They are so good! Every bit as good as St Lawrence if not better. Montreal Bagels have less varieties from my former place, but they do have the basics, like plain, sesame, poppyseed, multi grain and everything and 2 specialty varieties; cinnamon raisin and blueberry. That covers the ones we like in our household. this place is cash only so be sure to come with cash. Parking is limited so be prepared to park off location. I was able to squeeze into a spot though.

The afternoon tea deal also came with a snack tower, the bottom consisting of savory sandwich bites, and the top two levels with pastries and sweets. The things that stood out to me were the lemon meringue, fruit tart, and the carrot cake (the cream cheese frosting was really tasty). Overall, this was a super cute and fun thing to try. The condensed milk was proportioned just right so not too sweet. We also ordered a bunch of pastries and savory bites! The spinach ricotta wrap was so delicious and flaky especially when warmed! I also loved the hazelnut filled cruffin!! Definitely plan to stop by again on my back to the airport.

Compared to what I received on previous visits, it was much smaller while the price stayed the same. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was that we felt we were treated differently from other customers. We are not German, and although I can't know the reason, the unusually small slice left us feeling unwelcome. I have enjoyed this bakery in the past, but after this experience I don't think I'll be returning. I hope the bakery treats every customer fairly and serves consistent portion sizes regardless of who they are.
