Bagelino's is a local bagel shop located in downtown Calgary! They make all their bagels fresh in house. I got the "Lotsa Lox" bagels which is a bagel with cream cheese, smoked salmon and onion. I also got the Chicago chicken which had mayo, chicken breast, ranch dressing and cheddar cheese. They offer a variety of bagels ranging from breakfast bagels, pizza bagels and lunch bagels. They also have a drink menu serving coffee, teas, lattes and etc. Their online menu is accessible on their website. The shop itself is small, cozy and inviting. The bagels are delicious! Fresh, soft and chewy! Flavour of the smoked salmon was SOO good. Chicken was not over cooked! The ranch combined with mayo complimented the chicken very well. It was so good I went back and bought 12 more bagels! Def recommend! read more

The single worst bagel I've ever had and its not even close. I am partial to NY or Montreal style but this was pathetic. THEY CHARGE $7.50 FOR A BAGEL AND CREAM CHEESE and they told me they only had one type of bagel when I arrived to the empty place after they had been open for an hour. I dont think they toasted it (didnt ask either) and provided me the most flavorless bagel I've ever had in my entire life. If you charge $3 for it, whatever, thats on me and its about convenience. But they should be arrested for charging over $7 for that trash. Thats the first time in my entire life I didnt finish a bagel. I threw it out and went to another spot. read more

Extremely overpriced. 6$ for a bagel with cream cheese? Seriously? That's ridiculous. I got a sesame bagel with bacon, egg and cheese and it costs me almost 9$. I was expecting this bagel to be pretty loaded as I'd spent 9$ for an entire meal most other places...nope...could barely see the egg or anything. Very light portions for the high price. Look at the picture to see yourself. Also, I got a large mocha, and it costs me 6.25. Maybe the most I've paid for a coffee at a bagel place EVER. Bagels were fine. Won't be returning. What is wrong with this place: 1. The bagels are WORSE than your basic hotel breakfast buffet bagel. 2. Clueless counter girl took forever to help me - then charged me $2.50 PER bagel for two plain bagels (no slicing/no butter/no cream cheese/no toasting/ no nothing) placed in a bag. I LOVE Bagelino's, their bagels are authentic, chewy, taste fresh (because they are) and just overall delicious. They also make the super trendy and very instagramable rainbow bagels which I picked up on my last visit, they will usually post on social media when they will be making them and then they ask that you pre-order and pay ahead of time. They don't have a minimum order though so if you just want one bagel that's totally cool. The rainbow bagels also come with funfetti cream cheese which is sweeter than your usual cream cheese and turn the bagel into more of a cake/dessert situation. So good! I loved the bright colours and the sweet cream cheese topped with super fun sprinkles, made me feel like a kid tucking in to lunch. Usually when I visit I get the jalapeno bagel with plain cream cheese and pair it with soup for dipping. Soup of the day changes but it's usually pretty good, my ultimate favourite is the butter chicken soup - seriously so good! read more

I pre-ordered online and got a text the same evening confirming my order and pick-up time. I was very impressed! I ordered the rainbow bagels and a few other varieties. The rainbow bagels were great with the funfetti cream cheese! The bagels have no preservatives, which is great. You just have to put them in the freezer if you want to have them for another day. Once upon a sunny Saturday morning. I was with my good friend and we were really craving a pizza bagel. Specifically pizza bagel. Calgary, Alberta in general, lacks the ability to make a decent bagel. So I search up Calgary bagels, call up this Bagelino's jigg, and low and behold! They provide bagels!! my friend and I make the trek. We order. They're out of the everything bagel. That's all my friend wanted. So she settles for another type of bagel, we wait - I kid you not. Fourty. Five. Minutes. Sitting in our chairs. Starving. Oh. Backtracking. We also ordered an earl grey latte. Back to real time - were sitting wondering how much longer it's gonna take to get our bagelino's. There's only one other shawtie in there with us, what's the stitch??? Finally. Bagels come out. We wait another couple minutes. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm - where's my latte . So I ask and them where my latte is - they forgot. Classic bagelino's. After we finally get everything we ordered (wasn't that much, wasn't that hard ) we finally get to dig into our pizza bagels. Bagelino`s has been kicking around Calgary`s downtown core for awhile. I remember frequenting the Bagelino`s on the corner of 4th and 4th for years, before it disappeared and for me, "miraculously" cropped up again on 8th Ave and 7th Street. Seeing that I am watching my waistline a bit, I dont indulge often at Bagelino's, since bagels are a healthy choice, but not a diet-friendly choice. Today, I succummed to Bagelino`s because they had a board out on the sidewalk advertising Tomato Soup as the special. Tomato Soup is one of my favorites, so I was drawn in. For lunch today, I did enjoy the delicious, homemade Tomato Soup, and I also got a whole wheat vegetarian bagel sandwich. Over the years, I have tried different sandwiches there, and they have never disappointed me. This restaurant has recently been bought and sold and is under new management. As a result, I have seen no change for better or worse in quality. The bagel sandwich I had today was consistent with the whole wheat bagels of previous owners and location. Finding it and driving downtown almost made me late for a vacation tour but it was worth it. So good.

I LOVE their homemade bagels. However the service and manager are less than satisfactory... I have this app to collect points from downtown businesses. I work downtown and often share my experiences and try and support local. However I showed the staff this app (correct name and address) and they didn't recognize it so called owner "Paul". Paul told me the app uses them as an "example" and they do not give points away for anything... which is fine. However he was not courteous and could have handled the situation different. It's not my fault the app was listed and in use.. he could have thanked me for letting him know of the issue. Great bagels- bad service. I feel bad giving such a low rating because this place is so popular on social media, but honestly it was just really bad. I only tried the rainbow bagels with funfetti cream cheese- which is the reason theyre famous on social media. I pre ordered 6 rainbow bagels with one tub of the cream cheese ($35) and was told to pick up the bagels anytime between 7-4. I work 8:30-5 normally so I popped in bright and early at 7:30. You would think these would be the freshest bagels in the world because it's so early. What I got was the Most driest bagel I have ever encountered- it makes be believe these bagels were actually frozen and thawed and sold to me, not freshly made. They they so dry they were inedible. I literally ate half of one, thought it might just be the one, so I made another one and it was just as bad so I threw the rest out- such a waste of money and so disappointing. The funfetti cream cheese was good tho- but for the price and hype and for only the cream cheese to be good?!? Sorry but one star. read more

I finally found the best Bagel shop in Calgary! Their bagels are made fresh daily throughout the day so you get fresh warm soft yummy bagel all the time. You need to come early as they close at 4 pm (weekdays) and during the weekend which is a bummer. The owner, Paul, is very friendly and the service is really good. They always make me feel welcome -almost like coming back home. I love their onion and garlic bagel as well as the cinnamon one. read more

I hadn't been to Bagelino's in years and years- in fact I think my last visit was in 2001 when I still lived in the apartment tower at 8/8 SW. I never liked it, found the bagels strictly supermarket quality with no character, but something drew me in the other day and I got two poppyseed ones to take away. I was quite impressed- the style of bagel isn't Montreal style and thank goodness for that as I don't care for Montreal bagels unless they're ridiculously fresh. I wouldn't call the NY bagels either- they're on the large and fluffier side, but the bottoms of the bagels were gloriously dense and chewy; I wish the entire bagel had been this toothsome texture. If you want a bagel, you want to indulge, right? I ordered an Everything Bagel with Fresh Dill cream cheese ($7) and a side of Lox ($5). What I got was a bland flavourless bagel, the skimpiest layer of cream cheese with what I suspect is freeze-dried dill, and enough lox to put a single layer on 3/4 of my bagel. My friend's bagel had such a thin layer of cream cheese that the bread was visible in patches. The company is cheaping out and it's going to hurt their business. People want to have the option of TAKING OFF excess cream cheese if it's too heavy for their preference, but they can't change a poorly and cheaply dressed bagel. For the price, I will not return and I will not recommend. read more

I liked the texture of Bagelino's bagels, but I found that dough needed a bit more salt. Perhaps this is just a matter of taste. Breakfast sandwiches were reasonably priced, but I'm not sure about the lunch ones. Also, this is more of a bagel sandwich kind of joint than a buy-bagels-by the dozen kind of place. I was super pumped for bagelino's....great staff, cute shop...but when I got back to my office ready to enjoy my hearty veggie sandwich, I was disappointed to find there were no sprouts or advocado...and I only had two options for bagels...C'mon..It's a bagel shop! And I paid $7.35 for a bagel with only tomato, cucumber and lettuce. Sad to say, this my was my first and last stop at Bagelino's... Urban Bean up the road is also an independent shop, with good food and great prices. I think I'll take my lunch time hunger there. read more
