First spotted Mr. Porkys at the farmer's market in the shoppes. Decided to try their Brisket burger, with fries on the side, as everyone states the prices are fair for the quality of the meat. Took about 5 minutes to get my order and man oh man when I opened my box, I saw the steam blow out and the amount of fries, mmhhmm it looked great! Got a lot of fries on the side, with a side of BBQ and the main even was the loaded Briskte burger! It was super flavorful, loaded with grilled onions and BBQ, the brisket was soft, and delicious! Buns were steamy and it all just made sense. The food truck look pretty bright as well, grabs people attention for sure! My experience was great, prices were fair, and the quality was 5/5 stars. The cashier was pretty cool as well, had a nice talk with em while I waited. Over all a good experience and will come here whenever I feel like having me some brisket! read more

Always understaffed. The food is good, but the wait is awful and not worth it. Every time I come here, the line takes forever. Today I waited about 10 minutes just to order, even though I was first in line and there was only one person behind me. That's ridiculous. Not as good as I was e expecting for the price. The oil was gross and even tasted used. The brisket bomb didn't even taste like hot Cheetos. It basically tastes like oil. Also they charge a $1 to use a card which is a bit ridiculous. They also up charged us for what we wanted versus what we though the price would Be from the menu. So overall a bad experience. I should start by saying that as someone raised on authentic KC-style barbecue... I know I have high standards. Southern California is not well known for is barbecue. I drove about a 1/2 hour to the outdoor promenade food market, in a big Chino Hills shopping center hoping to finally find good BBQ. I didn't find it. The meat on the sandwich I ordered was dry, overly seasoned with pepper (but little else), small-portioned, pulled & not sliced brisket. The biggest mistake they make is adding mozzarella cheese to a barbecue brisket sandwich. That's an ABSOLUTE no-no and TRUE CONNOISUERS of barbecue would NEVER DO THAT! The proprietor of Mr. Porky's is a very nice young man, but he tries to be too cute with his menu. He menu includes offerings of a plate of French fries or a baked potato with shredded brisket. What does he think he is doing... serving Mexican nachos for goodness sake! I've eaten authentic barbecue over 300 times in famous and traditional BBQ restaurants, gas stations y BBQ joints in TX, TN, KY, MO, AL, LA. IL, FL, MS, NC, SC... and every other place known for good barbecue and NEVER ONCE did anyone put cheese on a barbecue sandwich. I was charged $21 for a handful of French fries without any seasoning on them and a 6" sandwich that, according to the owner, contained "between 1/4 and 1/3 of a pound of meat." The bag that contained my food did not even offer a single napkin. That's NOT a good value for a food truck product, especially since the meat was so dry! Instead of offering 25% more food for 25% less money... and making an absolute killing in volume, the owner has a price structure that is WAY OUT OF LINE. Bottom line... don't go to Mr. Porky's... it's not even fairly good AUTHENTIC barbecue and pretty amateurish presentation at best. Total disappointment. My search for good barbecue in SoCal continues... but I'm not very optimistic I'll find it anymore. read more
