It's a little pricey so I don't come here all the time but with that said when I'm in the mood for some pho this is definitely at the forefront of my mind and usually the only. The people are very friendly and kind. I'm not too keen on bright lights so the interiors darker colors are more appealing. Other than that it reminds me of being back on the island. Having lived near or in, two of the largest Vietnamese communities in the USA (Houston and Westminster/Garden Grove) and also, have traveled to Ho Chi Minh City. I think I have had my share of good and also bad Pho. With that said. The Pho here at Mr Pho was very delicious and made in the style of southern Vietnam. The star of the soup was the fragrant broth, that had a good depth of flavor from all the aromatic spices used in the making of this almost clear but flavorful broth. The noodles were plentiful and perfectly cooked with a nice chew to them. The selection of meats were good, I was just missing the rare beef. I personally would have liked maybe a bit more of the green and white onion in the bowl of soup. Maybe more than a single slice of jalapeño and a little cilantro would have help also, but I was glade they were generous with the Thai basil. Now that is just my preference for a perfect bowl of Pho. I did appreciated the variety of additional hot chili sauces on the table. I also tried the summer rolls. They were okay, but for me personally I thought they were on the bland side, could have use some kind of fresh herb such as Thai Basil, cilantro, or fresh mint in the roll. The peanut sauce served with rolls was nice and added a positive element to the dish. I also tried the Chargrilled Pork Banh Mi. First off the bread was very close to a true Vietnamese baguette with a crispy outer crust yet light and airy on the inside. The chargrilled pork was very flavorful, delicious and there was an abundance of meat. The pickled carrot and radish were also spot on crispy and lightly pickled to perfection . As a whole I thought the sum of all the ingredients of this Banh Mi made for a very cohesive and delicious sandwich. For my personal taste I would have like maybe a little smear of mayonnaise or pate or both to make it perfect. The place was clean. Service was adequate. I got there at around 11:00 am and it was almost completely full by 11:30 am on a Tuesday. All and all I had a good meal and will I diffidently will be back and highly recommended this place. read more

Stop by for an early lunch and was either craving a bowl of pho of their bo kho (Vietnamese beef stew). I ended up getting the bo kho with a side of French bread to dip with the broth. Broth was decent, but wasn't flavorful as I like. it wasn't too salty either, which was good. The beef was very tender as well. The veggies that came with the soup was not fresh at all, it was brown like it was left out for a while. I did try their summer roll and it was not good to me. Sweet drinks: passion fruit juice and boba milk tea! Lastly the pad Thai was beyond yummy. I got the combination pad Thai. The owners were so sweet and they clean right after cooking every meal. I highly recommend stopping by Mr Pho on your lunch break, for a delicious dinner, or for a boba to go. We started with an order of pork spring rolls. The pork was chargrilled to perfection and booming with flavor. Mixed with the crunch of lettuce and cucumber and the soft vermicelli noodles, it was a wonderful bite. As they brought out the pho with flank steak, fatty brisket and meatballs, the aromatics from the broth filled our table. Everyone's mouth was watering to dig in. The broth was rich and packed with delicious flavor. The meat, rice, onion, herbs, and cilantro looked and tasted amazing. It is served with a side of sprouts, basil cilantro, limes, and jalapeños to add to your liking. The size options are medium and large. They are very substantial portions. No one at our table finished a medium. Our children shared the steamed rice with chargrilled pork. I couldn't help but reach over and sneak a few more pieces of pork even though I had some in the spring roll. My son got a bahn mi sandwich and said it was really delicious. I love boba so we got a milk tea boba to go. The boba was cooked well. The tea is on the sweeter side but tasty if you don't mind some extra sugar. The strawberry tea had a lot of fresh strawberries inside. It was a refreshing sip on a hot day. We will definitely be back to try some more delectable dishes soon! read more

Second time I cameback in less than a week, food was amazing, from Pho to appettizer to Vietnamese coffee. I originally from San Jose California, born and raised in Vietnam, so I've got to exposed to lots of GOOD and High Quality Pho, with the expectation in Panama City I'll not find a good Vietnamese spot out here. Store ambition is great, with decorations of Vietnamese phrases, TShirts that shows Vietnamese Cult. The staff seemed friendly and the place is kept clean. Well decorated, food didn't take long to get and seems organized. The bean sprouts and basils were fresh. Lemons were hard and little juice, could be old. Get seated right away as it was not busy. The spring rolls are greasy and not crispy (you get 2 for just under $5) Beef with veggies stir fry Comes with rice (for just under $14) I think it was good not too salty which is fine with me. That being said, I had better at Panda Express at the Houston Airport first thing in the morning. So.....I don't know what to say here lol. Mi bo kho (just under $14) The carrots are quite hard and same with the berm chunks. This dish is to stew for a long time on low for that soft fall and carrots should too. There's only 2 things in this dish. It was cooked too fast on high. This is one of my favorite dish and after this experience, I just want to demand my family to cook an entire pot for me lol. The 3 colors dessert was the most disappointing very very little of the beans or jelly, it should be more filled. Also, it didn't taste like coconut milk base more like water. If they did use coconut milk, that's extremely diluted 4 to 1 water to coconut milk. Didn't have that creaminess from coconut milk. I think it's OK if this is the only place in the area but I've had better. I feel like all the dishes are light in taste, little fragrance and little amount of meat given. TLDR: Pho, tofu over rice, and egg rolls are a must try here! Service: Waitress was very nice and attentive. We got there right before supper so we were immediately seated. Pho: tender meat, good broth and noodles, and fresh vegetables to add (Thai basil, jalapeño, cilantro, bean sprouts, and lime). Tofu over rice: Seasoned and grilled small triangular cuts of tofu. Nicely seasoned. I do wish that they were fried just for a slightly better texture, but that's just a me thing because textures bother me sometimes. They were small enough that the pieces weren't too soft though like tofu sometimes is. I used the variety of condiments on the table to add seasoning to my rice as it was just plain white rice on the side. My party of 4 others agreed that the tofu was delicious. Boba: Milk tea with tapioca pearls. Tea was delicious. However, some of the boba was undercooked and had a "bite" to it still. I would rather they be slightly under instead of over and a gelatinous blob but it is still something to note. Sesame Chicken: Sauce was a little sweet but good. Starters: spring rolls, egg rolls, and pan-fried dumplings were all good. I do wish that the spring rolls had more veg in them than just lettuce though. read more
