I stopped by China One on 23rd Street, and honestly, this was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had with a takeout spot. The place itself felt extremely outdated--more like a basic hole-in-the-wall--and the small lobby already had one customer ordering and another waiting. The issues started right away. The customer ahead of me waited 30 minutes just to receive her food, and the person already waiting in the lobby had been sitting there for quite a while. When it was finally my turn, I placed an order for sweet and sour pork with fried rice and an egg roll. I waited 15 minutes, and when I asked about my food, the woman at the counter repeatedly and rudely told me "it's coming." Another 20 minutes passed. Same answer. No updates, no apology, nothing. After a total wait of about 40+ minutes, my food finally came out--and the egg roll was cold. I left annoyed, frustrated, and unimpressed. Between the lack of customer service, the unprofessional interaction, the long wait times, and the subpar food, I cannot recommend this place for dining in or takeout. China 1 is your typical Chinese food joint. All menu items are pretty much like the rest of them. I will say this spot makes delicious soup, especially their hot and sour. It has plenty of mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and tofu chunks. The broth is very flavorful. I always ask for my dishes to be made extra spicy. The lady there laughs and says, ooo you like it spicy! She makes it perfect. It is our go-to takeout here in Panama City. read more

Just your typical Chinese joint in a strip shopping center, but the lady that waits on you is great and cheerful. Even offers you hand sanitizer. And the food so far has been very good. Everything seem freshly made. Plus my past orders have always been correct. Some takeout places just can't seem to get the orders correct, so when you get home...Surprise!! I called back at 2 they were open lady on phone argued with me and said no there website says 12pm. I told her no it's say 10am. Told her they need to change/fix it she said no it's correct. Tried several times to order delivery Chinese food and was told I had to order delivery. If I'm going to go pick up the food, I will go to the grocery store and do my own cooking. I really hate that there is no more Chinese delivery. I am OK with pizza but, was really wanting some Chinese delivery food. I have given up on even looking for or ordering Chinese food anymore. Don't know what has happened but, I love Chinese food but, I'm going to have to move on. Good thing I love Papa John's. Food is tasty and fresh. We ordered 5 items and every dish was excellent. The owners were very friendly. $6.55 lunch special is a bargain (entree + rice + canned soda). While the couple there is very cordial, the food leaves a lot to be desired. In fact, my friend and I ordered two very different chicken entrees based on the menu description, we both got the same thing, same sauce, same vegetables, same chicken, different rice, and packaged differently. typical lazy weekend not wanting to cook my girlfriend and i wanted Chinese the other night but the dumb cov19 keeps shutting everything down early. anyway we order expecting your typical Chinese. but i apparently didn't realize i ordered the cut up chicken breast with a side of shit bbq and broccoli, i shit you now. I COULD HAVE JUST THREW A CHICKEN BREST ON THE GRILL DICED IT UP MICROWAVED SOME BROCCOIE AND THREW SOME SHITTY BBQ ON IT. but thats not why im writing this, i called and asked if i could just get my money back for the meal, not a bug deal i just didn't want because i eat fairly healthy and i wanted Chinese not bbq chicken meal prep. its when he told me i couldn't get my money back after i told him i wasn't going to eat the terrible looking supposedly burbon chicken,, and i would be writing a bad review. not fucks given! wont be going back here ever dont get the burbon chicken it will make you sad af. read more
