The staff were getting busy when we arrived after a show at the citadel but they were quick and made sure to still check on us frequently. Waters were never empty and our food came out promptly after we ordered. I was immediately drawn to the fermented purple corn drink (Ponche De Chicha) which was so delightful! Fruity but not over powering. A nice amount of ice and an interesting pineapple garnish to go with an interesting drink. We were also very eager to try the brussel sprouts, which were absolutely amazing! Brussels Sprouts Elote: honey glazed Brussels sprouts and drizzled with that chipotle lime aioli, and so much feta cheese. Plus I believe a portion of sales of this dish goes to the food bank. Always love supporting a good cause while enjoying good food. To finish it off we had to dip into the dessert menu and get the Sticky pudding. The sauce divine and I wished for a smidge more. A touch over salted but still delightful. I still stand by my review 7 years ago this place gets the full 5 stars!

We got seated at our table and then we waited...and waited...and waited... So the manager came by and asked us if we need anything and I replied, "Yeah a server." Apparently there was a mix up with communication and whose table was whose. It is gorgeous inside. Very sexy. Plush benches, silver tones, and blue lights. This would be a great place to be seen after a hockey game or something. Finally with our fixed menu in hand and some water. The manager asked us if we would like the wine paring for no extra charge. What a fabulous gift! We started out with the black truffle and brie aranchini. This is super rich and flavourful. Great texture on the outside and creamy goodness on the inside. My husband and I got one of each of the salads - Wedge and Ceasar. The portions were massive, so I am glad I got the wedge. I could pack it up and it was fresh and crisp the next day. Dressings on both of them were excellent I got the black sesame ahi tuna and my husband got the petite filet. Both were excellent but if I wanted to finish dessert I would have to get this packed for home. Finaly onto dessert my husband got the chocolate peanut butter bar, while I went with the strawberry pavlova. Both were fine, but the peanut butter bar was super rich. The wine pairings were excellent. Great place, even better when you have a super deal.

It was a bit too much for me, but we can't all like the same things. I think the staff might have recommended we not order two mashed potatoes, but otherwise service was sufficient and relatively attentive. Attention was given to my gf dietary needs, but no attempt at a gluten free bread was made, as has been done a similar high end establishments. Our waitress nearly gave our meal to another table, but fortunately was intercepted by another server. We arrived at 5:30 and got our meals at about 7:00. The ambiance was reminiscent of a high end pizza place- large marble topped tables to shout across. My lamb was a bit under done, but that was okay since I had allowed for that. I've had better lamb in my own home, but I admit I'm not a fan of char as the main flavour. It was very attractively plated and I liked most of the vegetables that shared the plate, excepting perhaps, one or two pieces of bitter greens. My two companions enjoyed their meals, both having ordered filet. The three of us wound up spending about $300.00, tip included.

I am please to say the food - which is always good, matched the service which this time was also good. We had a really great server. I like this type of menu where there was enough to choose from, but not to little to feel like you don't have a choice but not too much that it is hard to choose from all the selections. We split a bunch of menu items - steelhead crudo with Thai basil, citrus, chili, olive oil, apple bison tartare with tamari ginger vinaigrette, sesame, dashi cracker beets with goat cheese custard, pears, pistachio, tarragon vinaigrette tagliatelle, lamb sausage, smoked tomato, rapini polenta the posset and the chocolate dessert We also enjoyed a bottle of Merlot Food was excellent. The stand outs were the steelhead crudo and the beet salad. The steelhead crudo was beautiful and shining like jewels on the plate. And the beet salad was the same. I would highly recommend these two dishes. However, there wasn't a bad dish at all. I think that you won't go wrong here with the food.

First off, the rooftop patio is so gorgeous, they have turf up there, screens everywhere including a big huge screen and tons of seating. Inside the icehouse is more seating, so much seating that you're sure to find a spot. We came early before the game to grab our pick of seats and we had perfect seats near the big screen TVs inside the main floor. There are even couches there too if you just want to drink and not eat it's a comfortable spot. The staff and service are top notch here. Even with the overwhelming amount of seats and tables, the staff is so great at making sure our needs were met. They are friendly and interactive and it was a great experience. For food and drinks, we got some of the game day specials including beer and mountain joe (which is a local coffee / vodka beverage and is super tasty!!) we also ordered the steak bites which are delicious and come out piping hot. We also got the nachos which were pretty loaded with stuff and layered so you didn't end up with just a bunch of chips at the bottom which was nice. The fans here are also great to be around, no fights, lots of security too, and if you want to treat yourself, for $30 or $40 you can go into the Ice room! In there they provide you with canada goose parkas, and there is a bar made out of ice along with a throne chair for your instagram selfies. You get a choice of 6, 0.5oz shots of vodka. There are a ton of different vodka's to choose from as well so that is such a fun treat and experience. I would recommend this for someone who maybe is visiting Edmonton and wants that "winter vibe" without the commitment of all the snow outdoors hahaha. Overall I would definitely come back here again for another game day, birthday celebration, or just for some awesome fun patio vibes.
