    Business hours~ (October 2021)

First time being back at this chain after the rebrand. Looks like they've gone upscale. Parking is available in the nice large strip mall lot. The feel is casual family style dining at a reasonable price with a sports bar type area if one desires. Similar to White Spot. Lots of dark wood panelling. Special mention to the electrical sockets they've installed. Not only do most (possibly all) tables have a socket, but every socket has 2 USB plugs as well. See photo. Staff were friendly and professional. No complaints. I tried their bacon mushroom Mikeburger. This (the Mikeburger) was their flagship product before the rebranding, and I still have plenty of memories eating them back then. The biggest difference between the old and new versions is they've changed the shape of the bun. It's now a half sub(?) instead of a traditional hamburger bun. But otherwise, it tastes pretty much exactly the way I remember it. The fixings were plentiful and fresh. Special mention for the garlic parmesan fries. Be sure to get this option. Happy hour here is 1400-1700 and 2100 to closing daily (2000 to closing on Thursdays). Great for some cheaper beer and cocktails. My friends and I tried several appies. All were tasty. Chicken strips - 5 pieces. Decent size. Comes with dipping sauce. Lobster dunk - tortilla chips with a lobster cheese dip. Quite tasty. Crispy panko shrimp - 24 breaded and battered prawns. Comes with tangy cocktail sauce and lemon slice. To be honest I was pleasantly surprised with the feel of their new theme. The ambience is nice and the food is delicious. My friends and I all decided we will be back at some point. Recommended.

This is the first time having Mr. Mike. I was not sure what to expect. I have passed by Mr. Mike many times when I was in Terrace or in Chilliwack and I always wonder about their food. My friend from Prince Rupert would drive to Mr. Mike for celebration and I asked her that time about the food. She told me it was delicious. We were a group of 6 people and we initially had a reservation to have Korean food in the same plaza as this Mr. Mike. Unfortunately, the Korean restaurant in the same plaza had really bad management and after 1 hour our table was not ready. Because Mr. Mike was just in front of it, I went on OpenTable to make a reservation at 8 pm ish. I am so glad I got to try Mr. Mike. The food was very delicious. We showed up at 8ish and we were starving. It was close to happy hour so we decided to order something small to share and then at 9 happy hour items to share. I got the classic Mike burger to share with my friend and we got the following to share amongst 6 people: -garlic fries -panko shrimp -lobster dunk -chicken tenders I am super amazed on their food. Everything was super delicious. Everything was made fresh. Portion size was pretty good. B got a steak sandwich and I had a piece of his steak. I was amazed how tender it was. This place is very solid Service was great. Social distancing is in place. There are free parking in front. Everything was great at this restaurant. I love the vibe. I have also noticed that at every booth, they have charging outlet. They are definitely living in the future.

We stopped by for dinner with a group of friends. Our server was definitely one of the better servers I have had in awhile. He was on top of refilling water cups, dropping off extra napkins, grabbing extra dipping sauces, and clearing dirty plates. I ordered a filet mignon traditional style with the mash potatoes, and fresh veggies. I should have asked the bacon peppercorn sauce to be on the side. I am not a big sauce person and found it to be too much for my liking. The steak was made medium rare as requested. The rest of the meal was good. I liked how you could customize your steak order and there were many options. I have not been to a Mr Mikes and was pleasantly surprised at the meal experience. I would return to try other items as the restaurant is great for large groups.

Very few fries and half the sandwich. If this is what the portion is for take out, it definitely not worth it.

I tried to give Mr. Mikes an opportunity to redeem themselves. So I used the gift cards management gave me to hopefully have a better experience. This time I ordered take out. I agree that take out won't exactly have the exact same quality as dine-in however, there are a few flaws here that I hope a restaurant of this standard wouldn't have made. Yet they did. It's common knowledge to have fish and chips take out in a well ventilated container so that it doesn't go soggy by then time you take it home. That wasn't the case. I also cannot understand how you would serve this with only a few pieces of fries? And the amount of coleslaw was just enough for garnish and nothing more. My partners beef dip, was just average and wasn't sure if take only meant only half the beef dip. And also, did they have to be so stingy with the fries again? Completely disappointing. We've been coming here for years and it definitely is not the same as it was as far as quality. At this point I think they've proved to me they aren't worth the effort or my money. More than happy to find other comparable places with a more consistent level of quality. Ie. Browns Social House, Cactus Club etc.

Had mixed experiences with this restaurant so decided to give it another try since it's late afternoon and the Keg doesn't open until 5pm. The restaurant was pretty empty when we walked in but we were seated after a few minutes: besides being seated promptly, everything else were at a Sunday drive speed. Could've taken a nap in between everything. Here were what we ordered; 1. Stuffed shrooms. A bit too runny and with a light sour taste to it so not a big fan of this one, had better ones at other places. 2. Hot lobster dunk. I don't know if it's me or it was better before. Still decently okay 3. kickass chicken salad. The grilled chicken was as dry as the Sahara desert and everything were a mess like it got ran over by a tornado. More like a poorass salad. 4. Filet mignon 7oz traditional style with sides of sautéed mushrooms, Oscar's lobster and seafood topper and side of gravy. Honestly no exaggeration, the filet steak was one of the worse steak I ate in a long time, it tasted powdery! The sautéed mushrooms... sigh! The Oscar's lobster and seafood topper another sigh. Total failed! Overall, it wasn't the most wow late lunch and Kind of disappointed. Now I know why I don't frequent this place much. Most certainly needs to be more organized and step up its service and food quality.

We love it here! Everything is always great from the staff to the food n drinks! The restaurant is always clean & there are many tables to choose from

Really good service, reasonable prices, and good food. Obviously, have the steak (or ribs, or chicken)!! I ordered the steak salad and they forgot to put the dressing on the side, like I asked. But they gladly re-did the whole dish and apologized way too much. The ambiance is casual and friendly. Big selection on their menu. Worth coming again. Usually less busy and easier to get a table, compared to other nearby restaurants.

It was normal lemonade but with lychee popping boba and that was a clever combo. I'd probably get there way earlier next time to avoid the rush but it was a good place to satisfy many different cravings from multiple people. This ribs and spaghetti special was very reasonably priced at $19.99. I'm giving 4 stars (4.5 if I could) because operations could have run a bit smoother for how long we waited for Sana while she was running around. I can't tell whether it's the kitchen or what, but a table nearby got their chicken wings appetizer at the same time as their meals. Some of the plates could also be plated more attractively - that turkey dinner looks a little sad. Our booth for five people was very comfortable and bathroom was clean.

Included is a Summer Corn salad, choice of entree, and daily dessert. I made a reservation for my Mom and I for Wednesday evening at 7pm and the restaurant was quite empty though golf course was buzzing. Pro tip: There is free parking in front of the restaurant but it's also for the golf course and is pretty busy even on a Wednesday after 7pm so plan accordingly as street parking is a bit far away. We ordered the mussels as an additional appetizer in white wine broth and also each ordered the $45 menu. We both selected the Oven Roasted Beef Striploin and for dessert there was a choice of cheesecake with caramel sauce, cinnamon cheesecake, and black forest cake. My Mom chose the black forest cake and I ordered the cinnamon cheesecake. The mussels appetizer dish was quite generous in quantity for $23 and mussels were a good size. Served with 2 slices of toast, the white wine sauce was more watery than other places but still decent. For the $45 course, the Summer Corn salad comes with artisan greens, feta, carrot, radish, tomato, red onion, orange vinaigrette. This was a refreshing light start to the meal and we both really enjoyed it. For the slow roasted beef striploin, it was served with asparagus and bell peppers, mash potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, and a red wine demi. The beef striploin was lean but not tough and was super trendy and juicy. Yorkshire pudding, which I'm usually not a fan of, was really warm and soft. Overall, a really solid dish that was generous in portion. Dessert was also solid for both the cinnamon cheesecake and black forest cake. We barely finished the dessert and both of us had leftovers of our entree to take home as we couldn't finish our food. Great value for a 3 course $45 meal for today's economy and the service was really friendly and warm.

The restaurant itself is moderately sized, but they were able to accommodate our party of 12. Restaurant was very dimly lit; most of the light was coming from the setting sun. The menu had as many choices as a typical White Spot. Prices were reasonable, but entrees could be upgraded which could cause prices to escalate if you weren't prudent. For example, I ordered the steak but got the lobster upgrade which raised the price by 30%. And, it was the lower-grade Caribbean lobster instead of the much juicier Atlantic lobster. It took a long time for the food to begin arriving. But, we did have a larger party that night. But, after a long wait, all our food arrived almost all at once. Presentation was good, and portion size was adequate. My steak was medium rare even though I had requested rare. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals, and a few were unable to finish their food. Service was only okay. If they weren't taking your order or delivering your food, you didn't see much of the staff. And, the restaurant wasn't exactly busy either. We did ask a server to take a group photo of our table, and they happily obliged. I'd skip the round of golf and go straight to the restaurant.

Linguine Pescatora was full of seafood (shrimps, mussels, clams, scallops, and calamari) in a light spicy tomato sauce. We were given a few small pieces of bread with some thinly sliced meat, a tomato spread and a few pieces of Parmigianno Reggiano cheese. Hmmm...that was kind of different. Usually it's just bread with Olive oil & balsamic vinegar, or bread with some kind of spread. Adding the thinly sliced meat and the few pieces of cheese was a nice touch. I especially enjoyed the cheese! For our entrees my friend ordered Linguine e salmone, and I ordered Bucatini all Bomba. The Linguine e salmone came with a fairly large and thick piece of salmon. I was impressed with how generous the portion of salmon was for this dish. My dish was tasty but kinda paled in comparison next to the huge slab of salmon on my friend's plate. No fault of the restaurant as I had opted not to add any protein to my dish. I have a feeling if I'd added protein then there's a good chance I'd have ended up with a similar sized piece on my plate as well. Salmon for example would have cost an extra $14 to add to my dish. For that sum, I have a feeling it would be a pretty generous slab of salmon they'd be adding. I did very much enjoy the flavors of my dish. The portion of pasta looked a bit small upon first glance, but it was actually quite filling. I had just enough room after my pasta to order a Grappa Tiramisu for dessert, and as I don't come to Port Moody very often, I decided to splurge and order one. Mmmmm...sooo good. If you like Italian food, this place is quite a gem. I also love that they have a Vegetarian lasagna on their menu. As someone who doesn't eat meat, a Vegetarian lasagan is something that always grabs my attention when I'm at Italian restaurants. If I find myself at Osteria Povera again, I will definitely order the Vegetarian lasagna next time! Service: Fair Parking: Free parking on the street

A quaint little spot in the neighborhood! It's a bit tucked behind smaller streets off the main…read moreroad so it felt a little hidden. We stumbled upon this place while waitlisted elsewhere nearby but Im glad that happened. The ambiance of Povera is old timey, warm, and intimate. Tables are small and somewhat compact but it doesn't feel that way. The service was alright. The only time service fell short was when we asked for things like a straw for the drink or fresh ground pepper. Maybe staff were tired as it was the end of the night or maybe they were really busy. Regardless, we did have to ask a few times before they brought things over. Brownie points to our server though - We had a lovely server who was patient and let us take our time to review the menu. And he generously offered up the antipasto spreads and focaccia, which was delicious! The food was great. Highly recommend the focaccia. It was so good! Seasoned just right and had a great crunch. Listened to others' recommendations and got the salmon linguine. Now, it may sound simple on paper (lemon, rosemary, linguine, salmon) but it is done very well. The salmon was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The rosemary did a lot of heavylifting but wasn't overwhelming the dish. The lemon was a touch of acid to being brightness to the dish. Everything worked together. We also got the Bomba pasta with chicken. Also good, had a lot of flavours working together! The chicken also has a crisp exterior and tender interior. I'd definitely come back here for a date night or a more intimate chat with friends.
