Won't return. Vacuum handle falls off, no suction. Car wash pretty useless- I'll have to redo it at home. Still bird poop, dirty rear end panels. Really a total waste of money. Go down to the new car wash on Rt. 50. Even Just Ducky brushless is 10x better. I've gone to this car wash for 50 years, but now, I'm done. Went to car wash in bethel park last Friday it was closed, went to another one on South Park rd it was closed , both closed , at the same time. Had to go to a third one to get my car washed, call the complaint no# left a message, 4 days later I get a call back, wanted to the problem, any informed them of the problem, the lady?? My rear window shield wiper blade was broken in the car wash on September 12th. The attendant took all my information and told me someone would call me. As of October 4th, I have not received a call or email. I have called the customer service 3 times and also sent an email. I was told it was under review. I have replaced it myself because I was afraid that my windshield would be damaged. I told customer service that I wanted a refund. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB. read more

So....just in case you ever get HIT in the middle of the car wash by an elderly lady behind you....don't expect Mr. Magic to have any sympathy. The lady behind me is adamant the attendant never told her to put it in N....which I can believe...he wasn't even holding the Stop/Neutral paddle when I went through. Now I need to get an insurance repair. Anything from Mr. Magic? Perhaps at least an apology for having a process that can even allow this? Nope....a letter...blaming the old lady. First guy repeatedly said "no pressure" when talking about becoming a club member and when i repeatedly said no thank you he made a sexist comment about women buying starbucks and how i must "love to spend money". Looking at other reviews this rudeness seems to be a consistent issue. Do better. read more

I've been a long time washclub customer and noticed a big change when the new owners took over. My car now has water spots from the soap not being rinsed off and lack of water pressure. If you got bird crap or bugs on the grill, they used to use a high pressure hose to remove them and that has gone by the wayside. Also, ever since the vacuums became free, the suction power has gone down. The lights are meh. I'm going to a car wash, not a disco. The red lights during the dry cycle hurt my eyes too A new WetGo has opened up down the street I tried a free wash for their grand opening and my car finally looked clean without the water spots. I used their free vacuums and they actually had power. WetGo is $5 cheaper for their unlimited plan and much better value. Mr. Magic, please work your magic and actually compete with your competitors so you don't lose long time customers like me and many others. read more

Mr. Magic has become my last"go to" automated car wash especially when I need them to clean the undercarriage after my car is hit with a lot of salt during the winter months. They have various service levels-basic-which is more like a general soap and wash over that you could go anywhere for. The "signature" which normally includes the stuff I'm looking for, and the "works" which adds one or two things more. Sometimes they will offer the "works" package at "the signature cost" depending upon the time and day of your visit. This location has two lanes-One if you have a frequent washer card and the other for everyone else. Since today was a very busy day they actually had people taking my money. I paid for the signature and waited to enter. BTW-Outside they have these "bags" to put on your rear wiper if so equipped. The line is long but it moves fast. Once I drove inside my front side windshield was "hit" with so much water that I could barely see to make the right turn to enter into the main part of the wash. No, you are not allowed to use your wipers so I had to blindly follow the man who was waving me on to make my turn. Once inside I rolled down my window and instructed the guides to make sure to clean the underside of my window since I drive a hatchback. Unless you tell them this will be neglected. I then proceeded to "coast" through the conveyor belt not knowing what was being done with my car. Once finished the garage door lets you out onto Mt Lebanon Blvd where there's a traffic backup. Should you wish to vacuum your car then you have to make an immediate right turn to their machines and then work your way out onto Mt Lebanon Blvd. I decided just to ride a little up the street and pull into a vacant lot to wipe down my car. Yes it was clean but there were "smears" in various places. It's not like the good old days where they actually employed people to wipe down your car after the wash and then you could tip them. Mr. Magic is a chain carwash and you will get the same treatment no matter which location you plan to visit. They are a bit costly for my purposes but it helps me through the winter. I will give it one credit in its favor-its beats those touchless one arm machine car washes that you wait for what seems an eternity to drive into a bay and sit there while the arm surrounds you. The complimentary glass cleaner wipes are not what they ought to be. I still get streaks. If you want to clean your windows and mirrors then use a quality brand cleaner you get at the grocery store and do it at home. Located near the corner of Castle Shannon Blvd and Mt Lebanon Blvd there is a trolley line near the entrance that you need to look out for. read more

Mr magic car wash in Moon township. Employees are rude and disrespectful to customers. I'm a club member of 3 cars I have been a member since they started the club membership. I'm a weekly customer for years some times twice a week. They know me to see me. I took one of my cars there today to have it washed. The car I took doesnt come out of the garage much. They got a new system I guess it's a plate system instead of the sticker on the windshield. The car I took still had the sticker on the window shield the plate was a different plate I inherited from my father 2 years ago. instead of asking me any questions about the plate and that they got a new system within the last month. He just said back up I can't let you through the plate doesn't match the car. i told him I have the sticker for years and an active member ship. He said too bad back up call customer care. I pulled back and called and they update the plate on the car. My issue was instead of saying we have a new system that now goes by plates have you update the plate on this car. I didn't know I had too because I have the sticker. and an active member ship. I told the guy I amgoing to go down the street to the new car wash. He said good we don't need you hear anyways. I have a pair of smart sunglasses and recorded the whole conversation! Lookslime I can take my business else where. read more

Mr. Magic was purchased by new ownership around April 2022, which was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!! The former owners hired employees to hand wash the rear windshield due to the automated machinery's inability to reach sections of the rear windshield (common for most SUVs). As a result, my car is NOT CLEAN!! This car wash is expensive and does not thoroughly clean my car. Sadly disappointed, I will cancel my membership. read more

MULTIPLE issues with at least 2 locations that I have visited: They placed masking tape on my rear windshield wiper so it wouldn't come off?? They didn't tell me or ask me and as I was driving away, I noticed it. Also, the soap does not rinse off well and leaves spots and the back of the car is never as clean as the rest because the brushes do not touch it completely. They've cut back on the amount of water they use and turned off certain sections of the wash cycle. I just put my car through for $10 and parts of it literally did not get wet. But they had the money to put in silly colored lights along the way, so that's something for the little kids I guess. Anyway, one star for being a car wash that no longer washes cars. read more

Prices have gone through the roof. Now $25 for a full service wash. Is there anywhere in the south hills you can get a real full service wash? When I lived in Fl less than 5 years ago you got a Complete wash, vacuum and interior windows for $16 including a $4 tip. My car looked like it was just driven off the showroom. I'd be more than happy to pay $25 including tip for the same wash now but not $25 for a glorified exterior wash. I guess the owner needs a new boat New owners new regime. This place is an institution but they made a mistake when they bought the place thinking they can raise prices for no extra services. This place has gone downhill since the new owner took over. The prices are higher, which inflation. So ok. But they got rid of the guy that would hand clean the spots that the automatic wash misses. Now it's just a long line of 80 percent clean cars. Save your money. Go somewhere else. read more

What a way to run a business into the ground... I have been a customer for decades, but after the previous owner decided to sell the business and run for a seat in the local government, I gave up using Mr. Magic. The new owner's "improvements" include raising the prices absurdly, eliminating any form of discounts or loyalty benefits, and laying off anybody deemed superfluous. Somehow, the quality of the wash got much worse, maybe due to equipment configuration to save them a few bucks. This is a big loss to the community, and I will either find a different place to have my car washed or even do it by hand. My old rating would have been 5 stars, but now it's gone down to 1. THE.BEST.CAR.WASH!!!!!! The best in western PA maybe anywhere! In and out within 2 minutes. You can often find coupons on the back of Giant Eagle receipts or in the mail as well. With the coupon you can get their Signature Wash for $11. Additionally you can vacuum your car and/or buy items for cleaning. Every employee is kind and helpful. I been a regular for 11 years however lately I been kind of disappointed by the response of the cash wash cashier when I had mentioned to her that someone next to me was smoking and the smell was drifting over to me as well into my car. BEWARE!!! THIS CAR WASH DAMAGES THE EXTERIOR OF CARS!!! I have been using this car wash for decades. It has now been sold to new management and the car wash has been completely changed. Gone is the prewash which will, of course, damage your paint job. But that is not the most serious damage that you may experience. I took my car there several days ago. Immediately in the first minute, I heard this horrifying noise as if parts were being ripped from my car. Sadly, for me, this was true. Two moldings on my roof were ripped off of my car and were found inside the carwash, mangled, by management. I was distraught and requested reimbursement for my car to be restored. BUT NO. ALTHOUGH THE MNGMT ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THIS OCCURRED IN THE CAR WASH, THEY ONLY OFFERED REIMBURSEMENT IN CAR-MANGLING CAR WASHES. Additionally, when I went to speak with a manager, there was another person in front of me holding his car part that had been ripped off of his car. And then the Asst Mgr brought out of the carwash several other moldings that had been ripped off of other local cars to see if one of them was mine. They were not. I came by this morning to vacuum two cars out and it was such a pleasant experience. At first I had some trouble with the machine and luckily there's actual people working not a sign that says "email here for comments". The man gave me a coin to re run the vacuum since I lost some time asking for help. The vacuums have a nice suction and even pick up the dog hair! Note to Arlene: you can use your wipers to see while you pull in and line your car with the track. You need to turn them off when the track pulls you. I've been going here since 1971. My only complaint is that there are small gray spots from the rinse water on my paint and windows when I exit. They come off if I get to them with a wet towel while I dry the car, or use detail spray. I use the monthly plan for my new black Ford, but I don't have them use the hand brush or the high pressure spray. It seems like a bad idea to hit a dirty car with that. Since I'm on the monthly plan, the car never gets that dirty. They are happy to wet it down gently with the sprayer if I ask. My friend has a new black Ford Explorer and goes several times a week. We see no damage on his paint. read more

First, any good review of this car wash has to be from a friend or relative of the owners, Steel City Operators and they most likely don't pay for car washes. And sInce they bought this business a few months ago, it continues to spiral downward(they can't go much further). First, only the top half of your car gets washed because they cut down tremendously the amount of water necessary for a good wash. Hello, a car needs water to be washed well! And while they used to to spray from above as you entered the car wash, no more. Also, they used to clean and hard spray the front and rear bumpers before beginning the actual wash. No more. And the kicker is when your done, the wheels are still dirty. And after your done you have to go home and wash the bottom half of your car yourself! And when you say something to someone about these things, the miserable manager, Rich, gives you attitude like it's your fault and wants to fight you or they keep saying they're working out the kinks. And if you can find someone who actually works , they'll tell you they're getting a ton of complaints. Very sad. This used to be a very well run business. It's HORRIBLE! And last but not least, I bought a $150 Fast Pass. No more Fast Pass so I paid $20 per car wash and now getting a $5 wash. So if you want your car washed, do yourself a favor and run it through a cheap car wash at a Get Go or something similar for a few bucks. This may be the biggest collapse of a local business in such a short time since Tambellini's Restaurant (they might be related). So, bad car wash, horrible attitude and waste of money. Pretty soon when you go there they'll take your money and tell you that you have to wash the car yourself or they'll say they're out of water completely! Must be a new business model. Wow... what a bad experience I just had! Recently moved here from out of state and first time at this car wash. Poor directions from the two who were working. They took for granted I knew what to do. One showed irritation towards me. That not being bad enough, I called the head office to alert them about my experience and they just defended themselves. Oh geez...
