This North Hills car wash location is one I have visited my entire life, from sitting in the backseat of my parents car to now with my own grandkids in the back. While the attendants are mostly friendly and helpful at this location, I am FURIOUS with Mr Magic as a company. They have been continuing to charge my account even tho it has been cancelled since October. They are refusing to pay back the three months when I was charged in error. The worst part is you can't reach a live person only "Bubbles" their AI assistant. So frustrating!!! My advice is pay each time you need to go, or try one of the zillion new Mod Wash locations in our area instead. Do better Mr Magic! :( read more

We pulled into the long line to wash the road salt off after a heavy snow. The staff taking the money was nice; however, the young man at the entrance was a little brusque with me and kept holding his "instructional signs" close to my window (e.g . Hands off steering wheel and no brake, pull forward, etc) when I stopped to be sure my intermittent wipers were turned off. $20 for a wash and wax and undercarriage spray that left the back of my car filthy. We'll go elsewhere for future car washes. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. I took my car here in January and heard a sharp scraping sound on the driver's side as I entered the track. When I got out, I saw there were deep gashes in my driver's side rims. I immediately alerted an attendant and filed a report internally with them. Since then, I have been jerked around, delayed responses, and ultimately denied ANY compensation for a repair that they are completely responsible for. I would recommend avoiding any location of Mr. Magic. They are a large corporation and place no value on the customers that give them business. Do not go here. read more

Have used Mr Magic on Banksville for years and have always been pleased. Today while near this location in North Hills I tried this one. Horrible. Dirty on virtually every panel. Water spots and dirt streaks everywhere. Even windows were not dried by dryers. Avoid, unless you like a dirty car. read more

Mr. Magic Car Wash is a car-wash chain that opened several decades ago and currently has about 16 locations in the Pittsburgh region. This particular location is in McCandless Township in the North Hills. Mr. Magic uses an automated car-wash system. A customer drives their vehicle onto the car-wash track and follows an employees' instructions. Once their vehicle is in the proper position, then the customer puts the vehicle in neutral, removes their hands from the steering wheel, takes their feet off the pedals, and allows the car-wash equipment to move their vehicle through the tunnel. At the end of the car wash, a sign indicates when the customer should shift out of neutral and put their vehicle back into drive. Was greeted by the manager and a trainee. Only three wash options are available. The prices are a bit steep compared to Jerry's Car Wash. The selection is programmed at the beginning then the only employee is the person who makes sure you are on the track. All of the equipment and signage appears to have been updated. The blowers dry the car and there is no need for manual wiping down the car. The manager is converting my Jerry's Car Wash gift card to Mr Magic Car Wash. The app was very easy to download and create an account. Very pleased with the results. Looking forward to my next car wash. read more

If I could give them a ZERO I would. This establishment takes as much advantage of a customer as I have experienced. They are dishonest, attempt to get you to subscribe by stating "for just $9 more you can get unlimited for the month." WHAT THEY FAIL TO TELL YOU IS THAT YOUR CREDIT CARD WILL BE CHARGED EVERY MONTH and when you try to cancel, you receive NOTHING but hassles and COMPLETE IGNORANCE. I'm over the bad service. I pay for the 2nd to the top car wash. I usually pay the top for the winter. I may go elsewhere since the boys, yes that is what they are boys that work there just don't give a shit. They NEVER ask you if you want any extras and sometimes I do, but no chance cause they hit the button then when you get up there you now have to ask to spray all the bugs, and it don't matter cause it does not clean. I am talking about the one on 3 degree Rd. The older guy was awesome and kind, but I haven't seen him. If you don't want to do your job then get out. read more

Last weekend I went to get my car washed at this location and if I could give a negative number I would, my car had scratches on the glass, chips in the paint and worse yet on the drivers side it developed splotchy pitted indentations which I do not think can be corrected with a buff and wax it out but it's under the paint. This car wash has actually improved under the new management. The best change is to the vacuuming area. It is covered, there are vacuums on both sides of the car, and there are two types of nozzles. The washing area is efficient and doesn't require a hand wipe down. I'll be back! read more

Mr Magic Car Wash....Buyer beware. I signed up for what I believed was a month of unlimited washes but found out that they automatically renew it every month and the fees were being charged to my credit card. I just learned this yesterday when going to sign up for another month of unlimited washes that they had been charging me for many months and several hundreds of dollars without any use. I was advised by Connor, in customer service, that their machine would have advised me of the auto renewal policy but as I explained when I signed up, I gave my credit card to one their workers who setup the service without me seeing anything on their machine. Customer service showed no empathy, wasn't interested in coming to a comprise with me or keeping me as a customer in the future. I am disappointed in their business tactics which I believe are shady and unethical. read more

This recently changed names and ownership. As I entered car wash, male worker was angry that I wasn't entering fast enough and actually started yelling at me and having a little fit! I paid $15 to be yelled at?! Hilariously outrageous. Other worker just looked embarrassed. Really this guy went from zero to meltdown in 2 seconds. I felt like a fool: one guy pleasantly takes my hard-earned cash and the next one screams at you. Before the management was changed, I loved that there were kids that would try off the car and get to the spots that's the machines weren't able to reach. with the new Mr magic the back of my car is never clean and the blowers are way to trying they blow the soap of the car behind or I front on the car and keeps on popping my gas door. read more

Great price! Appreciated the free use of high powered vacuum on the way in. I did have a small bit of damage to my car from the car wash. (I bet you're wondering why I have them 5 stars, huh?) Well, I called them and they had great customer service. They said they never had something like this happen before- the car wash ripped off my left rear tail light. (And I believe them... I have the unluckiest car of ever. haha) After assessing the damage, they replaced the part for free. It cost about $20 to get the ultimate wash ($16.50 + tips). My car was absolutely trashed with road salt and frozen slush after driving across Pennsylvania in the weekend snow storm. You couldn't even see out my windshield when I pulled into the Northway Car Wash. I was astonished at how great my car looked, when I left here. I honestly thought there was no way they'd get it all off on one trip through the wash bay. Looked amazing when I left! I love a place that hand drys! Also, easy to get in and out of with it being conveniently located at a traffic light! The reviews on here are pretty ridiculous... a car wash and auto detailing are not the same thing. You want perfection than pay the $100+ to get your car detailed. You want a freshly washed car and don't want to do it yourself... pay the $13+. read more

For the money this is the best car wash in Pittsburgh. If you become a frequent customer, they give you a discount card. The price for a regular car wash with towel drying with the discount is $8! You can't beat that price. The brushes they use have proven to be safe on all of my vehicles, including a company van that is fully wrapped. And the staff is super friendly and helpful! read more

I love this car wash! The are in a location that gets very busy but I understand why! My car always looks great when I leave there. There are free vacuums to use if you buy a carwash, which is super nice! The prices seem to be very fair to me as this car wash does a much better job than most. You can opt to get your car towel dried on top of being air dryed. This is a nice touch and it looks like it gives high school/college kids a chance for employment in the area. read more

The Wexford location is awful. There was still dirt all over my vehicle when it went through the car wash and was "towel dried ". They did a horrible job. It used to be a pretty good car wash but now it's terrible. They now write a number with black marker on your wind shield. Seems this is to tell the person who is squirting your vehicle with pre soak not too try too hard. And the wash itself stopped twice during the process and nothing was happening. It was cheaper than I assumed it would be for a full service carwash ($13 for the "deluxe"), but I got home to find most of the break dust still on my front wheels, and cleaning my car only made the pitch/tar spots on the hood more pronounced. They offered wheel-specific cleaning, maybe that would have taken care of the brake dust, and I didn't really EXPECT them to be able to get rid of those nasty tar spots, so all in all it was a decent car wash. My daughter was enthralled with it, so I'm sure we'll be back. It's cheaper than Kennywood, and my car is clean when we're done with the "ride". read more

The reason I am giving it a low rating however is that I turned into this car wash and was immediately in a line of at least 25 cars in front of me. People get a grip-your car will never look as good as when it's cleaned by hand. However this car wash does a great job. There are no brushes to scratch your car so I'm not sure what people are griping about! My boyfriend and I both have high-end cars - we take our cars here on a regular basis. read more
