A few weeks later, the truck had an issue he couldn't have foreseen, and even though he was under no obligation to do so (since we bought it as-is), he told us to bring it back for him to look at and then fixed it at no charge. I felt like Don was more concerned with taking care of us than just making a buck, which was refreshing and appreciated!

I have been a one or two automobile owner for more than 70 years. During a 30 year military…read moreservice career, I have lived in many areas of the country. I have dealt with more automobile service agencies than I can remember. I have recently moved to Chapin. Months prior to this move, my rare and much treasured 2007 Jaguar XKR developed a recurring and puzzling problem. I had taken it to Jaguar dealerships and my local mechanic several times. Each shop replaced random parts, charged lots of money, but never got to the root of the problem. On the advice of new friends and neighbors, I contacted Taylor's Auto Service. I did have serious concerns using an unfamiliar and unspecialized facility. I called, described the symptoms I had experienced and scheduled an appointment a few days later to drop off the car. On the first visit, the car behaved normally in the shop without issue so they returned it without charge. The problem occurred again soon after, requiring a 2nd visit with a more detailed system inspection. This has been the general pattern for this very random and rare recurring problem. With a better appreciation of the situation, Taylor's specialized electrical staff quickly found the TRUE problem, ordered and installed the part, and my pet was finally back home and running properly. While reloading my personal gear the next day, I accidentally triggered the car's anti-theft system. The car froze and I was unable to release it. I called Taylor's, asked for help, and the Shop Chief came to my residence. He quickly reset the system and gave me his expert advice to prevent this from happening again. There was no charge for the rescue. I have never experienced service like this anywhere. Needless to say, Taylor's will be my family's one and only service contact from now on.

They ordered a new one replaced it and also replaced a secondary part for free. Like I always say.... these are good people.

Only Chevy/GMC/Buick dealer in Newberry…read more We accompanied our friend to advise her on purchase of Chevy Trax. She found a new 2026 at this dealership list price $22K. Didn't see any haggling of here's one price let me see if we can do better type shenanigans. This was probably in part that she was set on buying this car so didn't put any argument against the price. We got there about 2 on Sat and left after 5:30. The sales people were straight shooters on what was the price, the extra coverages offered, and steps of purchase process. The lobby waiting area is modest but there's enough seats, and they have this auto coffee machine that could make about 11 varieties of coffee! Some charging ports, vending machines around near restrooms. The trax in pic attached is actual one she purchased off the showroom. The ease of the buying process and generally low price would have me consider coming here out of Columbia, so congratulations.

What Happened: October 23: Received written quote for $1,118/month on 2026 Tahoe High Country Thursday: Paid $500 deposit (told refundable if not approved "under quoted terms") Friday: Submitted credit applications (787 FICO scores - excellent credit) Saturday: Sales rep TEXTED: "approved with the A+ tier with bank" (GM Financial's BEST credit tier for 780+ FICO scores) Monday: Quoted $1,483/month (D tier pricing, NOT A+ tier as approved) Monday: When I questioned the $365/month increase, dealer responded: "That was before your credit application had been submitted" - THIS IS A LIE. Saturday's text was sent AFTER both applications were processed and we were confirmed A+ tier approved. THE FRAUD: Confirmed A+ tier approval Saturday (via text message sent AFTER credit applications processed) Charged D tier rates Monday ($1,483/mo instead of A+ tier $1,050-1,150) Made FALSE STATEMENT claiming quote was "before credit submitted" when their own Saturday text proves applications were already processed Overcharge: $365/month = $13,140 over lease term We have 787 FICO scores.
