Taylor's Auto Service

Taylor's Auto Service

I have been a one or two automobile owner for more than 70 years. During a 30 year military…read moreservice career, I have lived in many areas of the country. I have dealt with more automobile service agencies than I can remember. I have recently moved to Chapin. Months prior to this move, my rare and much treasured 2007 Jaguar XKR developed a recurring and puzzling problem. I had taken it to Jaguar dealerships and my local mechanic several times. Each shop replaced random parts, charged lots of money, but never got to the root of the problem. On the advice of new friends and neighbors, I contacted Taylor's Auto Service. I did have serious concerns using an unfamiliar and unspecialized facility. I called, described the symptoms I had experienced and scheduled an appointment a few days later to drop off the car. On the first visit, the car behaved normally in the shop without issue so they returned it without charge. The problem occurred again soon after, requiring a 2nd visit with a more detailed system inspection. This has been the general pattern for this very random and rare recurring problem. With a better appreciation of the situation, Taylor's specialized electrical staff quickly found the TRUE problem, ordered and installed the part, and my pet was finally back home and running properly. While reloading my personal gear the next day, I accidentally triggered the car's anti-theft system. The car froze and I was unable to release it. I called Taylor's, asked for help, and the Shop Chief came to my residence. He quickly reset the system and gave me his expert advice to prevent this from happening again. There was no charge for the rescue. I have never experienced service like this anywhere. Needless to say, Taylor's will be my family's one and only service contact from now on.

A little pricey, 6 months later I'm still waiting to get my truck back ( due to only having one diesel tech). And they can't find why the fuel is still surging too much pressure. But I really appreciate the hard work he did. Hopefully I'll have my baby running n ready to ride soon

As a happy customer, I am sharing my superior car repairing experience today with The Autoshop of…read moreChapin and strongly recommend them to you for their professional, timely, affordable and friendly service that rejuveniles my 13 years old Toyota Camry. My car started to have more and more severe vibration issue when accelerating 2 weeks ago, especially when speed is more than 60 miles/h. I first went to my Toyota Jim Hudson, they said the issue is with my frontwheel bearing and front-left axle. Jim Hudson charged $1050 for both along with wheel alignment service. However, when I drove it back home and drove 1 trip to downtown, the vibration issue shows up again. I went back to them next day, the technician told me it may need wheel alignment. I was confused: shouldn't you have already done this as you charged me for that yesterday?. After waiting for 1.5 hours for alignment, the vibration issue still remains. They then inspected it again said the front passenger side axle also needs replacement for $760. I was so angry. ===== Then I decided to get my car repaired at another better business. I found The Autoshop of Chapin, a family owned business with high rating on google map. The receptionist (Katherine) is so friendly. I don't need any waiting, she asked me to bring the car over, and immediately asked a mechanic to have a drive test, and figure out the vibration issue and confirmed its cause after test-drive. Then I was quoted for ONLY $505 for axle replacement compared to Jim Hudson's $760, a 33% save!!! Katherine also immediately gave me a ride back to home. After arriving home, I found I forogt the key at their shop.. Without any complaint, Katherine drove back with me and got the key and send me back home again. We talk and chat like friends.... at 4pm, Katherine picked up me again, and my car drives like a new car now. Zero vibration at all now. What can you ask for your next car repair? 33% cost-saving, making a new friend plus professional and quality repair by Kathy's husband with 20-year auto repair experience. You will feel so good by not worrying about being over-charged and getting the job done. Just make a call 8033458585.
