That just emphasizes how ridiculous this place conducts business and how horrible our experience was. A woman named *Brittany* promised us over the phone that if we drove an hour each way from the city they had the EXACT car (color, model, everything) we wanted for us to take home SAME NIGHT and they'd have everything ready by the time we arrive at 5pm. So, we cancel dinner plans and head to the dealership! We show up and mention we're there to meet with the manager *Carolina* as directed but are shuffled around to someone else who doesn't know what's happening. After an hour of sitting around waiting for answers, we're told they don't have the car as promised. Instead, they had a different color that we could get TOMORROW. We ask if they'd at least give us a good discount for all of our troubles and when they go to talk to *Carolina* again (never met her or spoke to her directly by the way), we were waiting another ten minutes with no answers before we walked out. Moral of the story: they lie so that they can get you in the door. I'm incredibly frustrated and feel absolutely disrespected. I'm truly shocked and wish these people nothing but failure.

I asked Juan to call me with an update either way. No call came. On Wednesday, Nov 19, I called for an update and was told the part still wasn't in, that someone would pick it up, and that my car would be ready that evening. No follow-up. On Thursday, Nov 20, I called again and was told the car should be ready after a brake check. Because promised callbacks had never happened, I called back at 3 p.m. and got no return call. When I asked directly if the car would be ready that evening, I was not given a yes/no answer--only vague responses telling me to wait for his call. At 4:45 p.m., Juan finally called and said it was ready. Since I had been told not to come without his call, I had already cancelled my ride and couldn't get there. When I picked my car up this morning, the total was $28 more than what Juan repeatedly quoted. I also raised a July 2025 issue: I paid over $1,000 for brakes sold by Douglas without being told the cheaper pads contain more metal and often squeak. Juan said Mark would call me to discuss the lack of disclosure. That call never happened. Multiple missed updates, unclear communication, undisclosed product issues, and inconsistent pricing. Based on this, I cannot recommend South Chicago Jeep/Dodge.

He did not ask for the rest money for the timing chain but he did say he did a tune up on my car. I paid him for the tune up. A couple weeks later my car break down again. I didn't take it back to him this time, I took it to Pep Boys. I needed a tune up and camshafts replaced(he replaced this on my car previously and they said it was placed incorrectly) . If I had to do all this again I would've just took my car to pep boys. You try to save a little money but in the end spend way more.
