There is no dine in option, so everything is take out. It is definitely a small family owned business, which is always a perk in my opinion! Real people making a real living. The sandwiches themselves were amazing! We tried a few different ones. High quality ingredients, great ratio of bread to fixings to condiments and the rye bread specifically was a stand out for me! So delicious. Homemade side dishes and desserts were also available. Or a simple bag of chips for just .50 as an alternate side option. They also have a cooler with a variety of unique brews available. The whole place is a bit of a spectacle with signs and memorabilia covering most of the inside. The bathroom itself is also an interesting site, with pictures of shirtless men, cats, and burgers seemingly cut out of tabloids and taped right to the walls. We hadn't been here before, but she has been waiting 25 years to come here. She has lived in Akron for all her life, and Kenmore for 10 of those. The bread was soggy, the ingredients were not quality whatsoever, it even looks like they cooked the sandwich with the lettuce on it. The pickles, the only thing free with this expensive meal, were soggy. We paid $41 for this meal for just utter disappointment. Not only that, but these are MAGA Trumpers, displayed everywhere, which is embarrassing in a town with such diversity as Kenmore has. Most of your customers are black, so this is just insulting.

It took at least six times for me to state my order, and the gentleman I was speaking with to repeat it back to me incorrectly before we both felt comfortable that he had the details right. He was an older fellow so I tried to be patient and told him that order accuracy is everything so I was ok spending the extra time to make sure the order was right. Once I arrived and my order was ready, we realized that one of the pizzas had the wrong toppings. At first I told them just to refund that part of the order because by the time they remade that one and I got everything home, the stuff that was right wouldn't be good after sitting in the boxes for so long. They insisted that they could remake the pizza in 8 minutes and that everything was would be fine if they left the rest of the order on top of the ovens. I repeated at least twice that I would prefer the partial refund, but they continued to insist so I grudgingly agreed. Once that one was done, they showed it to me and mentioned they added extra cheese. I was handed four boxes which allegedly contained my original order. They also told me they added an extra calzone and a slice of cheesecake in an attempt to make up for their error. Fast forward to the house and when I opened the boxes, I found not only the pizza that they remade, but also a duplicate of that pizza instead of one of the calzones I ordered and the "bonus" calzone looked like it had been sitting on the counter for the last 12 hours. To top it off, as I expected the two items from the original order that actually were correct were ice cold by that point. I will never, ever do business with these people again. It's a shame, because the food is decent when they get it right. It's simply just not worth the hassle. I was wrong about giving the benefit of the doubt to the older gentleman. I arrived early and had a good 15 minutes to see how he interacted with both the employees and other customers. Someone needs to tell him he should step away from the front lines.

Some things that made a restaurant an icon you just don't mess with. Let me say the food is not that bad but could use some improvement. Hopefully they will see this review and take steps to correct their path they are on before it causes them financial hardship.
