Mr. Hand Wash - Car Wash Near Me - Elmont, New York

The whole wash was rushed. I paid $37 for the exterior only. The men who apply shampoo to the car start from the bottoms and drag all the dirt across your car. I was cringing the whole time watching them from inside the gas station. I came here to see what the hype was all about and left here dissatisfied. There was still water droplets on my windshield, I had to tell the cleaners to dry it right before they moved onto another car. This is my first time coming and will not be returning. No quality control whatsoever. read more

Hit or miss. It felt like they were rushing through the job. To make matters worse, the wash itself was terrible. There were still visible dirt spots and streaks on my car after the wash, and the windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned at all. The interior vacuuming was just as disappointing dust was left on the dashboard, and the floor mats weren't even put back properly. For the price they charge, I expected much better quality and customer service. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back here again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a thorough and professional car wash. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

I came to Mr. hand wash to get my car cleaned inside and outside. It cost about $55- $65. The workers here were nice and accommodating. They were able to listen to me and get things done. There were two men working on my car and since it was my grandfathers old vehicle it had some deep cleaning that really needed to be done. After a long period of time waiting the car still needed work. I had to end up buying my own things to clean the doors and seats and dash. I'm unsure what they use to clean the cars however it could have been cleaner. Over all I think they did do a good job however some places inside were missed and untouched. They have many, many workers and it does look like they usually put 2 people to every vehicle. read more

By far one of the worst car washes in history!!!!! Imagine requesting the VIP car wash and your entire back window comes apart??!! There is absolutely no excuse for this. Instead of the employees being empathetic about THEIR mishandling of my vehicle, they all scattered without explanation. I went searching for a manager and his customer service was a NEGATIVE 5!!! It was that bad. They treated me as if I did the damage to my vehicle myself. Anyway, I had to demand answers from the "manager" and he said they will get it fixed. Next thing, this man takes my vehicle without warning and drives off leaving me and my husband to figure out where he stormed off to. We asked a worked and he pointed where we needed to go. We walked to the auto shop next door and had to wait over a half hour for them to fix my back window. While waiting, I go in my car and the car wasn't clean. My husband had to ask the "manager" what's going on?! He said we can take the car back to the exit of the wash to get the inside cleaned up. Now that the car window is finally back on, I proceeded to exactly where I was supposed to go. Upon arrival, apparently, it wasn't the right place to go. The "manager" had me cause traffic trying to place me somewhere with his arm signals. So I now pull up and the same workers start to "clean" my car. This entire ordeal was draining and inconvenient at every level! I mentioned my frustrations to the "manager", and asked what will you guys do to for the inconvenience?! He laughed, mentioned he got my window fixed and that was enough. I said oh no no no, where is the owner of this establishment? Long and behold, after searching, FRANK (no last name) arrives. I explained the situation nicely to this terrible owner and his response was worst than the "manager" outside. I had to get my camera out to make sure I heard him correctly. He practically said "it came off at the car wash and they fixed it". Huh?!! So my time, your unprofessionalism and entire inconvenience is on ME?! He then turns his back on me and proceeded to go to his bathroom(office). I will never go to this place and will make sure the word gets out about this establishment. ******DO NOT GO TO THIS TERRIBLE "HAND" CAR WASH. THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR CAR AND PRACTICALLY TREAT YOU LIKE GARBAGE. FRANK, THE "MANAGER" AND THE REST OF THEIR STAFF ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CAR WASH. Check out surrounding car washes instead. Have a lovely weekend! read more

There aren't many brush-less Hand Car Wash locations locally. Just the Mom and Pops that don't care about leaving a few scratches and grime left on your vehicle. Mr. Hand Wash raises the bar meticulously. For starters the gentleman that work here are kind and work quickly. The menu offers a plethora of detailing services. They also have a machine to wash your floor mats. Not every location is equipped with that feature. I will admit that they are NOT CHEAP at over $13 for standard full service. I will say that you definitely do get what you pay for. I for one do not wash my car regularly, so when I do go it's for monthly upkeep. I love this convenient location and how big this shared gas station location is. I hear they run a special on Tuesdays but unfortunately I don't have the kind of time that allows for me to make it there. read more

terrible business. I brought my 2024 tundra here and the workers were terrible. they did not vacuum my backseat. also, they did not clean my roof, i mentioned it to the cashier, they brought my truck in for a re-wash where I had to wait another 30mins for my car to get though the line. now as they are drying my car, i noticed 2 fresh scratches on my trunk. terrible place, do not recommend. read more

**THIS IS ABOUT THEIR INTERIOR DETAILING** Terrible rude and overpriced. DETAIL PRICING?? I couldn't get a straight price for detailing, everything was, "it depends". He finally quoted me $130 because someone threw up on the passenger side (you must talk to the manager for anything regarding detailing..) I asked the manager, "do I need to show the workers the spots or will you remember to tell them?" He looked at me, asked me "do I look like I need to wear glasses?" Okay.. He said, "I don't need glasses." Literally, trying to get a straight answer from this 'manager' was super annoying, and very rude. I came at around 8am, he told me to come back at 4pm. DAMAGE They scratched my car in 2 areas, one by driver door and chipped the back passenger door. They also chipped the paint near my gas tank. I check my car every day - those scratches and chips were not there before. See pics. I only saw this the next day because my mind was focused on the inside (I went for interior detailing) PICKUP I come there for pickup. One of the workers says "it's been ready since 1pm". I have no patience for this, but next, I see a worker dribbling my basketball that he took from my trunk. ????!! Flabbergasted, how unprofessional! I look inside, they missed half of the spots I told them to clean. This is why I wanted to be adamant with the manager before I left. I showed them the spots and they cleaned them. They were not cleaning it well enough. I went home, after a few hours, some of the stains came back. I went back the next morning and they cleaned it again. It's been two weeks, some of the stains have come back, so I'm just frustrated. If you comment on anything they do, they will automatically say, "we know how to clean it." Clearly not. $130 is actually one of the cheaper prices I found for interior detailing in Nassau, but I don't know if I would take it here again because of the damage to my car, violating my belongings in my trunk and just overall attitude for no reason. They may be great for a car wash, but do not leave your car here or trust their 'detail care'. read more

BEWARE!!! Do not take a chance and bring your car to Mr. Hand Wash! They will damage it like they damaged my brand new car. I brought it in last Sunday for a hand wash thinking it would be much safer than a standard car wash. It went in perfect. It came out with a deep, one inch scratch on the rear passenger door. I couldn't believe it. I called for the manager. Out comes this young guy in a t-shirt and sweatpants. I show him the scratch. Without even asking his workers what happened, he says "we didn't do that. I can't help you." And just like that he's free of any responsibility and I now have a deep, one inch scratch on my new car. I am warning you, if you love your car like I do, STAY AWAY FROM MR. HAND WASH!!! They are totally unprofessional and will damage your car. I would never recommend them to anyone. Their manager is a lowlife and their workers are reckless. Mr. Hand Wash is the WORST car wash in the business!!! read more

Terrible service, it's so sad this place has so much potentiometer but yet the workers are so far from professional, I'm on line at 5:30PM and I'm waiting it's been 15 mins and it's only 5:45PM as of now and worker comes up to me and tells me we're closed in a very rude manner, I tried to talk to him he ignored me and walked away, I continued to stay on line till I enter the drive through section and when the car ahead of me moved up the same worker drove a car Infront of me and blocked me off , very disrespectfully and yet again I try to talk to him again and I'm screaming "EXCUSE ME" and he doesn't even turn back or try to acknowledge me. Way to put the costumer first. Definitely won't be coming back here and I'll be leaving this rating on google as well. Disgusting read more

Get your car hand washed in Elmont. Its easy to get to from the southern state parkway and cross island parkway. There's a sonoco gas station on site. There's also a deli counter. You walk instantly smell the bacon. Came here on Wednesday 11/25/15. The service was good. They really cleaned the inside of my car. Another perk is that if you get a car wash you get 5 cents off each gallon of gas. Just for that I would come back. read more

Today purchased a deluxe interior car wash and it was a complete waste. Truly a sloppy job to be honest. I paid $45 and my windows are still dirty. My rubber mats were still wet and they didn't put a sheet protector from keeping it clean. So once I stepped into my car from the wet ground all the dirt came on to my mat. For all the staff they had outside there is no reason why this was sloppy read more

The sign clearly says save .40/gallon when you get a car wash, I get the ULTRA VIP and am told I have to put the gas first so I won't save the .40/gallon. Too expensive for a poor job. They don't clean the cars properly! For the money that you're paying they should really do better.

Wish I would have read the reviews on here before taking the trip. I paid for the "house special" ($24) and I'm not even sure they did all the waxes the are included or the under carriage wash. My passengers side carpet was not even taken out of the car let alone washed as it still had pebbles on it. Windows weren't fully washed nor was it wiped down properly. Don't waste your money! Also the longest I ever had to wait for a car wash, 30 mins. read more

The worst and unprofessional. Bad service. Paid for VIP service and the roof, grill, interior not wiped as part if tge package and the inlet of the doors are dirty as hell. Thet refused to put it back through the wash. They claim the manager is gone. One guy was like cancel the transaction but then the manager is gine so they can't and refusing to complete the job. I had to call the 5th precinct in Elmont whom said all they can do is take a complaint but can't help with the refund. I was on the phone with the bank in the meantime whom put a hold on the pending transaction which I have a dispute case. The guy with the red hat acted as if its his shop and money. Would give it ZERO stars if possible. They are trash! Yiu You don't get what's listed or paid for which is disappointing! read more

Mr. Hand Wash - Very unprofessional. Do not go here! Does not provide a complete service for what is listed and paid. They were TRASH! - Car Wash Near Me - Elmont, New York

I desperately needed a car wash after going on vacation. I decided on this car wash because it was nearest my church. All I'll say is for the expensive price they're charging, their cleanliness is lacking. The back of my car was not vacuumed and the back side window weren't touched. The dashboard was completely dusty and the rugs were not cleaned well at all. Despite all of this, I still gave a tip (the guy never said 'thank you'). I will not come back to this place. read more

Give these guys a nothin they don't know how to speak to people or conduct a car wash properly. First it seems as though I had to drive car in Non the guys took the car and drove it properly on the track. I did , anyway they starting yelling because the car wasn't in proper gear. However if something is suppose to run sufficiently, your have to give proper instructions before you start telling them out. But yet of Course ppl who Do car washes is. It suppose to speak to anyone properly ......because they are not taught this before getting a job. A jobs a job that means everyone should Do it correctly. Mr. Hand Wash - Car Wash Near Me - Elmont, New York

Recently leased a new car and wanted to get a hand wash so that my paint stays perfect. Waited on line for a hour- not too bad because it's the first nice day in a while but when I get to the front I'm not impressed. When I asked questions the staff seemed not to know the answers. I figured this is my first time - I would go to with the basic package (17 bucks plus 8 bucks for rubber floor mats - not too bad once again). BOOM my car comes out and it looks okay.... they wipe with microfiber cloth ... cool... THEY COME WITH MY MAT SOAKED AND THROW IT IN THE CAR - WHO DOES THAT?! I had to open the trunk to make sure they dried and wiped that down.... Pluck my own leaves off the car and by the windshield wipers... I would probably go across the street next time and pay half the price and earn a scratch or two . read more

Been coming here since I got my first new luxury car in July. I was told this place is best instead of a regular car wash I would take my older car. There is only one person I'd let touch my car but he was busy yesterday. So someone else did it. And what a horrible job. He tried to tell me it was done and clean but it wasn't. There were visible spots anyone can see. The tires were still dirty. It was horrible. I'm shocked as they all recognize me and know my car from frequently being there giving my money. He then went to say he's busy. Just being so rude. Another customer complained too. I'm sad and deeply hurt by the way I was treated. I'm not to sure I will continue going here unless it's the same guy who always does it is available. read more
