Our A/C unit stopped blowing out cold air randomly on a Wednesday night! Thankfully it was not…read moreduring the heatwave, but it was still hot, and our family needs A/C.
I had been hearing some horror stories of some unreliable HVAC businesses, so I went on my neighborhood Facebook Group to check out what HVAC businesses my neighbors were recommending, and one of them was Northern Liberties Heating & Air Conditioning LLC.
On Google, it said they were opened 24/7, so I gave them a call, but nobody picked up. Immediately after I hung up, I got an automated text message to provide my name, address, and my reason for calling.
I texted over my information as requested, with a photo of my thermostat. The night goes by, and I didn't hear anything... until the following morning around 8am.
The office manager, Virginia received my text and let me know she could send a technician over that afternoon, which I immediately agreed to.
The technician ended up not showing up, so I reached out to Virginia, who was very responsive. Apparently, the technician who was supposed to come over was held up at another job. Virginia let me know Nestor, the owner himself will stop by instead. Nestor arrived at our house promptly at the time he said he would be here.
I was expecting for him to diagnose the problem and come back another day to fix the A/C unit, but this man was prepared! Nestor brought with him a replacement part that is commonly broken in A/C units. And lo and behold, that was the part that was needed to fix our broken A/C unit!
We also have a 2nd A/C unit that wasn't broken, but since these two units are about the same age, we thought to ask if we should have the same part for that A/C unit replaced as well. Nestor said no, and that we can replace it when it's broken. We really appreciated his honesty.
Just like that, our A/C unit was fixed and cost us ~$300, which, for the part and repair work is more than reasonable.
