They have not responded to multiple attempts of resolution to complaints with the better business bureau.

The Monique L. boutique in Los Angeles only had certain styles available and for a hefty price tag of $650 each and the one that I wanted was discontinued. I then searched wedding websites galore to try and find used ones that might be for sale.....no luck! I eventually found Marina's wedding sash rental company. My prayers had been answered and I got to rent the exact Monique Lhuillier belt that I had been hunting for.....for a fraction of the cost! What a genius she is for creating a company of this sort. She also had belts and sashes from "Vera Wang" and other high end items like "Toni Federici" veils, "chanel" brooches and things of that nature. Everything that you could want to complete your couture look. She was very helpful in advising me what would go best with my dress and she also gives discounts for renting multiple items. I ended up wearing two different Monique Lhuillier belts....one for the ceremony and a different one for the reception. Marina was very easy to work with and made the whole process very simplistic.

All Marina's jewels, sashes and accessories are not only amazing to look at, but you're bound to find something you'll need for your wedding attire. She is so sweet and her rental policy is very fair. I loved my broach I rented for my dress! There are tons of pictures of it, it was so sparkly, and I got compliments all night on it. Best something borrowed you'll ever find. Good Wedding Luck~ Happy Bride

We went in on Halloween day due to my son deciding last minute he wanted/ needed a suit for his Halloween costume. Hands down Bailey was & is the best. She was knowledgeable, helpful, kind, & patient beyond measure. my son didn't have a good idea of what he wanted but I knew it would have to be comfortable, good quality, & to his style. He's quite discerning about his clothes, especially his formal attire. Bailey pieced together suit pants, tuxedo shirt, blazer, vest, & a tie that my son not only loved, felt confident in, but was also comfortable. My son tried on so many things & we were in the store for what felt like hours (it was under 45 minutes thanks to how knowledgeable Bailey is) but Bailey never made me feel rushed or bothersome. Her no pressure, calm, & kind sales approach is why we left happy & will return again & again. My son looked epic on Halloween & at the opera! I can't say enough good things about this store. Bailey definitely deserves all the credit.

We had a change of plans and needed a kids suit for my son to be the ring bearer in our friend's wedding. When we called to ask about pricing they said kids suits are around $80, this apparently only applies to little kids, think 1-6YO suits not big kid suits. Thinking it was affordable we decided to add a suit on the order for my 9YO which ended up costing us $167, it would have been an extra $30 for shoes that were not available to rent, we were told we would have to purchase, so we ended up getting dress shoes at goodwill for $7.99. No where in store or online do they have any transparency on pricing, but also so much so that I heard multiple people refer to the suit rental payment as a "deposit" not a down payment which implies a partial refund upon return in good condition as it is considered a good faith payment to ensure future services. We were given the impression that since it was a deposit we would be receiving some of our funds back. My fiancee went to return the suits and tried to reason with them that we never would have rented a suit for him at this price point and hoped we could at least receive partial refund. If you have the option shop for a kids suit elsewhere or get something tailored from goodwill. The Mr.Formal total will put you in the $200 range for shoes and a basic black suit which was the same price for all the adult groomsmen in the wedding. My parents rented their suits from here and other family over the years and I used to recommend them to everyone, including our friend's wedding on Sunday. Not worth the money and will not be recommending them again.

Harris & Tailor - Stop in and design a custom suit that reflects your unique style!

I try not to leave less-than-positive reviews, especially of small businesses. But my experience…read morewith Harris and Tailor is one that I would not want anyone else in my position to have to repeat. Everything started off well, with an initial visit to the store where I met the clothier, Mark, and scheduled a fitting. I was in the market for a suit for my wedding on June 25th, and was shopping in March. I came in a few days later, chose my fabric, got fitted, and worked with Mark on designing every aspect of the custom, made-to-measure suit. I left the store $1,200 lighter, with an estimate of a 4-6 week turnaround, quite excited to see how my suit came out. Eight weeks later, on May 31st, I got a text saying my suit was ready to try on. When I came in, Mark had apparently departed the company, replaced by someone who typically worked "back of house, or in Seattle." Not a huge deal. Regretfully, the suit measurements were way off (super tight, the custom shirt was comically short in torso and arm length, and the vest was huge and billowy). This is where things got worrisome. The new employee re-measured me and submitted the updated measurements to a tailor, who I was just learning was not a part of Harris and Tailor's operations, but a separate tailor business they outsource work to in Downtown Portland. Three weeks later, with only a week to spare for my wedding, the suit came back. Still didn't fit. This time we drove over to the tailor together with my suit, to have the actual tailor place pins in the suit while I wore it to get the right fit - this would have been nice to do from the beginning! A week later, with two days to spare, I came back in to find my suit still did not fit. We drove over once more to the tailor, who made some more measurements, and the H&T employee personally drove my re-fitted suit to my address the night before the wedding. While that was a nice touch... the suit still doesn't fit! There is a huge, 1.5 inch gap between my shirt collar and the jacket collar, something that the H&T employee was surprised to hear was a problem. There couldn't be more of a dead giveaway to anyone who knows about suits that this suit was incorrectly tailored. Unfortunately, until they rehire a clothier here, this store has no business creating custom suits, let alone charging for them. I'll have to see if another tailor can fix what I bought. PS - I wore a rental tux to my wedding and it looked fantastic.

They were clearly knowledgeable about current fashion trends as well as classic style and were able to help me make informed decisions. This was more than I've ever spent on clothes before, and I was thoroughly pleased with the results. Most if not all of the credit goes to Dawn, Mark, and Paul. I look forward to continuing to do business there in years to come.

We had an appt for a custom suit for my husband on a weekend and arrived a little before our time slot. First off, the interior smelled like a public restroom that had been cleaned with the most abrasive solutions possible. It was also a bit unkempt. There were two sales associates, one who was already helping someone else with a wedding suit. We got the other person who was...polite but very quick and curt. Didn't seem like the warmest experience in contrast to the other associate who was really taking their time explaining choices and options. I think it boils down to what you prefer in terms of interactions, but it just felt like a bit cold. In the past, the suits were reasonably priced so imagine our surprise when this was almost twice the cost. The quality is still fine, but I'm not sure it really warrants such a steep price increase. All in all, this appointment was rather tepid and I'm not sure if we'll be going back here for our suit needs. There are other local, bespoke shops that seem more sustainable and affordable in this economy.

This isn't a review of the quality of their products as we have yet to receive our order but the experience in store - once our order arrives I will add an update. We came to this location in search of a suit for the Groom. The appointment started promptly and we were guided through the process well. Admittedly, we were not sure what color or material we wanted for the suit and our salesperson helped us through a lot of decisions. My gripe comes towards the end of the appointment - it seems they do not allocate enough time to adequately provide the services they offer. Toward the end we were quite frankly rushed into a purchase. Another salesperson interrupted us just before purchase telling us the 1 o'clock was there - us, and our salesperson together which made the next portion of the appointment feel very rushed. Before we had a chance to discuss our purchase as a couple the payment module was produced and it was as we were making the payment we were told about their no refunds policy as suits were made to order. I tried to pause the transaction then and there but I could tell the salesperson felt rushed with the need to get to the next appointment. I would have liked to have time to discuss our purchase and be sure the item we selected fit within our wedding plan before purchasing and that was clear but we kind of felt like we had to make the purchase right then and there. I can't recommend this store to anyone in our situation as I don't think that experience really helped us. I certainly wasn't prepared to be rushed into a purchase without knowing their policies. And in the end we did pay for the item on the spot but I can't help but feel like we wouldn't have done that if we didn't feel pressed for time salesperson included. In the end, we are finding ourselves having to rework our wedding vision to fit the suit color we purchased in as they do not allow returns or changes.
