The GOAT Plumbing Company - Water heater moved to allow for more room in the garage for our freezer and laundry.

The GOAT Plumbing Company

Troy Joyce from The Goat Plumbing Company came out and did an excellent job on my bathroom faucet…read more He deserves a 10 star review. Excellent service! The plumber arrived on time, was professional, courteous, and quickly fixed my bathroom faucet. He explained the problem clearly and made sure everything was working properly before leaving. I'm very pleased with the quality of the work and would definitely recommend him to anyone needing reliable plumbing services.

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Management Failed to Honor Its Commitment…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience with GOAT Plumbing has been incredibly frustrating, and I feel other homeowners should be aware of what happened. We hired GOAT Plumbing to replace a water line at our rental property in Riverview, FL. Unfortunately, the experience was problematic from the beginning. During the work, our tenants' internet line was cut, leaving them without service for approximately a day. The excavation trench was left open for several days, and we were initially told the delay was because we had not paid--even though we had promptly made both requested payments. There were also communication issues, confusion regarding paperwork, and a missed appointment. The biggest issue occurred after GOAT returned to backfill the excavation. Our water usage had dropped dramatically after the original repair, but on the exact day they filled the trench, our water usage skyrocketed again. The following day, our tenants discovered another leak. Photographs showed that the excavation was immediately adjacent to the pipe/backflow assembly that was now damaged. After discussing the situation with management, a manager personally inspected the damage and acknowledged that GOAT had more than likely caused the new leak. The repair was estimated at approximately $1,100. Management initially asked us to pay $600 toward the repair, which we declined. He eventually agreed that GOAT would cover the entire cost and stated that he would arrange for an irrigation company to complete the work. That was over a month ago. Since then, we have received no updates, no scheduled repair, and no response to our repeated phone calls and emails. What is most disappointing is not simply that something went wrong during the original job. Mistakes happen, and we understand that. What matters is how a company responds when something goes wrong. In our case, management acknowledged likely responsibility, promised to make it right, and then stopped communicating. We have been patient and reasonable throughout this process, but we are now left with unresolved damage and no indication that GOAT intends to follow through on its commitment. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend GOAT Plumbing. I would strongly encourage other homeowners to consider how a company handles problems after the initial work is completed, not just the work itself.

We'd been without hot water for a week and cold showers really are no fun. I checked Yelp and found Curtis Plumbing. When I first called no one answered, so I hung up and just decided to deal with it the next day. About 15 minutes later Curtis calls and asked me if I needed plumbing services. I explained my situation and how id already been let down by two contractors. Not only did Curtis express empathy but he also said he could be out the next day. The next day came and he was on time. He explained this was a big fix and would take a few hours to complete. Curtis did not have enough gas line to fix the issue, but he did cap the current line and cut flow to the kitchen so we could have hot water in the meantime. He ordered the roll of flex line and came out as soon as it came in. Curtis did a phenominal job without destroying my kitchen. I recommend Curtis Plumbing to anyone. Honestly, he is the most honest contractor we've ever had. He didn't try to upsell us on unnecessary stuff...did not mislead us and above all did quality work. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. It is so difficult to find honest contractors who do quality work.

Anthony agreed to come out and fix it. We were surprised it was leaking so quickly after replacement. he said he would not charge us but that it would be the last time. After that we would have to pay all over again. On October 27, 2025, and Sprinklers came out to do normal maintenance on our sprinkler system and the backflow valve was leaking just as it had when Anthony replaced it and then fixed it eight months later. The backflow valve appeared to be very old according to the technician. When Anthony said he replaced it in August 2023, I did not retain the part. This time I will retain it. This repair is quite expensive. My bill today including some other adjustments was $895. I'm writing this to advise you that if you use Curtis Plumbing, retain the parts that they replace. I'm still not convinced that Anthony ever replaced the backflow valve in the first place.

I called Chris Plumbing to repair a bathroom faucet that was leaking. They came out and fixed it,…read morethe repairman was friendly, knowledgeable and a professional. When I called Chris's Plumbing I sent them pictures of the issue, they said they did not have the correct part but had a part that would probably work. I asked them their prices, they told me that it was a free estimate and then $150 an hour. So I scheduled a repair. The morning of the service I was called and told they estimated the job from my pictures and said the job would be $300. I agreed. When the serviceman came to my house he arrived at 4:16 PM, the job was completed by 4:21, it took nine minutes for him to process my payment and he left the driveway at 4:32. I cannot say enough how good the Serviceman Felix was. As much as I was pleased with the actual service, that is how much I am not pleased with the company. I felt that I was overcharged, so I called the office and expressed to them that yes I agreed to the $300 charge, but the job took only five minutes. I asked if they would reduce the pricing. The man on the phone immediately told me no, then became abusive explaining to me that I agreed to the price. I tried to tell him yes I did agree but he would not let me finish a sentence. I tried to asked him what would my price be if I had refused the fixed price and accepted the hourly rate, but again he wouldn't let me finish my question. Finally I asked him to stop and let me finish, he replied the hourly rate would have cost $300 because that would include travel time. Also he said the part was expensive, it was a Moen Duralock hose kit Part #114299 and lists for $40 on the Moen web site. The gentleman on the phone would not let me ask a question or finish a sentence, he was hostile on the phone, rude and would not stop berating that I had agreed to the $300 estimate. I told him more then once, yes I had agreed to it over the phone and was just asking if they would reduce the price because the estimate was incorrect. It was a five minute job. Rest assured I will not do business with Chris's plumbing in the future, I wish I would have gotten Felix's phone number because if he changes jobs I would call that company instead of Chris Plumbing

We live in an older house in West Tampa. After pretty much a total remodel of both bathrooms and…read morethe kitchen, we experienced a homeowners nightmare...a plumber was doing periodic maintenance on our cast iron infrastructure when a pipe broke. After analyzing solutions with them, which included knocking out walls in both bathrooms, the owner handed us off to APEX. Joe and Mike came over to the house and examined what we had & took pictures. After running cameras through everything, they developed a hybrid solution that involved undermining accessible pipes and replacing with minimal intrusion as well as refurbishing and epoxy coating the remaining small segments of cast iron that would remain. Joe sat down at our dining room table and mapped it all out; showing us video of each problem point as well as what was salvageable & gave us a price. We signed off on it. With much apprehension on our part knowing our home was about to be dissected, Elliot and John arrived to start work. They were prompt, respectful, & empathetic to our dilemna. They were also insistent about putting protective paper down everywhere they worked to protect the flooring. At the end of the day, they swept, vacuumed, and mopped any debris that was remaining. This was the standard throughout the entire engagement. Their workmanship and attention to detail was spot on. All of Joe's guys were phenomenal. John, Elliot, Matt; I cannot remember all their names, were consummate professionals of the highest degree. I would not hesitate to recommend APEX Plumbing.

I get that. NEVER TOLD ME. 2) Broke my gas pipe underground when digging. Mistakes happen. I get that. NEVER TOLD ME. I had to call them to find out why my gas was turned off 2 days later. 3) They propped my gate open to work. Left it that way when they left. My dog ran away. There are 2 signs saying to close the gate. 4) Scheduling nightmare. 5) They moved my hot tub to get to the area of work. They placed the cord on top of the cover. It rained. Broke. Mistakes happen. I replaced it. Then, when they finally came to fix another mistake they made... they left the cord on the cover exposed in a rain storm, AGAIN. I replaced it AGAIN. 6)They filled the hole on my patio with cement. It looked like a child did it. It was a quarter inch to half an inch higher than the rest of the patio. I called and complained. Sent them photos. They assured me they would fix it. It took them almost 2 weeks and 10 phone calls. 7) There's was a fan outside. They used it when filling cement in the hole they dug. Thats fine. Cement was left all over the new fan. 8) With the city program, they were to restore my property of how it was. They removed pavers and just left in a pile. STILL NOT RE-INSTALLED. 9) My home is old and didn't have a clean out. They tell me they need to install one. Great. They tell me, "It will look bad if we put it on the patio. After inspection, we will move it off the patio. Are you okay with that? We take pride in our work." I said "Whatever you think is best. Thanks." Where's is the clean out? In the middle of the patio. They never should have offered to put the clean out else where, if they weren't going to follow through. AND to offer doing something after a city inspection was sketchy. They are 100% not abiding by the city in most likely the majority of jobs performed.
