The menu does have a mixed bag of chinese cuisines through buns, taiwanese dishes, etc. I ordered the beef noodle soup, two pan-fried pork buns, and a side of cucumber salad. The pork buns came out a little later, but they were super crispy, and the inside was (as I was warned by the staff) hot and full of soup. The broth of the noodle soup reminded me of homey, comfort food that hit well on a fall-weather weeknight, and there was a good amount of sliced braised beef with some typical condiments like bok choy and preserved vegetables. The cucumber salad was a little sweet, a little sour, and a little spicy, and kind of addicting. The lady at the register was also super friendly the entire time. Great place for a quick meal for just over $20!

It's cool because you can also make your own dipping sauces (similar to when you go to hot pot). The one i did not like is that the rice they served felt a bit old. Not soft at all, chewy. Maybe it was just an older batch, but it would definitely improve the experience if they had better rice. Overall I would give this a solid 3.8/4. Would I come back? Yes, but hopefully they have soft rice next time Great for groups to share a bowl!

The Shredded potato with egg yolk, the Yunnan fried stuffed tofu, the little pot rice noodles, and the stir fried rice noodles. The appetizers were both quite good. The potatoes have a great texture and the tofu is really interested with a crispy exterior and a soft, almost molten interior. The tofu is dusted with a spicy powder which is addictive and delicious. I would eat almost anything seasoned with this. The fermented tofu dipping sauce was a little too funky for me, but I see how the bright, fermented flavor is a good compliment to the tofu. Both the noodle dishes were fantastic. The flavor profiles were complex and well balanced. Bright and slightly sour but still salty and rich. The noodles have the perfect chewy texture, and I'm not always the biggest fan of rice noodles. I love this spot and will certainly return to try other items.

The place barely had spaces so we had to wait until someone left, but luckily people would be in and out anyway, just like they would back in China. Once again, the vibes were screaming China in all manners not only from the store, but also from the customers. Every dish I have had was a hit. The chicken with chili sauce had very authentic chili sauce and lots of pieces of chicken and was just amazing. I don't really have any words to describe it because it was just authentically good, if that makes sense. The noodles were great as well with a lot of flavor, and tasted just like what I would have when I was in China. Again, I don't know how else to describe how good it was. One really needs to try it to know what I mean. With so many restaurants in New York, I may still choose to come back here because it's economical and has quality food, both of which probably factors allowing this establishment to survive through the pandemic.
