I got a few bids for a full house electrical rewire + panel upgrade and Martin was one of the best prices and also seemed friendly and professional. He did a great job, and after talking to other electricians and going through the process I think the thing I didn't appreciate going into it was how different electricians' approaches can be. Some would have made us move out of the house and put lots of big holes in the walls, but Martin hardly ever killed the power to a room for more than one day and patched all the holes he made. I had to replaced 3 fedral pacific electrical sub panels for Commerical insurance . I called Martin on Monday 8/1/23 and my commercial insurance was going to be cancelled on 8/3/2023 . We started having some electrical issues before this last heat wave, but when it continued to get worse I knew I had to find an experienced electrician. Martin responded quickly and gave me a date and time for early the next week which was perfect. We finally had our electrical panel replaced and the whole front of the house rewired. We had been wanting to do this for a long time due to the front of our house being very old, knob and tube wiring. We had decided to go with Martin and MR Electric because a friend of ours had just used him for their house and loved his work. The pricing was also very competitive with other quotes we had received. He said the job would take about 2 weeks and he was pretty accurate with the timing. Martin and his co-worker Junior were very prompt everyday and also very Covid safety oriented. They were very forthright with what would happen everyday so we knew what to expect each day. His workmanship is very good and efficient. When he had to cut into walls he would patch it right up and make it look very clean. He is very knowledgeable and would always answer any questions we had. He was also very prompt with responding back to texts or calls. Highest compliment is to use again. I had Mr Electric over to deal with a ground fault outlet in my kitchen. Martin and his assistant showed up about an hour after I contacted them. They were clean, professional and personable. They quickly replaced the gfi outlet and solved the problem. Pricey service because of the one time service fee for such a fast fix, but not so pricey when I consider how quickly they came by and got my refrigerator and other kitchen appliances running. Most electricians would take days. Yesterday, had problems with gfi again. They came out within 1/2 hour and quickly discerned that the problem was an Edison problem. Only one phase of the electricity was getting to the house. I contacted Edison and they fixed it at the pole later that day. Mr Electric did not charge me.
