Went here right after we came to Abilene. My boyfriend and I got burgers and fries. Really good, fresh and hot. Staff was friendly. Fast service. Cleanliness of restaurant was just fair. You can tell by eating here once that this place is in the business of ordering pre-prepared, frozen food, heating it up either in hot grease or in the microwave, and serving it to unsuspecting customers. Of the french fries, tater tots, fried pickles, and onion rings, all were obviously frozen. Same story with the meat patties. There are several burger joints in town that will at least have the decency to grill actual ground beef and fry actual potatoes for you and not merely heat up pre-packaged, frozen "food" from God-knows-where. My husband ordered 2 patty melts and when he got home, we had a once frozen premade patty and texas toast. I called and a teenage boy answered. I told him my problem and he said wait, then you could hear him talking to someone. Then this teenage girl gets on the phone and proceeded to tell me it was my husband who ordered wrong, (although he's ordered many times). She continued to say she overheard the conversation between my husband and the waiter. She said the kitchen cook asked my husband about it and implied the entire staff had talked to my husband about the patty melt order. All lies! I told her she's not very good at customer service, because you don't argue with a customer and "the customer is always right" & she should've said "ma'am we'll be glad to fix that for you", instead of blaming it all on my husband. Great breakfast! Love the biscuit , egg and cheese! Milkshakes and malts are also awesome! The rest of the food is okay. Lots of teenagers and their typical attitude that work there so that brings the review down. read more

The fries and the drinks are really good here. Other things I've tried taste kind of watery or soggy. It's a little disappointing since it's the only fast food this far south. Also, be prepared to wait if you're in the drive through. read more

On Saturday 1-20-2018 I asked a question to this Mr. Burger in Abilene, Tx., through Yelp. Yelp notified me that they removed my question because it might not have a "favorable response". Shame on you YELP! My question was legitimate and I wanted to know so I would know how to order in the future. I like the food here and loved the ice cream. On this occasion the ice cream wasn't the same. It was a generic no-taste product that leaves a slick film in your mouth, similar to Sonic ice cream. I asked if this was a permanent version and stated that if it was, I wouldn't be an ice cream customer in the future. I thought the management might like to know what a customer thought of their product and that management would more likely see it through Yelp. The reason I put it as a question to the business was because I didn't want it to show as an unfavorable review. I really liked the old version and still want to know. read more

Breakfast burritos are the best in town..I call the order in the night before and bring my staff breakfast. Great country store that still takes care of their customers with special orders. They open at 7:00 and I am at the drive thru at 7:10. Burritos are huge! read more

I have been coming to Mr. Burger off and on since it opened here in Abilene, and have always been generally pleased. However, after the service tonight, it is safe to say I am never going back, and will be going out of my way to tell every one I know just how far they have sunk. They close at 9. We got there about 820, and the manager had all ready begun counting down the register. She took her time in getting our orders placed, and our beverages arrived after the meal had begun. Our friends arrived shortly after we did, and waited at the counter for almost 5 minutes before even getting waited on. After they finally received their food, we didn't finish eating until about 7 after 9, at which point the manager told us something to the effect of, "Hey, we still have to sweep and mop the floor, and we close at 9." Basically, we were being told to leave. My wife got up and asked for a refill for the road and was flatly refused, for the manager said they had all ready begun soaking the nozzles. So, in short, customer sacrificed in favour of leaving early. So, long story short, I am done with this place. I hope the manager got to go home early, because starting tomorrow, I am going to go out of my way to inform the owner of the local franchise how his business is being run, and tell as many people as I can not to bother going there. You have lost a customer for life, Mr. Burger. And it won't be the last. read more

I wrote a review here, and it "mysteriously" disappeared. Nice try. Sorry, Mr. Burger has gone drastically downhill. Since it opened, my family & I regularly ate here once a week without fail. That came to a screeching halt earlier this summer. Mr. Burger has recently hired somebody - I will not say who she is, but if you have been there recently, you know who it is - whose attitude & apparent disdain for her job & her customers affects the once welcoming atmosphere of this once fine establishment. Mr. B closes at 9. We came in at around 830, and she was all ready counting down the register. She reluctantly waited on us & took our orders. We sat & waited for our food. We had invited some friends to accompany us - who had NEVER BEEN to Mr. Burger before. They arrived at around 840 to find the counter deserted - no help in sight. They waited literally close to 5 minutes before she returned, and at that time, about 2 or 3 other customers had come in. Finally, every body got their food, and we ate. Since our guests arrived a little later, it took them a bit longer to finish their food. The last guest finished his food at around 9:07, 7 minutes after their posted closing time. Keep in mind we were not loitering, talking, or anything of the sort. We were EATING. And we had just finished. No sooner than he had swallowed his last bite then this woman informs us, not in the kindest tone, that : "Our lobby closes at 9, and we still have to sweep and mop". I have NEVER been asked to leave a restaraunt before, especially when we had JUST finished eating. My wife gets up & at least asks for a refill, and she gets told, "No. We have all ready taken off our filters". Not even so much as a drink for the road, and not even 10 minutes after close. I have no problem leaving, and I am not the type to hang around after hours. It's all in how the situation is handled by the staff at hand, and it is readily apparent that this woman handles things tackily, classlessly, and unprofessionally. I have not been back to Mr. B since that night, and will not until she is gone. My friends have vowed never to go back due to their tainted 1st experience. I have asked family who have gone since then, and they all report the same thing : she has a bad attitude. I contacted a former employee, who gave me the owner's number, but he warned me, "He might not answer". Guess what? He didn't. Good to know that nobody cares that a once fine restaraunt is being ruined by one woamn and her rotten attitude. And go ahead and keep deleting this review, Mr. B. I can re-write it just as many times as you can delete it. read more
