For me, if the average of gym-goers commit gym sins like not allowing others to work-in, taking up multiple pieces of equipment, lateral raises in front of the rack, etc., the overall score of the gym takes a hit. The managers are frequently present as well and are equally uninterested in acknowledging members. The condition of the facility has noticeably declined. On weekends, there is often feces left in the men's restrooms and vomit in the locker room sinks. Many of the sanitizing wipe stations are empty. Members walk around or work out shirtless without any apparent enforcement of gym policies. Some individuals pour excessive amounts of oils onto the sauna rocks, creating an unpleasant environment for others. It is also common to encounter people playing loud music from personal speakers, disrupting everyone around them. The most frustrating part is the apparent lack of management involvement. These issues are not new, yet they continue without correction. The gym feels poorly supervised, poorly maintained, and increasingly neglected. Members deserve a clean, sanitary, respectful, and professionally managed environment. Unfortunately, this location is falling far short of those expectations. So, whose fault is it? Partly, it is the fault of the members who continue to accept these substandard and deplorable conditions without speaking up. When people tolerate unsanitary restrooms, empty sanitizing wipe stations, disruptive behavior, and a lack of rule enforcement, management has little incentive to make improvements. However, the greater responsibility falls on LA Fitness management. Members pay for a clean, safe, and professionally managed facility. When basic standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and member conduct are repeatedly ignored, it reflects a failure of leadership and accountability. The question is not whether these problems exist--they do. The question is why management continues to allow them to persist.

Mind you it's 5011 Managers so he's just one of a thousand managers there. Definitely should have been a red flag! However he was very nice he walked me thru everything etc. I felt food about joining didn't give shady at all. I signed up for a membership and personal training sessions both of which he assured me I could cancel anytime. Well fast forward a week later, I started personal training. I only had two sessions with my trainer. After the two sessions I realized she wasn't at all going to help me reach my goals. Inattentive during our session, I'm on one side dying lol and she's on the other side multi tasking or on her phone. She was suppose to create a meal plan that never happened! I said you know what I don't want to throw this girl under the bus! I said I want to cancel my sessions to Jhosep and just said the trainer didn't work for me. Cancel all my sessions I'll workout alone! Jhosep assured me my sessions would be canceled. I expressed I wanted to keep my membership because I do enjoy the classes and amenities and want to still workout. At this time I'm being reasonable cancel the PT sessions and let's keep the membership! Well fast forward to 6.13.26 I notice a charge on my statement for PT sessions on my statement. I call same day and I'm told well the manager who handles that is not here. Again here we go with the 100 different managers. I call back 6.14.26 speak with the PT director who advises I can't cancel my sessions without paying 1800.00 !!!!!!!!!! At which time she says Jhosep the manager I signed up with is no longer there and he should of informed me that wasn't possible when I spoke with him and he assured me they would be canceled. I'm trying to come up with a solution and had NONE and expressed I signed a contract for 12 sessions! Crazy thing is I was preparing for a wedding happening in 6 months so when I did signup with Jhosep I only signed up for 3 months! He signed me up for 12 months never showed me the contract and never provided me a contract . That in itself was very deceptive! I'm LIVID she asked could she pair me with another trainer! When I tell you one of her trainers called me a week prior to complete my already PAID sessions. He sounded so confused and lost and it was a HARD NO for me. I expressed after my experience with the trainers, deceptive business practices now the manager not even being there this is not the place for me! Unfortunately the call ended in Betty having no solution for me and no refund and state I still had to pay 1800. I called corporate I went back and forth with them for over 30-45 mins and they still expected me to pay 1800.00!!! Please do not join this gym and if you do please make sure you receive copies of your contract because they will literally sign you up for whatever they want you to have l! It's really sad the stigma I had surrounding big gyms came to fruition in just under a month! This is why I stick to small gyms and small gyms only! SUPPORT LOCAL!

Saw multiple seniors slipping due to the egregious lack of maintenance during a tournament that people are charged in excess of 15$ a day for the 'privilege' to attend. Also doesn't appear that they had heating in the men's restroom. It was significantly colder and almost to the point of unbearable. All around less than stellar experience.

No corporate nonsense, no contracts hidden with fees that you find out you're paying 5x what you think you are. It's a simple place to go if you want to get bigger and stronger.
