After all, a simple internet search told us what the code meant! The repairman showed up late, I showed him what the problem was. He went out to his truck to see if he had the part- after 20 minutes, he came back in, said the part would take 2 or 3 days to get and charged me 65.00! Too bad they wouldn't tell me this morning that they did not have the part. Would have saved me a day of waiting for this guy to show up and 65.00 paid to him for basically sitting in his truck for 40 minutes- 20 minutes when he got to my house (I was watching when he pulled up) and 20 minutes to look for the part! Just checked my receipt- it says paid Visa 65.00 (it was a Discover card) and to the right of that it says door latch 125.00, labor 35.00 and service 65.00- an estimate for 225.00? Online the part is available for 80.00. So...tonight my husband and I are making a trip to Sears Outlet to buy a new washer. By the way- I love Sears Outlet and I love their repair people. Too bad our washer was no longer under warranty. It lasted 11 years with only one repair. How this business got an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau is beyond me!!

The technician arrived right on time, diagnosed teh problem, and explained everything. He was professional and took less than 45 minutes to repair teh unit. I was very pleased with him. I received a bill for $757.00 and which included a $130.00 service call, which was slightly high in my opinion for 45 minutes of work, but I understand that charge. The 2 parts that were replaced were a combined $243.00. They were a capacitator, which I believe is a common repair in high heat and a Hard Start. I was able to fnd these on Amazon for less than $25.00 combined. Prior to writing this review, I called the shop and was told the high cost is due to the technician's knowledge and cost to keep parts in stock on the truck. I explained that I do not have a problem with an upcharge of an item, but their profiting was excessive. I also asked if the cost was for the technician's experience, why the $130.00 for the service call. I also used this company approx 25 years ago, and the tech lied to me then about the size of AC unit I had and needed. I could not in good conscience use tis company again

A company called Dor Mar charged me $8500.00. A few days later my toilet stated leaking. They fixed the toilet for $600.00. I was stuck in a position I felt I had to use Dor Mar since I had no hot water and a leaking toilet. The toilet fix was simple, by replacing a rubber gasket on the tank. I then checked other places and found out that I was charged double the industry standard. I then called Dor Mar and was told basically sorry about your luck. Now I may not be able to do anything about getting money back, I will not use Dor Mar anymore and will spread the word to never use Dor Mar.

Then the guy that came to do the work - Bobby - texted and called me, and we touched base and he was able to arrive earlier (...I took the first time they said, knowing that I'd be in a meeting when he arrived regardless - this worked out SO much better). Bobby was friendly, knowledgeable and kicked out those damn insects like I asked. He brought in his Snake / Auger machine and had the drain clean-out opened and the snake running in just mins. He was all done with the drains and toilets running ok. Dave was on his way in less than 20 mins. After waiting around on this other "big" company for 3 days and Dave got the job done in 20 mins! He is rude and unprofessional, often accuses the consumer of "breaking" or "doing" something. Yes, he works fast; yes, he comes to one's home; however, he oils, oils, oils, leaving puddles of oil in the bottom of the machine. IF you contact him after he "serviced" a machine, he WILL NOT return. I have asked for my money back and I have gotten no response. I have filed a complaint with BBB and am in the process of filing a complaint with the Secretary of State.

Located in the strip mall next to Udipi Cafe, it was a convenient location and pretty easy to find right off of Route 161. The whole place is COVERED in sewing machines. I've never seen so many sewing machines in one location in my life. They were all organized into rows and clearly labelled so that they could easily be found when their owners came back for them. They met me at the door as soon as I walked in and already had a space cleared so that I could set down the machine. They immediately began to assess the situation by asking a couple of questions about the machine's "symptoms", testing the levers and threading mechanisms. Then they quickly unscrewed the cover and peaked inside. Turns out, a gear was broken. They pulled it out to show me and let me know that unfortunately with this make and model, the gear was no longer available to buy as a replacement. I spent no money while on this visit. Estimates and diagnosis are free. Before I left, they kindly offered to dispose of my broken machine for me and referred me to Westerville Sew-N-Save if I was interested in buying a new one. Overall, friendly, speedy and knowledgeable service. I will definitely go back if I ever have need, as well as refer my friends.
