Had a little scheduling snafu, but it was addressed quickly. Technician showed up in time as…read morescheduled, was very knowledgeable and very deliberate in repairs to our refrigerator. Tech verified everything was working as required multiple times prior to completing all the work. Cost seemed to be very competitive from what I have seen/heard from others.

I called on a Saturday and was told I could be seen Tuesday morning between 8 AM and 12 PM. At 1 PM, I received a call apologizing and was told someone could be there by 2 PM. Nobody showed up. I then rescheduled for Friday morning, again between 8 AM and 12 PM. The technician didn't arrive until around 5 PM. When the technician finally arrived, he checked my breaker box (which I've never had a refrigerator repair technician do before), looked at my refrigerator, unplugged it, and told me to let it sit for 15 minutes and plug it back in. He then stated that if it didn't work, it was probably the circuit board. That was it. He pulled the refrigerator out but never removed the back panel, never inspected the components, never cleaned the coils, never checked the fan, and never performed any meaningful troubleshooting. I specifically left the back panel alone because the appliance instructions state it should only be removed by a technician. After paying for what amounted to almost no service, I decided to investigate myself because I couldn't afford to waste money on another service call. I removed the back panel and immediately found that the coils were extremely dusty, proving they had not even been cleaned or inspected. I also found that the fan was not running. The manufacturer's service manual was attached inside the panel, so I looked up the diagnostic information and retrieved the error code. Surprise--it wasn't the circuit board at all. The issue pointed to the fan. I was able to do more troubleshooting in a few minutes than the paid technician did during the entire visit. To make matters worse, I was overcharged by about $30. I was told over the phone that paying by card would be cheaper, so I paid by card. That turned out to be false. When I called the office to ask about it, I was met with attitude from the woman who answered. She claimed I was supposed to call separately to make payment in order to receive the discount. Not once during any of my calls was I told that. So to summarize: * Missed appointment windows and hours-long delays. * Technician did virtually no diagnostic work. * Incorrect diagnosis. * Didn't inspect or clean obvious problem areas. * Overcharged compared to the quoted price. * Poor customer service when I called to address the issue. I paid good money for someone to come to my home and do less troubleshooting than I was able to do myself with the manufacturer's manual. I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend this company to anyone. Save your money and look elsewhere. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

I called Johnson Appliance this morning at 9 am- I have a Whirlpool Duet washer that has a…read moremalfunctioning door. A code F26 flashes when trying to start the washer. I told this to them- I thought they would be able to figure out I needed a new door switch since they are professional appliance repairmen. After all, a simple internet search told us what the code meant! The repairman showed up late, I showed him what the problem was. He went out to his truck to see if he had the part- after 20 minutes, he came back in, said the part would take 2 or 3 days to get and charged me 65.00! Too bad they wouldn't tell me this morning that they did not have the part. Would have saved me a day of waiting for this guy to show up and 65.00 paid to him for basically sitting in his truck for 40 minutes- 20 minutes when he got to my house (I was watching when he pulled up) and 20 minutes to look for the part! Just checked my receipt- it says paid Visa 65.00 (it was a Discover card) and to the right of that it says door latch 125.00, labor 35.00 and service 65.00- an estimate for 225.00? Online the part is available for 80.00. So...tonight my husband and I are making a trip to Sears Outlet to buy a new washer. By the way- I love Sears Outlet and I love their repair people. Too bad our washer was no longer under warranty. It lasted 11 years with only one repair. How this business got an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau is beyond me!!

No apology or concern about customer. Tech seemed to have memory issues regarding appointment times & refused to come back out without additional new service fees. Disappointed. It seemed shady.
