I've always been hesitant to go to a medspa because of what I've read and heard about how pushy some businesses can be with new clients. I also felt intimidated that I would be talked down to because I have only researched treatments and have had no prior experience. I'm really thankful to say that my experience at Skin Refine Medspa has been extremely positive. I felt seen, heard and understood. Most of all I felt safe! I've been going to Skin Refine since January of last year and I absolutely loved my experience so much, I've been returning since and recommending them to my friends! In fact, I just went in today and felt confident to schedule a new treatment for myself. Thank you to the Skin Refine staff for making me feel safe and secure in my own skin. I am grateful for the ability to ask questions without committing to anything until I'm ready. I feel beautiful and so happy with my results!

Maryam has been incredible as my provider for fraxel laser, microneedling, and RHA redensity treatments. I've also received diamondglows here. It's a great refresher for your face. Maryam also provided tips on maximizing results and always takes your opinion in her recommendations. Altogether, my face has vastly improved. You can argue the treatments are pricy, but buying packages will get you a discount. I just think that's how the industry works so always get packages if you can. This place has a variety of treatment options, though they don't offer something like subcision, which is a more-involved procedure. But I'll just get that somewhere else and continue to come here for other treatments. Of course, they've recommended fillers and such for me. Rha redensity is like one. But they've been respectful that I prefer treatments like fraxel laser and such. There is a reason why they recommend filler though, because it does show faster results than others. The rha redensity provided the most improvement in a shorter time. They also have the skincare you need to purchase with ease. You're going to say those are expensive but they're not selling you products like La mer cream for $400. There is a parking lot, and there's always been space when I went, but the traffic getting there can be a bit much. All in all, I recommend doing at least one treatment here to see how you like it. You can also visit their instagram to see other's results. You might even see mine!

She really took the time to listen to my concerns about looking "frozen" and walked me through exactly how many units I needed for a natural, refreshed look. She has such a gentle touch--I barely felt a pinch! For my second follow-up, I saw Dr. Tran, and the level of care was just as high. He is incredibly knowledgeable and has a great eye for facial symmetry. He made sure everything was balanced perfectly, and the results have been spot on both times. Because of that positive experience, I returned and specifically requested the same look and the same filler that had been used previously. Instead, the doctor chose to use a different filler and gave me a much less full result than what I had clearly requested. When I expressed my concerns, I was told that the doctor ultimately decides which filler to use, yet patients are still charged the same regardless of whether they receive the filler they specifically requested. I found that frustrating, especially since I came back expecting the same results I had received before. The outcome was also noticeably uneven. When I returned for a follow-up to address the asymmetry, I felt like my concerns were being dismissed and there was pushback regarding the look I had originally requested. The doctor acknowledged that my lips were uneven and attempted to correct them. While he did add more volume to my upper lip, which is what I had been asking for from the beginning, he left my lower lip untouched. As a result, my lips still appear unbalanced and uneven. And the upper lip still looks uneven. It's way overfilled on one side and deflated on the other side. What is most disappointing is that the unevenness was never fully corrected properly despite follow up touch up. I trusted this office because of my first experience, but this second experience was completely different. I left feeling dissatisfied with the results, and disappointed that my concerns were not properly addressed. Unfortunately, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this office based on my experience. Pictures below: Upper lip doesn't match lower lip. On my first visit a year ago both my upper and lower had same volume after filler, and this time around he used a different filler even though I expressed wanting same exact volume as my first visit, on my follow up the dr wanted to charge me more when I told the him that I was upset because my lips didn't look as full as the first time when I got them done, and he said he he'll correct the unevenness on my upper lip bc clearly there's a gap but he left the bottom lip untouched. It looks ridiculous. I'm so upset ! The upper lip looks ugly as well. I'm so disappointed!

I was scheduled for double eyelid surgery on October 18th and traveled from Sacramento to San Jose for the procedure. Right before my appointment, Dr. Lay called to say he was "sick" and needed to reschedule. I was frustrated, but I tried to be understanding. He then booked me for November 15th at noon. I arrived early at 11:00 AM, only for him to cancel on me at 11:30 AM--thirty minutes before my surgery. He admitted he was still in bed, claiming he was "sick" again. There was no genuine apology, no urgency, no professionalism whatsoever. At that point, it was clear this doctor cannot be trusted with anyone's time, money, or medical care. I demanded a full refund and will never deal with him again. If you value your time and sanity, go elsewhere. The text message from Dr. Lay was sloppy. At this point it looked less like he was "sick" and more like he was hungover and couldn't even send a proper text.

I met Maria several years ago when she was doing gel nails. The studio is very clean, airy and secure. During the consultation, Maria took the time to explain the process in a thorough, scientific manner. She answered all of my questions and was able to book my appointment within the week. At the actual appointment, I was nervous that I might feel the process. Maria placed the numbing gel on my eyebrows, gave it time to do it's job then started the procedure. I kept anticipating feeling the micro blades injecting the glycolic acid into my eyebrows, but her touch is such that it felt as though she was only brushing my eyebrows with a firm brush. While she did this, she explained each step in between chatting which was a great distraction for me. I have had two sessions for color removal and the color is coming out in stages as she explained.
