Randomly stopped in while helping a family member house hunt nearby -- and what a hidden gem! The pizzas here are unique, and the whole place is decorated like a basketball fan's dream. I probably wouldn't recommend the breadsticks, but highly recommend the loaded potato pizza. I'll be thinking about that one for a while. Service was friendly, and even though we came during off-hours (so the buffet wasn't open), prices were very reasonable. Mozzi's Pizza is a five-location, Hancock County-based mini-chain of pizza joints that I thought for sure I had visited in Richmond - however, I was assured that all their locations are in Hancock County - two in Greenfield, one in New Palestine, one in Mt. Comfort, and one in Fortville. This location is located directly on U.S. 40 in Greenfield. The location is decorated with a strong basketball theme that is fun to experience including a nicely decorated Reggie Miller display. They do have a daily buffet, though I had just missed it when I arrived. I had the day off work and decided to go for a drive on the eastside. After checking out options, I stopped at Mozzi's for a late lunch. They have two accessible parking spots out front, though they're not quite ADA. They do have a nice curb cut and due to my arrival just outside the usual lunchtime I had no difficulty finding a spot where I could get in/out in the wheelchair. The entry involves two different sets of doors (as I recall, they're both double-sided). A rather nice customer stopped and opened both for me. As you enter, you go straight to pick-up or order. To the left is a dining area that also has two smaller rooms (one room is not wheelchair accessible as it has a step, however, the main room is just fine and the side room is just fine). The main employee I dealt with was super friendly. She was definitely a selling point for the restaurant. She was helpful, conversational, and we discussed everything from Greenfield to a Franklin, Indiana bookstore. As it was a holiday, I made a note that police must've been bored because I'd been followed multiple times in Hancock County. She made a joke about the county being known as "hancuff" county. I guess you had to be there (It was funny!), though it was clear they have a positive relationship with the local police. I ordered a small pepperoni pan pizza. It was definitely bigger than expected (I believe eight slices instead of the usual six). I made the mistake of also ordering garlic bread - way too much food. They carry Pepsi products and do have iced tea. I did enjoy the pizza, though it was a touch overly done. I do like mine with a crispness, though this was a bit much. It honestly could have easily served two in my opinion. If I'd gotten there for the buffet, pricing would have been reasonable. However, at $19 I did feel like it was a bit steep. Not bad, but I'd definitely focus next time on arriving for the buffet or skipping the side item. 3.5 is probably a more accurate rating. This was a good meal, however, it was really the employee and the atmosphere that sold it for me. Dining out is my main socialization since I live alone and don't have family around - this was a pleasant experience and the type that makes you want to return. So, I'm skewing upward to the 4-star rating. In addition to pizza, they have salads, calzones, some sandwiches, pasta, appetizers, a handful of desserts, and they do have some beer options. While I can't say this was a destination experience, I'd definitely return when I'm in the area. read more

Don't go. It was 2:00 on a Sunday afternoon . The buffet had pizza out but was told it was closed. Sign said they close at 9:00 so was confused as to why. Decided to stay and order a large 2 topping pizza with half just cheese along with an order of garlic knots, two pepsi two side salads. By the way no prices on menu. Pizza wasn't cooked long enough. Salad was okay but nothing special. The shock was I was charged $11.00 each for the salad and my bill was almost $80.00. My fault for trusting this place again. Owners may have changed but same terrible quality. They just charge more. If buffet is only certain times then post it on line. Put your prices in the menu. So we had not been to Mozzi's for a long time but we decided to give them a go today. We got there about 2 30 in the afternoon and we walked in and the girl that was at the counter asked how many of us there were, and we said seven and she sort of rolled her eyes. She said well if you want the buffet all the pizza is old on the buffet so apparently the buffet had closed for the day and then she asked if we were going to order off the menu. We said we would order off the menu. She took us to a table and brought us the menus and then came back and said oh yeah the cook went to the bank so if you're going to order food it might take a little while. We all looked at each other and because we had a small child and an infant we had already loaded into seats we decided to stay and that was our first mistake. I had heard rumblings about this Mozzi's and it's new owner. It may have actually been the owner that waited on us and I'm not sure but he may have also been the one doing the cooking. He took our orders and I ordered the potato skins appetizer and it ended up coming out after I got my pizza. The couple at the end of the table had ordered a sausage pizza and that finally came out when the rest of us were halfway done with our food. My order consisted of a veggie pizza and the potato skins. Definitely do not recommend the potato skins and the pizza was just okay. The place was empty though, only one other person there when we got there. We set at the table and talked a bit and left about 4:00 and all that old pizza was still sitting on the buffet. Maybe they just don't have enough help to adequately run the place. I think I will spend my hard-earned money elsewhere. read more

Sad day, after 35 years of dining here got turned away at 8:30pm on a Saturday night. Said the dining room closed at 8:30 and we couldn't dine in. Sign on the wall said they're open until 10:30pm and their own website says 9pm for dine in. Also, I checked times before I went. Mozzis at US 40 and MT Comfort Rd has the rudest manager and employees I have witnessed in a restaurant. My neighbor ordered a pizza and bread sticks for me for mowing his lawn and I thought he worked at this location. I said Johnson no. 74 and they said they had no Johnson, then I said that my neighbor ordered it for me. Then the manager said they don't have anyone by that name here and I said ok. I said let me find out where it is at and the manager started yelling saying there is no Matt F*:&+!"g working here and I said calm down I'm just trying to find out where my order was and the Manager and employees said get the F out of here. I was treated like a piece of crap and just because I went to the wrong location in Greenfield. The Pacer themed Mozzis is a 5 Star established and the General Manager takes pride in his establishment and employees, well done Matt. Mozzis at US 40 and Mt Comfort should be closed permanently because no customer should be treated so badly and I know I am not the first person treated this way. A concerned citizen that will possibly take further action against this location for verbally abusive language and feeling threatened by Manager and a few employees that were making the pizzas. read more

My 13 year old grandson stopped at Mozzi's (US 40 location) on the way home from a field trip and had the buffet. He had the all you can eat buffet. The workers stopped him from eating and said he couldn't have anymore "because he ate too much." He's tiny at 13 and weighs about 65 lbs. Regardless, he paid for all you can eat and they stopped a growing boy who paid like everyone else from eating any more. If there's a limit, don't advertise "all you can eat." Do better!!! read more

We got finished some earlier truck r treating in Greenfield and the little guy was really hungry. It was at little early for dinner but we said why not and stopped into Mozzi. Mozzi's needs to clarify their times for the Pizza Buffet. Tonight I looked on my iPhone for the closing time. It simply said 10:00pm. It didn't say anything about separate time for the buffet. My husband and I have been a few times and never knew about separate times. We took out of state visitors for the buffet and arrived at 7:50pm. There were going to be 8 of us all together. 3 got lost and arrived 25 min later. At approximately 8:30 they announced that they would not be putting anymore pizza out. There wasn't much left and it wasn't very fresh looking. We had bragged and bragged about this place. They either should have discounted the buffet, or not sold it. So, so disappointed. With drinks our bill was $80.00. If it were normal circumstances, fine. Today after church we came with friends and everything was great! No problems or issues whatsoever. read more

Mozzi's is just fine, if you like bowling alley pizza. As chain pizza goes it is not the worst, but it could be much better. The store was immaculately clean and the staff were friendly beyond expectations. That's their strength. Sadly, while the toppings on their pizzas are good, tasty and plentiful (they do charge for each topping) their crust, which makes up the majority of pizza, was just not a good example of what a decent pizza crust should be. Kind of tough and not tasty. It served more as a topping delivery platform than an integral part of the dish. Their pan pizza was really indistinguishable from the normal style, where taste and texture were concerned. Their gluten free pizza offers lots of toppings but, as with the others, the crust is lacking (to be expected though, as most gluten free crusts come from a bag). All in all, nowhere near the best pizza I have had, but it would do if nothing else were around. Sadly, Greenfield is not overrun with great pizza. read more

The experience of Mozzi's for my family was amazing! The food is good, the employees are nice, and the place is just overall great. The first time my family took me there I was about 3 or 4, this memory sticks with me because I only ate the cookies then! But now that I'm older and eat the actual food, it really does taste good. One of the best parts of the place is that you can kind of see them making the pizza, which is pretty cool! Another pretty amazing thing is that one of the rooms you can eat in is a basketball court! Or close to one. I have only had delivery. The pizza arrived hot, and just what I ordered. The delivery people have been very kind and polite.

This was our first and last visit to Mozzi's. Stopped in for a quick bite before catching a movie at Legacy Theater. We were there 35 minutes and that entire time I only saw two tables served their pizza while I sat and watched box after box being packed up for carryout and delivery. After 35 minutes, we still had not gotten our pizza and we had to leave to avoid being late for the movie. Looks like if you want to eat pizza from Mozzi you need to order it for carryout or delivery. Maybe they should dedicate one or two people to making the pizza's for in-person dining. read more
